Thanks for letting me know. What should I request for exactly when I talk to the tier 2 officer? I was trying to contact uscis customer service yesterday and the wait time was like 7 hours and the call got disconnected after an hour of waiting. I guess I need to try calling them very early morning.

When I called I had to wait 40 minutes. I hesitated to ask for level 2 officer, but I should’ve not, because  the customer service representative was nice but couldn’t really do anything and almost sent me away with nothing- until I asked if she could contact the field office and make sure they received my documents. She said she couldn’t but she arranged a call back from level 2 person. So what I asked was “How can I make sure they received my response since the last status update was even before the interview?” I also couldn’t wait for their official sixty something days because that would’ve been past my response deadline which they indicated in rfe

Thanks for letting me know. The only concern right now is that we don't know the current status of how long it takes for uscis to review the sent rfe medical, approve the green card and send the card by mail. It's been almost 3 weeks now and we didn't hear anything back. Is there anything we can do to expedite this rfe review and approval process based on our immediate travel needs? How long is it taking uscis currently to approve the green card in cases like these?

I had similar situation - RFE after the interview, not medical though. The same thing with the status, was “Interview was scheduled “, and my biggest concern was - had USCIS even received my response???

I called them like one month after I’d sent the documents, tier 2 officer submitted request on my behalf and in a few days (less than a week) I got my approval.

I guess my biggest question is, can we send the AoS in with my surname in place of hers, even though Virginia marriage license doesn't list a spot to do that? Or does everything need to match exactly on the marriage license.

      Thanks for the correction :)

    Hey there, I’m from Virginia

When I filed AOS I just put my husbands  last name in all the forms, got EAD with the new one so no problem with that

I did get new SSN before my I-94 expired, to have a new card with the new last name  but actually that was completely unnecessary, I just didn’t know I’d get one with my EAD 😏

Based on other Norfolk timelines, I see that people get their interview notices anywhere between 6.5 - 7.5 months after filing. Not meaning to give you false hopes, but hopefully it's right around the corner. :)

    Hey you were sooo right!!

Our interview is scheduled for June 6th, online status changed a week ago

For some reason USCIS sent the interview notice to my previous address (we moved a few  months ago), even though I did change of address online, and I got my EAD card to the new one 🤦‍♀️

Now it’s time to get all the documents and pictures  together !!

Thanks for the info. Looks like you are one month ahead of me - please let us all know when you get your interview notification. I'd think you will receive it some time in mid-May.

When I did my biometrics, there was barely anyone there, how strange.

I hope I receive it soon, but who knows what’s on their mind 🤷‍♀️

Will keep you informed on any updates

Hello everyone. Norfolk filer here with PD of Nov-13. So far I haven't heard anything and my status has been "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" since mid-December.

Any other Norfolk filers out there? If you're reading this, please join this forum to give others an idea for timescales. Does anyone know how long of a wait to expect for the Norfolk office these days?

Hey there! My local office is Norfolk too, NOA-1 October 15th, and last update “Fingerprint review was completed “ at the end of November and silence since that day... So looks like my case is still in NBC 😒

It’s actually a bit odd how few entries are here for the Norfolk office, because when I got to my biometrics appointment there was a huge line there... 🤷‍♀️

Anyways, so far we only have @Bianca89 with the interview date (good luck there girl ☺️) and she’s 2 months ahead! So if we’re as lucky as she is we’ll get our interviews in a couple of months too 😎

    Congratulations!

I noticed you too are going to be dealing with the Moscow Consulate. Please let me(us) know how the interview scheduling process goes. My fiancee in Moscow is worried about the length of the process since the current diplomatic situation is not great.

    Again, congratulations!

Of course, I'll keep you informed!

to be honest, I'm really worried about it too

I found some information on Russian forum, one girl scheduled an interview on 25 oct, like couple of weeks ago, and she said that was the only available date <_<
