I printed my tax transcript from the  IRS website. Just make sure you select the option for immigration purpose. I did not have any issue.  Goodluck

I was then given a gift bag with some souvenirs ( i didn't look inside but I think its books about the museum, passport form, flag etc) 

 

According to my invite, my ceremony was a "special naturalization oath event". which started around 11 am with the National guards ( US Customs and Border Protection) marching on stage to start off ceremony. Followed by the national anthem and welcome remarks by the director of USCIS from Northeast region, and board of trustee NY historical society. 

 

People from 59 countries were sworn in--- I think I am only one from my country. When our countries name was called we were to stand and remain standing. A speech was then given by one of the Supreme Justice. To which we later took the oath and pledge allegiance, followed by going on stage to receive our certificates. 

The most time was spent before the ceremony ...I think the reason was they were waiting for people to come in... 

 

Nevertheless...I am done. The master of the ceremony told us to wait two weeks before we go to our district SS office. Tomorrow I am applying for my passport. 

 

 

To all the others who are still waiting... your time will soon come...everything will soon fall into place. We have to be patient and keep the faith. for me, at times it seems overbearing but only God knows... Today it is approximately one year and 28 days since I filled.  Bless you all.

I hear you on that @ coming to an end. I pass one year since I filed...I am ready to be done with this entire process... Congrats to you as well. Make sure and come back and tell us how the ceremony went... I am hoping mine does not go on for hours.

I would want to believe its the new policies that had recently been put in place and has absolutely nothing to do with your case. I think there is a backlog in application across the board and we just have to wait it out.

So apparently I didn't know that you have to "wait in line" for the oath ceremony as well.

They put me in a line on 2/20 and scheduled me on 3/9, so that was about a 2-week wait.

I am inline for my Oath ceremony too. I got that update on March 1st ....still waiting for date. My yr anniversary was yesterday.

My status was changed on March first to oath ceremony will be scheduled. i am waiting

Well good for you. I was not told that. I was told by IO it may take up to 120 days. Was told the same thing by Tier one officer. Well congrats to you I hope you get your oath letter soon. My letter is in the mail coming. My interview was on Valentine's day.

After that i filed another one and never received a response from them.

I am assuming when you do get an interview you will have an oath same day... that is unacceptable...I assure you its absolutely nothing on your end... my IO said they received the highest amount of application that shes have ever seen since she been working there ---In February and March of last year.... And she has been there for a while ....well at my field office. So I told her that some people case seem to be processing at a faster time than others...On our end it's really stressful ...I would call them every week... even if they tell you to call in two weeks. I would be calling non-stop. Keep us posted...

WOW...and you did the service request and nothing still?Man I don't know... Is your country on the travel ban? what is the holdup? Is it background check? what are they saying? A service request after you pass processing time should have given you priority status.

I started to feel that it's useless to call or do infopass or anything.

Even congressman or ombudsman's office is useless.

Did you check to see if your case is pass their processing time on the  USCIS Website

So yesterday after I called USCIS to f/u with them about my oath... i was told even though next week make one yr I filed and I was recommended for approval....even though all that it may take 120 days  to get in line for oath. According to them, there are more steps taken after the interview.... I really flip on the tier one officer...I asked so what were your people doing the whole 10 months prior to my interview...its all bs.... Anyhow, I just got an update that I am inline for oath... I want this to be over with. I dont understand.  Zero criminal histories...i don't drive ...what the heck....Yall who still waiting call them... 

I am not sure, I filed under the 5 year rule, but if you filed through your hubby I am sure he can accompany you to the interview. I saw so many couples today in the sitting area and was asked if anyone is accompanying me. I said no. and was given a number and told someone will call my number at door 1. Really it lasted about 15 mins or less.

Unfortunately for me, I got a decision cannot be made and I’m nearing the 120 mark

Today after I completed my interview...the vibes I am getting is I really think  NYC has a serious backlog problem.  Guess you have to wait until the deadline is up to put in a service request ...make sure you tell Tier 2 officer that you are out of the 120 days time frame since your interview. I think that a lot of background checks are sometimes not even completed before the interview...smh.. please keep me posted...I am rooting for you.

Hey I see you are from the Bronx, I am too.I had my test today the IO said that the oath ceremony is scheduled as per our borough. I had the interview at federal plaza ....My Priority date was March 20, 2017. Hope that helps. Lets stay in touch

 I completed my interview today. Last a total of 15 minutes. My IO first made me swear to tell truth etc, then went over my application. asking about trips and what I do for work etc. Then I had the civic and English test----I passed. She gave me a copy of Form N652 with results checked off that I passed test and congratulation my application recommended for approval. Now I have to wait for Oath in the mail. she also said starting from today it could take up to 120 days after examination to get a date. This is all bullshit --even though I told her they are way passed my processing time. But hey you guys ...I am almost there

i am still awaiting for approval for application it’s been almost two months and it’s been crazy ride

after multiple service requests, the philly office which is prompt is respond on Jan 19th responsed that application was approved and pending oath appointment schedule.

 

Next day receive an email that oath cannot scheduled as they need to do additional review of my green card application for n400. It is being shipped from vermont. Also the interviewing officer in on vacation for three weeks so please provide ample time for review and scheduling

 

well kudos for transparency but just not sure what is going. It really demoralizing and disappointment when others are walking away with oath appointment in front of you and I still need to wait for 1 and going. Just not sure what is going on. 

 

I passed the exam, clean app and interviewer said will approved after supervisor approval in a couple of days.....

hang in there...Ive heard that lately, they've been doing another check after approval. I will not worry... keep us posted and congrats on passing test

suggest you to bring 2 passport photo just in case, if the IO took it , then you can save time for the oath, if IO doesn't take it, u can save it for your passport application.

hey guys my interview letter just arrived. Interview date is Feb 14 ( 02/14/18). Please update my status. I Have a question they did not ask me to bring ANY document besides my green card and pp?????  Is this standard FOR NYC FO?
