Last July my husband paid 1850 MAD to one of the doctors in Casablanca. Included his vaccinations, xrays, physical. Everything that he needed.

I think it all just depends on the service center. Dallas seems to be busy. My husband filed 11/16/17 for AOS based on K1. Interview was 3/13/2018 and he was approved and received conditional greencard a week later. He actually received his EAD a week after that (so he didn't get it before). We were through the Cincinnati office and it seems like the timelines were quicker than other areas.  If your status has changed and is no longer giving information- I would reach out to USCIS.

We had the same issue. We ended up going to the social security office two weeks after his arrival, and he had no problem. I think they have different access to the SAVE database. As long as it has been two weeks since your arrival, I would suggest going into the office and applying.

I have a male friend in Morocco and I would like him to visit me in the United States.  I am confused about the best way to arrange this.  It seems complicated and difficult to get.  He has recently received his Moroccan passport, but has never traveled outside of Morocco before.  He is self employed as a welder.  What is the quickest and easiest Visa for him to apply for? What I can do to help aid in this process? Write a letter of support?

My fiancé from Morocco was approved through the K1 process in July and he arrived in August. It is highly doubtful you can get him a visitor visa to the US, its a high fraud country. You cannot file the K1 until you have actually met in person, which means you will need to visit him. When filing the K1 visa, you will need to send a great deal of proof of the relationship. Morocco has a lot of denials for K1, but it is most certainly possible (we are proof of that).

E-mail the consulate to ask status. This is what we did, and they emailed back the next day with his interview date.
