  1. What airline goes directly - non stop to JFK?. Im in Dallas but am thinking about flying fiancee to JFK for work visa. All searches have pulled up a connect or stopover in Miami. Will this be a problem, can he still get visa once landing in JFK? Any info would be helpful.

    American, AirJamaica & Delta.

  2. If she returns home and you are not married, there are no options.

I would notify USCIS cs. just to cover youself in the event she doesnt catch the flight home and makes a stop off. This should remove all legal responsibility off of you. Sorry & Good luck. Tell her it takes time for any transition. Maybe you can find her some groups from her country that she can speak & relate to.

  3. Just left Jamaica. Went to Registrar Generals office to apply for the No Impediment form. FYI, cost was $100 US. Very expensive. Lady requested a copy of fiancees birth certificate, we didnt bring it with us, but she was very helpful & pulled him up in the system when he verbally verified his parents names, dob & location of birth. She said that the document wasnt on the web & most likely will not be placed on there for security reasons. She stated that this new document was requested by US Immigration. I hope this helps you all. It takes up to 3 weeks to receive the form & you can have it shipped to a different location for pickup that may be closer to your fiancees home. We went & ordered it in Sav La Mar. Go to the Registrar Generals Website & you can personally go to the office that is closest to you. Office closed on Friday @ 3pm. It took us less than an hour to complete. They do not take credit cards.

ps, she would not give me a copy of one, nor was I able to keep a copy of the printed confirmation page.

  5. OK--George went to Kingston yesterday and picked up Packet 3, and also stopped to try to get his police clearnce, but didn't realize he needed $2,000J, so has to go back Monday. He'll complete the DS230 over the weekend so he can drop it off on Monday also. Am I correct that the does not need to pay anything to hand over the DS230? That after he pays for the medical (which I think is $95 US in MoBay), he onlyhas left to pay for the visa itself ($100US) an the fingerprints ($$35US?) He's already taken care of the no impediment to marriage thing. What am i missing?

    Ann

Ann what is the no impediment document? Can I find this on the web? Is there a document number?
