  1. Hi everyone! and to my fellow Dallas filers in this thread.  We got approved on the spot today. God is great!  Do not be afraid if your marriage is really true they will see it right away. I have bunch of additional evidence but the officer said he doesn't need to look at them.  We just answered the yes or no on the i-485 and was asked about each other's birthday.  The officer said we are approved and should just wait for the mail in the next 14 days. Just an advice though. dress in business suit,  we got complimented by doing so. Wishing everyone a successful journey!

    AOS - Marriage based

    PD  02/07/2017

    Interview date 06/21/2018

    Approved on the spot

Anyways, if your drivers license is expired and your EAD renewal is still in process..You can go to DPS and tell them about the SAVE PROGRAM. They will give you a case number that you will need to bring to USCIS office so they could Verify it and then go back to DPS/DMV and they will renew your drivers license.

we got an emergency appointment: by bringing a letter from employer that i will lose my job if my drivers license and ead expires.

Just showing the NOA (of the EAD renewal) alone wont be accepted by DPS?

I was ready for an interview since February 2017, and until yesterday, nothing had changed, but luckily yesterday I got the message that there was an update to my case, whether my case has been scheduled for an interview or is in the line to be scheduled for an interview, (I hope is the first one 🤞🏼) I have to wait until the letter come by mail (stalking the mail since yesterday 👀)

    I hope yours change soon!!

That's very reassuring. Keep us updated!

I filed in January 2017, but it seems that that thread doesn’t exist anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m also from Dallas, and it appears the same message as you, I don’t know why, but when I called the USCIS contact center and it says the same as before that message, I’m ready to be scheduled for an interview. Have you called?

I'm also from Dallas. I'm "ready to be interviewed" since April 2017... one year later I'm still  here waiting..

It's so hard to believe that the new processing times are accurate... I compared the AOS processing times of my field office to Los Angeles. Most of the people from Los Angeles that were in this and the March AOS thread including some friends received their interview within 4-6 months (with only very few exceptions). This page says 10-24 months?! That is a huge discrepancy. It's a known thing that Los Angeles City office processes the applications fairly fast. Compared to that San Diego is supposedly 6-18.5 months and thus a lot faster even though everywhere else San Diego is always around the 9-10months mark (which was accurate for my case). I recently saw some more people with LA office getting their interviews around the 5 months mark so it is still pretty current.

Also, that is a very broad estimate that they are giving with an entire year difference?! Could be 6 months or also 18 months????

I'd follow the data here on VJ to be honest as it always seemed the most accurate to me.... I feel like this new processing time table wants to prevent that people keep on bugging USCIS with the excuse "hey it says online that you are currently processing cases from the date XY but you received my cases two weeks prior to that date. How is that possible?" I wouldn't pay too much attention to the new processing times. Yes it likely will take longer than usual, but not this long!!! :)

I'm kinda wishing that I live in LA right now. LOL... I know a friend who got her greencard in just 4 months. So it's really upsetting when a lot of us are still waiting for 14 months now

I saw the new times. For a Houston filer the amount of time for AOS is 11 months to 29.5 months. Any service requests not 30 months or older will be just answered that the case is within normal processing times. And yes the non normal time would go back to 2015!!!

Yeah, I know right. I remember when I checked sometime February before the new website was launched the processing time for Dallas was January 4, 2018, I was so excited. Then when the new processing time was launched.. i literally fainted seeing it went back to 2015!:(

  7. It's been a year.. ..OMG! To all of you who are still waiting like me...

I got a response to my SR "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case.  USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."

    This is just depressing.

  8. I got a reply to my service request made sometime September 2017 (took 4 months).. "USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. Your local USCIS Field Office will contact you once they are able to schedule the appointment. Should you not be contacted by your local USCIS Field Office within 90 days of this notice, please contact customer service at the number provided"

It's a glimmer of hope somehow. Hopefully.. I'll get my schedule soon.

Thank you!  Yes the Senators Office heard back from the National benefit Center they say that case is assigned to an officer and is currently under review and that I would receive a decision or notice of other action shortly. The response from Senator John Cornyn office was rather quick, cudos to them.

Well, i did receive a response from the good senator but the same canned response that you'll get from a customer service.. like they are still processing nov 14, 2016 .

Question! Husband and I sent AOS packet off in February This year which includes form 1-864 and all its supporting documents. (I met the poverty guidelines for two). Since then we move to a new state in October I got a transfer from my company but they lower my pay rate and switched me to part-time for the time being. Since moving we receive our interview notice for this month of the 13th. I just started working again in late novmeber barely getting any hrs. Since am working for the same company  the wages I have been making as just been adding on to what I have been making the whole time before the move. My year to date on my paystub is currently 35k my last year return I submitted with the original affidavit is 29k. But the hrs n pay rate am getting now is not and doesnt qualify if they were to check. Will I still need a co-sponor by the time the interview comes. Also my husband got a full time job in November with is EAD n ssn and is wages is  over the poverty level for 2 when calculated annually can i use him instead of trying to find a co sponsor last minute of do I even need one?

I'd say bring all your documents pertaining to yours and your husband salaries. The officer might ask for them, if he/she still  need more documents he'll give you an RFE or say your case needs further review..  At least you're in for interview, you can just explain to them your new situation. Best of luck!
