You pay the USCIS visa fee after the visa is approved. ($220 USD) you pay that after visa is approved but before arriving to the US
Ok thank u, I think my petitioner will do this for us.

After you paid the fees how soon did you receive a checklist? and then how soon afterbis your interview? Curious about timelines, thanks! Congratulations!
I received the checklist from Nvc last June.

Did they say you have to correct something on the I-864? In that case your husband must fill in the form again, make the correction and sign it again,
Yes , okay so need to be prepared on that

Did you send the original (wet signature one) to the NVC? If so, they will probably not ask for the copy. I had one with me just in case, better safe than sorry
Yes my husband sent it to the Nvc.
But we received check list from Nvc for I 864 3a-27...

You do not need to pay anything at the embassy. Once your visa is approved and you have it in hand, you can pay the Immigrant Fee (Green card fee which is $220). You can pay it either before or after you enter the US, but USCIS encourages immigrants to pay it before.
More info: https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/uscis-immigrant-fee
Oh... Thank u the info! 😊

You have probably gotten your results by now. In my case 4 years ago, they didn't give the results any earlier. I am not really sure. If you made it through, there is a big chance that the results are negative. Otherwise, they would have notified you earlier. Best of luck!
Yes, I'm negative!
SLMEC sent me email 1day b4 the given schedule to call them. We went to SLMEC afternoon I think b4 4pm and we finished everything we need to do for about 2 hours and 30 mins... quick than going early in the morning...

Is there anyone here from PHilippines who have an idea if SLEC give earlier result prior the given date?
My scheduled to call them to find my result is on Sept 29. I keep calling since last Fri but no result still. I will try to call again tomorrow.
Last 2014 I read forum telling slec gave result 4 days prior the given sched. But that was 3 years ago.
Hopefully someone read my post and share with me the experience they had..
Feeling excited here!
Btw, is it true that when u reach the 8 weeks means you are 100% negative from TB?

Oh ok. That's practical then.
I believe I got flagged for sputum test because I smoked heavily for 10 years or so. I only quit last year. And smoking really does show on x-ray. The pulmunologist informed me that St. Lukes will subject you to the dreaded sputum test if they see something on your xray no matter how small it (spot or shadow) is. Prior to my medical in SLEC I underwent 2 annual physical exams - June 2016 and April 2017. Last year July I underwent full medical workup as well before a surgery. So I believe I will be cleared. I've also checked on here in VJ and seems like majority of those who were required sputum test came back negative.
That's what i read in Vj. Almost negative!
Well my husband told me if I have tb my kids easily to catch that. Sometimes we drink in same glass and talk very close that's my saliva went to them😂😋 . But kids are clear in their xray.
2 months waiting is lot of nervous!

I personally think you don't need to do another test done at another clinic as the result would honestly not matter. SLEC only consider their own tests. Standard sputum culture test really takes 2 months. I've googled it and apparently it is the most accurate test for TB.
There will be medical staff there who will help you. There are TV monitors that play FAQs and give tips for the Sputum test. Also the medical staff will check your sputum sample if it's ok or not. Just make sure to fast starting 12 am until you,ve given your sample, not even candy. Do not put on lipstick or lip gloss. Do not be late or you will have to repeat the test and you will be rescheduled which will further delay you.
I did early sputum test here in my area b4 my sputum in SLMEC coz I need to find out my result. In my result will depend if we need to enrol our kids in school.
Since I was negative no need to them to enrol.
My result is NEGATIVE IN ALL 3 SPUTUM, NO ACID FAST BACILI FOUND

I had the same experience during my medical. They say that something on my X ray results that they need further test. So I did the sputum test and I hate it and it grosses me, you where in open area, everyone is trying hard to give samples of their sputum. And after 2 months of culture test I'm negative and still they're not convinced and so they asked me to do the gene testing only then their satisfied with the results. I know how it feels.
Wow, I thought culture test is accurate to test if have tb. So why they doubt your result.
Very stressful!

I too was flagged for Sputum test. I'm done, just waiting for the result on 3rd week of August. To answer your question, NO. They also test for latent TB which doesn't show the typical TB symptoms. We have no options but to wait.
By the way, can u share with me how to collect phlegm in easiest way.
I have no cough and its so hard for me to collect phlegm.
My 2nd sputum, no phlegm come out.from my deepest breathing (I follow SLMEC instruction) so my 2nd sputum came from my throat/nasal. Hopefully that's fine.

Our interview will be reschedule around Oct.
My 2 kids are almost done to their medical they are for vaccination. Last step to them to complete medical.
But mine, not yet. I need to do sputum and culture test which waiting 2 months for the result. Collecting sputum scheduled me Aug1,2,3.
I asked the clinic if I can repeat my xray coz i doubted. Id never feel symptoms having tb even for long time ago.they said I'm not suspected to have tb but just want me to go test to make sure its not tb.
Oh well, almost 3 mos waiting here.

Hi all,
Have a question- So if AOS tab disappears does that mean case complete or there's a possibility of a checklist?
Yes and showing AT NVC this is apply only to IR1/CR1

I rcvd our P4 July 1. NVC not yet sending our paper to embassy so we can't re sched our interview date which is on Aug 17.
We want to move early our interview date on Aug 7 for kids school preparation in USA but as per Embassy once we move early then they not yet receive docs from NVC so no interview happen. Useless for resched the date more early.
Who i am going to talk aside from NVc rep to ask when they going to send our papers to embassy?
-
Just rcv our P4 now!
NVC rep told me Aug 14. But P4 dated our interview to Aug 17!
We can do our medical next week!
Glad no appt needed here in my country.
1st come 1st served basis! And need to be on 3am or 4am if not long long long waiting...
I read that Saint Lukes extension Medical Center is lot of stress for those who experienced done their med there!

No, haven't received it yet.. but I imagine within 24/48 hours... I was already able to register our interview appointment though with our embassy.. So for sure I know it's not changing.
Each embassy process is different but ours requires us to register our appointment once we receive the letter.. But since I already had the required info, i registered us anyways.. And sure enough, when i inputted our info, everything appeared, his interview date and time, full name, etc.. So i know we're safe and it's not changing.. Keep us posted about your p4 letter. I'll do the same.
Yes I will. 😊
