Well, i check this table once a week and they recently updated it ( im not sure when but it was this week ) So the date " March 31, 2017 " is not when they update the table.. It stated there that the " Processing cases as of Dates: " is December 15, 2016 under I-129F (K1 Visa). If you read closely, you just have to add and subtract, well I hope it's that simple, but then again, it's just my own opinion. I wonder what's going on over there. ( January 23 2017 filer here )

when i called the very first time as the process had just started for me, they told me that this table only gets updated around the 15th of every month.  Don't keep checking it cause it will drive you crazy.  It has been the case every month around the 15th as long as i started.  I filed in January.  Next time they update it I'm pretty sure it will say "as of April 30, 2017" they are "working on cases from January 2017" but it's not all true.  They can't move to the next month without completely finishing the last and it make's people worry.  Don't go by this, it's less stressful!

When you called the NVC you just gave them your noa1 receipt number ? I'm going to try today, what info would I need to give them?

you need to have your receipt number and then they ask you questions to verify your information like name and birthday and the same for your fiancé. It's pretty quick, if they have your case number and invoice number ready they give it to you right away and that's it.

I'd like to say THANK YOU for sharing this information.

We were waiting for an update after sending USCIS our RFE a couple weeks ago, and despite having nothing in the mail or any updates online, my partner just received a call back and was informed that our case has been approved since May 19th and our NOA-2 is in the mail!

We wouldn't have even considered calling if you hadn't posted, so congratulations to you but more importantly thank you for sharing!

For others who have had bad experience calling, perhaps it's just bad luck...but the agent was super helpful, polite, and courteous! Stay positive, stay friendly, and keep trying! ❤

I'm so happy for you congratulations and I'm glad my experience could have helped you!  I'm still waiting for the NOA2 but we already filled out the DS-160.  Just waiting for our case to be sent to our consulate this week they said.

  4. thank you @dbmathis ... I just wanted to share cause I have seen you posting and doing scans, which we are all thankful for, and I just thought if it happened to me then maybe it could happen to someone out there as well.  Again, I didn't receive the NOA2 letter yet, if I didn't call I would still be waiting for NOA2 to arrive to my house.  It was a long shot, but I took a chance.  Now while I continue to wait on NOA2, I will just do what I can now with the info I have.  Wish you the best and hope you get the NOA2 soon!

  5. I'm considered the normal processing time too because I think they quote 3-6 months.  I just told them that it had been almost 4 months with no word on my case and that I was worried.  I got a nice person..sometimes it's a hit or miss with who answers your call cause some are unhelpful.  So the agent that answered asked me if I wanted to be called back and I said yes.  She gave me a reference number for the call and that it would be transferred to the CSC.  Because when you call, you're not calling the CSC office.  So when my phone rang, it was a California number and I answered it.  It was a gentleman and he told me he had my case in front of him and that we were approved and that it would take 2-3 weeks to get the NOA2 in the mail.  Today, something told me to call NVC and they told me that the case was opened with them on 5/18 (same day I called which leads me to believe that my papers were already on their way to NVC while my NOA2 was just sent out maybe)... cause since you're approved I think the papers still move around even if we are waiting for the hardcopy in the mail.  So instead of waiting for the hardcopy, I wanted to check if NVC at least received the papers.  It was my surprise that they had assigned a case number already while I am still waiting on the hardcopy NOA2 in the mail.
