  1. I just wanted to inform everyone I got the approval today, my wife left me (not a legal divorce but left me) back in August, I love her deeply and have informed her of the approval but she has not replied at all and she has read my message. I have stayed here in the hopes that our dates can be used to help others - I will update my timeline now although I don't believe my wife will be doing the interview or medical exam. It pains me beyond words that we have worked so hard for this and we will never enjoy this beautiful opportunity to live together that we waited so long for.

Texas Service Center I-130 spouse of a U.S. citizen
    Country of beneficiary: United Kingdom
    PD: June 7th, 2017
Date on approval letter: January 18th, 2018
Physical approval letter received in the mail: January 22nd, 2018

No RFE's, also no case status online on USCIS website or any USCIS phone apps. I had actually called USCIS about a week ago and a tier 2 officer told me 105 days as an estimate and here less than a week later I have the approval by mail.

To all of those of you waiting, love conquers all. Please hold on to each other, please be patient with each other. Instead of thinking ah there is so long to go, think of what a beautiful thing it is to have someone who loves you so much that neither time nor distance could ever come between you two. Your time will come, I wish you all nothing but infinite happiness on the day of your reunions.

sorry to hear that. I and my wife have been apart for almost 7 years. the officer told you on your case only or on all SRC cases?

I am going to do all that I can to save this marriage but thank you I appreciate it. 7 years shows that you really truly do have such a strong love and bond that nothing can come between you two, that is beautiful.

The officer told me this is for all SRC cases involving a US citizen as the petitioner, not just my case; but that those with a permanent resident as the petitioner are processing all within the next month or so for June filers. He estimated me 105 days for US citizen spouses (June filers) and roughly 30 days for permanent resident spouses (June filers).

Sorry your wife left. This is a very hard process but why would you still want to go on with the process? Are you hoping she will change her mind and reconcile with you and be patient??

I love my wife with all of my heart, she has abandoned me and this marriage because she was tired of the distance and the waiting but even in her absence from my life I have been faithful to her only, and patient with her. I am trying to be in her life as a friend and I hope that when the visa approval comes through she may consider doing the interview and medical exam. She doesn't live very far from the location of these things in her country and I think perhaps if the visa is approved she may change her mind and want to try again with this marriage.

I check the online status everyday and I call once every week or two weeks. This may be what we need to rekindle the whole marriage and start fresh without long distance.

    hey guys!

We are june filers too. Our priority date is 06/05/2017 and we are at the Texas service center. So glad to find a forum for june people trying to stay busy and not constantly check

It's so hard to stay busy I feel like my mind is constantly on it regardless of where I am or what I'm doing! 61 days waiting so far and each day gets harder. Our priority date is 06/07/2017.

  9. I've been a Visa Journey member since we started all of this in May, but I've only just found this little forum it honestly keeps me sane. The wait is so long you would think that as expensive and complicated as these cases are to put together they would have faster processing times and more staff to meet increased customers.

At least none of us are completely alone in this wait, all of our days will come soon and we will be so happy when they do.

  11. Hello everyone, I wanted to be 100% certain on which documents need to be submitted with the I-130. I have read mixed things about newer versions of the I-130 needing different docs along with it vs older ones. I have the most current copy of form I-130 ready to be sent off.

I would really appreciate it if someone could either post pictures of their I-130 packet or list everything in it. Would particularly love to hear from anyone who has already passed that stage and has had I-130 step approved.

  12. Hello everyone I am new to this site, my wife and I will be filing our form I-130 to apply for a CR1 US Visa within this next week or two. I noticed on the US gov website that it states it's acceptable to have a certified marriage certificate OR a photocopy of the original marriage certificate sent in with the I-130 packet. I wanted to make sure I am reading this correctly.

If it helps we were married in the US, I am a US citizen by birth and she was born in the UK. We have a photocopy of the original marriage certificate and we are able to bring the original itself to any necessary interview(s).
