    Congratulations!!!
For some reasons, cases transferred to NSC on May 7th and 8th have been approved sooner than those transferred to NBC on May 3rd. Mine was transferred to NBC on May 3rd and I am still waiting. It is so frustrating!

@Pri31 The N-400 interview went well. The officer was nice. Except the part that I have I- 751 pending and my spouse could not go with me that day, so the officer could not approve my N-400 application. He wanted to interview both of us on I-751 case. Now still waiting for USCIS to schedule a new date for us to go in for I-751 interview. At least the N-400 interview was done. It would be interesting to find out how long it takes from now. :-)
    Good luck with your interview.

    Hi guys,
I have I-751 pending, but my spouse could not go with me when I went for naturalization interview, so my N-400 could not be approved. The IO said that he will schedule an interview for ROC and then he would be able to approve both cases. We're still for the interview date for my I-751 case which I don't think it will be any time soon. We'll see.

My patience is slowly dwindling away. 18 months now and still waiting on ROC. I also filed N-400 while waiting, which I think was a big mistake. If I didn't file N-400, my chances of being getting a response before now would have been greatly increased. I'm a Sept ROC 2016 filer and those who have filed N-400 were completely skipped in the approvals. Some have had joint ROC and N-400 interviews (which is probably going to happen to the majority of us).

I've been on this forum for quite some time now and I remember long ago reading someones signature... "This is a long process. You will not enjoy this".
That statement is so true. The best thing I can advise is to carry on with life. Dont forget about the warm sun, enjoy the company of those around you and love those who mean the most to you. Don't get caught up with waiting on USCIS to make your day brighter, go out there and find happiness each and every day.

    Hi guys,

A quick update from my N-400 interview.
    I have a pending I-751 (11/2016 filer) coming to the N-400 interview (12/2017 filer).

I am in California, and my local office is Santa Ana. My whole interview process was almost an hour long.

I went to my N-400 interview yesterday (with pending ROC). The officer called in me without asking for my husband.
When we came in to his office, he asked for my green card and ID. He then continued to ask when I came to the States and why the date don't match with my green card?
I explained that because I got my green card through marriage. He then said I was not eligible for naturalization (!?). I said no, I am eligible. I know the rules and also, when I filed online, they made me answer some questions to verify my eligibility. If I was not eligible, I could not make it here for this naturalization interview.
He paused for a bit, asked if I'm still married. I said yes. He asked for all the letters from USCIS that I've received since I started the ROC application.
I handed him my receipt and the fingerprint appointment letter. I also informed him that my husband was right outside in the waiting room, and if he might want to call my husband in and do the I-751 interview? He looked at my documents briefly and said no.
He then stormed out of the room with my green card and NOA1 from ROC. He was gone for probably 15 minutes or so, came back to grabbed a big folder on his desk (at that moment I realized it was my ROC folder - which got transferred to the local office) and left again.

A couple minutes went by, he came back.
I asked him what was going on, but he just totally ignored me. Since the beginning, his attitude had been cold and unnecessarily rude.

Anyway, at this point, he started flipping through papers in my ROC folder.
By the way he looked at it, I was pretty sure it was his first time going through it too. But he did not ask me anything about it.
He then proceeded the N-400 test. He asked me to read, write and 6 civic questions. He said I passed and then moved on to ask me questions on my N-400 application.
Everything went fine. I signed the Oath of Allegiance and confirmed that my name, address and basic info was correct.

I was so happy at this point, thinking "Aha! This is it!"

BUT NO. He then left the room again, and came back within 5 minutes. Our conversation went like this:
Officer (O): "You passed the citizenship test, but unfortunately your I-751 application is still pending, so we can not approve you till that is out of the way."
Me (M): "Ok. May I know the time frame when my other application will be processed or looked at?"
O: "I have no idea, to be honest."
M: "Ok.. I mean, I thought once I passed my citizenship test, my I-751 application will also be approved?"
O: "No, sorry it doesn't work that way"
    ......
O: "Do you have any other questions?"
M: "No I don't. I'm just kinda disappointed since it will be another waiting game for me."
O: "I know, that's why earlier I was trying to, you know...."
M: "Yes, I totally understand. And I thank you for that."
O: "Ok, you should just wait to hear back from us."

Now another waiting game begins. It's so frustrating.

Just got in from my Infopass and the immigration officer was very nice. NYC FIELD OFFICE

So she explained to me the CRI-89 Receipt Number from the biometrics is actually what we should track as the I751 receipt number is really an internal number for officers so they understand the wording of everything. she explained to me however thats why all the received at local office for the I751 number has been showing up. She explained to me that at the internal level the "local office" that the case has been received at is actually Vermont in my case and California service centre for others being that its for form Removal of Conditions. She explained that the files have been in storage for a whole year but until the immigration officer needs the files they will request it Or a bulk and when a worker sends it to them it will come up as Received by Local office so its no longer in a vault but actually in the office to be processed. When they start to work on it that update might come again and do remember they are in bulks so updates might not show up same time. She told me when the form gets transferred you will get a "Transferred to new office and that office has jurisdiction for your case" followed by the notice in the mail. She told me for internal matters the local office for each form is where u filed it based on your address. However the Local Field Office for a person is based on zip code. so local office goes by form and where they are filed and Local Field office is by your zip code. there was so much more I learnt from her however I don't want to bore you too much so I explained as much as I could. I went there for the extension stamp and was given a 60 day validity stamp as she said the system showing that I had a DOB and Name update a few days ago and yesterday my case was approved. also I was told most updates tend to show up  2 to 3 days after its entered into the system. So Im now waiting on my approval letter in the mail which she assume I will have by Monday. she wanted to print the approval for me which I didn't know was possible however it wouldn't allow her as the approved hasn't updated on the case status site yet but she could see I was approved.

Mine went up one more month as well. Now it is showing 16 month (May 2019), but the filing date was switched back to January 10th, 2018 instead of October 1st, 2018. I  don't know what tell you, I know it is so frustrating, but there's not much we can do, we just have to be patient and keep waiting. However, as we all know, the estimated times are inaccurate, who knows, your interview date might be scheduled in the next day or two. :-) Right?

While it's exciting to see the first interview scheduled for this group, I just want to temper that enthusiasm a little bit by noting that Admd applied just over 6 years after immigrating - well beyond the 3 or 5 year minimum period before applying for citizenship. For people in that situation, doing an early walk-in for biometrics likely does speed up the process a bit.

However, those of us (myself included) who took advantage of the 90-day early filing period will likely be waiting longer for our interviews, regardless of when we filed and whether we do an early walk-in, because we haven't yet fully completed the 3 or 5 year residency requirement. I have read elsewhere in these forums that they won't schedule an interview for a date before your 3 or 5 year anniversary date, so for early filers I would expect that we'll start seeing interview letters in March for interviews in April or later (after our anniversaries have passed).
