Hallelujah and thank you Jesus! My husband just had his interview at the embassy in San Salvador, El Salvador and was approved!! I thought he'd be there much longer but his interview was at 8:30 and he called me at 8:50!!! He said he was interviewed by a lady and she was very nice but asked a lot of questions (not sure of the questions yet but when he gets home he will tell me) and she said everything was approved!!!

I cried tears of joy! I'm so over the moon! I can't believe that after so long this is over. I'm beyond grateful and feel so blessed. All of our prayers paid off and God heard us. God bless each and every one of you that helped along the way and for all your prayers and well wishes! Good luck to all of you awaiting your interviews!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!! All the best to you guys!!!

Thanks so much!! How long did it take for you to get the interview?

We got the interview date 11 days after cc. It seems the DR embassy works quick. My husband did the medical and bio-metrics last week. So all that is left is the interview. Just a heads up if you don't have the vaccine card the medical is $395.00 plus or minus a few dollars. Its walk in from 6am - 10:30am. He went to Servicios Medicos Consulares. Good Luck to you!! This is almost over for all of us.

  3. Just got our interview. September 25 @ 9am!! Good luck to everyone who hasn't got their case complete or interview yet!!!!:jest::jest:

@JBMG we were right on the dot with the dates. I think you should do this professionally!! Thank you the amazing help you have been to everyone and for all the remarkable information.

Well usually people front load their I 130 petition, I chose to do that. At NVC people side load, which I also will do.

On my I-130 i only sent basic documents like birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce documents and so forth. I sent no pictures or anything like that. To NVC I only sent what they asked for. Our I-130 took 6 months to approve and our NVC case completed in exactly 6 weeks.

For the Dominicans getting their police certificate:

    1. Did you have to go to the procuraduria to get it in person or were you able to get it online?

    2. How long before it expires for immigration purposes?

    3. Does NVC require to translate it?

You can pay for it online and print it. Also no need to translate. I think its valid for 6 months not 100% sure.

    Question for everyone:

Our status changed to "At NVC" on Monday and the AOS information disappeared from the other webpage. My husband called the NVC and confirmed that we did receive a case complete that day. This morning we received a Checklist saying that they would still schedule the interview and to bring two documents. One is a W-2 that our lawyer forgot to include which covers about a week of work as I started a new job in the middle of December 2016. The other is a certificate of good behaviour from the Netherlands from when my husband live there. It seems weird that it happened two days after being told our case is complete. We were so confused. Did this happen to anyone else?

    Thanks, all!

The same thing happened to us!! We got case complete on 8/3 and received a checklist on 8/4  to bring to the interview. 2016 W2's from joint sponsor 2016 Tax Returns and a corrected I-864 from joint sponsor. I have gone through the I-864 and still can't find the error.

Hi, the same happened to us. We got case complete on the 28th. And then on the 31st they sent us an email asking for a recent or updated W2 2016 and proof of citizenship of my sponsor "my father in law" to be brought to the interview.

Same here we got cc but  received a checklist for 2016 W2's for joint sponsor and seems that we have an error on the I864 that they don't tell us were it was so we have to bring a new signed one at the interview.
