  1. at last! I will be having my AOS interview tomorrow, October 3rd. I'm so excited to get this done so if I pass the interview, I can now look for a job... I've been here since March and I just stayed home the entire waiting time... Wish me luck, guys!

I will post my interview experience tomorrow when I get home from my interview...

Thanks! I have learned a lot! This website is really cool! People here are very helpful.

    Godbless!

  2. I-94 arrival/departure document will be given to all people entering the USA... either a visitor/immigrant... even your fiance is from Canada.

Before the airplane landing, all passengers will be given a small sheet of paper to fill out, and that's the I-94. She will then be interviewed by the Immigration Officer and will stamp his/her passport and I-94 will be attached to his/her passport.

  3. Hello there! My K-1 visa expired June 26th, and did not apply for AOS before the expiration for some problems. I was able to send my application forms a month after the expiration, and I will be having my interview on October 3rd(tuesday next week) in Los Angeles District Office.

I believe it's okay to submit AOS application after the expiration of I-94 as long as you get married within the 90-day period. You will be okay. I will send a message on the 3rd of October about my interview experience... so we will absolutely know if it's okay or not. :D

You may apply but do it as soon as possible, so you can now have benefits... like applying for jobs and go to other countries for vacations. :D

    I'm so silly.

  4. Hi! I am from North Hollywood, California, and I went to Sherman Way and completed my I-693A. There you can see a Vietnamese civil surgeon. I paid a total of $170 for TD vaccine(anti-tetanus shot because it's not available in the Philippines- and it is required) and blood test for HIV and syhpillis tests.

I gave him the vaccination worksheet from St. Lukes Clinic and Xray film, and he transferred information to the I-693A form. It took 3 business days to complete the tests(HIV and syphillis).

Where in SoCal do you live?

  5. thanks for the ideas/opinions. I'm just a bit worried, because I read a forum where they got married within the 90 day period, but did not apply for I-485 right after the wedding, because the wife got pregnant. People told them as long as they got married within the period,,, you can apply for AOS any time.

They applied for AOS during the 26th month of the wife's arrival in the USA. They had their AOS interview, and the officer told them it'll be necessary to file I-130 and the wife has to return to her country and wait for an interview there(US embassy).

I just don't understand everything!

Expiration of my I-94 was June 26th, but we had to gather all documents needed because we moved from one state to another and did not bring everything with us... we decided to keep all appliances/things at my in-law's place. We had to wait for marriage certificate, and had to call my husband's parents to send documents needed. It took time for them to send everything, because of my husband's junk! We submitted everything in July, and was received by USCIS July 24th. Do you think everything will be okay? awww... I'm just worried, but if i have to leave the country and wait... my husband and I will do it... It's just too hard to understand US law... :crying:

  6. If the expiration date of your I-94 is JUNE 9,,, and you got married that date... YOU WILL BE OKAY!!!

because YOU SHOULD GET MARRIED ON OR BEFORE that date(june 9).

I'm telling you the truth. :-D If you want,,, you may go to a USCIS local office for infopass... they will give you information. It's free! Ask if you did the right thing! I'm sure they'll say YOU'RE DOING JUST FINE. :-)

    give it a try!

  7. hi there! i just read your post and hurridly, i went to the kitchen and check the calendar... YOU WILL BE OKAY!!! :-) June 9th is your 90th day in the USA.

If you check your I-94 and passport, you will see the expiration of your visa... So, if you entered USA March 11th, the last day of your K-1 visa is June 9th.

Having a K-1 visa means you agreed to marry your fiance(petitioner) ON OR BEFORE the 90 day period given by the USA immigration. :-)

As long as you applied for an advanced parole because you left the USA due to emergency... YOU WILL BE OKAY :-)

  8. I did not submit the I-693 form because my husband and I didn't have the time to go to a civil surgeon, because of problems... :-D I had to help my husband look for a job first(for I know this is very important because he got fired from work). We had to get our marriage license and got married. Since we couldn't get a job for my husband for a month, we decided to move from Arizona to California(took us a long time), because we had to clean the house for a week... too much junk.

We got here in California and helped my husband get a job. Fortunately, we were able to get a nice job for him, and decided to complete all forms, excluding the I-693. After a few days, we received a notice from USCIS --- biometrics appointment and initial interview appointment. I'm done with my biometrics, and since then, we did not receive any RFE letters.

I hope everything will be okay. My doctor is Vietnamese and we are having communication problems... because he would want to perform another PE and want another Xray. I did not allow him because it's not necessary(according to USCIS' website). Well, my husband and I will talk to him about it... because he did not copy all information on my vaccination worksheet when I had my medical exam in the Philppines.

    B) Thank you, Geoff and Margareth B)

  9. I came here as a K1 fiancee visa holder.

My medical examination was March 2nd of this year, and I got here(USA) March 28th.

I have submitted all forms- I-485, I-765, and G-325A already with necessary documentations, excluding the I-693 July 31st.

I went to a civil surgeon last week and had the TD and blood test... and I asked if DOSE #2 for MMR and VARICELLA are necessary... and he didn't say anything at all.

I just don't want any problem on my interview, and I'm really curious about this. I did not follow what the nurse has told me while I was still in the Philippines... to get the DOSE 2 of MMR and VARICELLA after 4 to 8 weeks.

Next week, I will be visiting my doctor again to get the I-693 form so I can bring it with me on my interview(AOS) date next month. Please help, so if i will be needing the DOSE #1, since I did not follow instructions, then I can have it done again. :-D

    Thanks!

  10. :help::help::help:

Hi! I'm new here, and i have a few questions regarding my case.

I will be having my AOS interview next month.

1.) I made some mistakes when I signed all the paperworks... I saw 2 mistakes on my G325A... is there any way I can correct them before my interview? will it affect the decision of the immigration officer?

    Mistakes- Father's Birthdate should've been Feb 2, 1958 and I saw Feb. 8, 1945

    - Month and Year I lived in Arizona should've been 04-2006 to 06-2006, and I saw 03-2003 to 06-2006

2.) I went to a civil surgeon here in California, and he wanted me to take another Xray, and I explained it's not necessary, and showed him the page from USCIS' website. He only performed 2 steps... 1.) Blood test for HIV and Syphillis; 2.) Vaccination-TD.

I have a question, I had my medical examination in the Philippines(st.lukes hospital) and I told them I don't have any information about my vaccination history... so the nurse decided to give 2 vaccinations: MMR(1st shot), and VARICELLA(1st shot). She told me to complete the DOSE #2 when I get here. (DOSE 2 SHOULD BE 4 TO 8 WEEKS FROM DOSE #1).

What do I need to do? because I did not follow having the DOSE #2 because my husband and I were too busy with everything and we forgot to have it done! Do I need to get DOSE #1 again??? Is this really necessary???

Thank you. I hope you won't get tired of my long story... hehehe *blushes*
