Kapag me epidural, wala kang mararamdamang sakit. Ang maramdaman mo lang ay manhid ang katawan mo mula baywang pababa. Hindi mo mararamdaman na nagcocontract ka na, kasi masakit ang contraction, sasakit tapos mawawala, paulit-ulit. Kelangan magpa lagay ka na ng epidural bago mag 6cm ang cervix mo, kasi kung hindi, hindi na pwede. Malaking tulong sa akin ang epidural kasi hindi ko kaya ung contraction. :-D Yung mga hindi nagpapaepidural super tapang, hindi ko kaya talaga!

Usually, pag 18 weeks pataas malalaman na ang gender ng baby through ultrasound. Basta nakikipag cooperate ang baby nyo, madaling makita. Ako noon, 2 beses nag ultrasound kasi hindi nakaayos ung baby para makita yung genital nya, so bumalik kami after mga ilang weeks at na confirm. :-D

Andrew and Evelyn, I use Similac Ready-to-feed formula. Pinaiinom ko cya ng Similac Advanced Early Shield. Merong 32 fluid oz. Hindi na ako nagtitimpla, lagay lang ng lagay sa bote, tapos kuha lang ng kaunting mainit na tubig sa mug at ibabad yung bote ng ilang minuto hanggang hindi na malamig.

Ang ginagawa ko, bumili ako ng coupons sa ebay.com for $2 each bottle ng mga 20 pieces na coupons for $1-$2 tapos bibili ako ng gatas mas tipid. Nasanay kasi ang baby ko sa ready-to-feed formula kaya wala akong choice kundi bilhin yun.

Kung pwede kayo pumasa sa WIC, mas maganda, kasi libre gatas ng baby. In case na kayong 2 ng husband mo tapos isama nyo yung baby, kung income is below $33,000 gross income sa isang taon, okay yun para sa health nyo ng baby nyo.

Kung pregnant ka, pwede ka mag apply ng WIC tapos me libre kang mga gatas, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, etc. Tapos pag nanganak ka na, libre naman gatas ng baby mo hanggang 1 yr old. Kapag ganun pa rin ang income nyo after nun, pwede pa rin ung baby nyo hanggang mag 5 yrs old cya. Makakakuha ng mga pagkain ang baby mo para maging healthy. Hindi cya tulad ng Food Stamps. Mas okay yung Wic kasi supplement lang naman ang bibigay nila di tulad ng Foodstamps as in kahit anong pagkain pwede nyo bilhin kasi bibigyan kayo ng parang debit card para gamitin. Ang WIC merong specific na mga pagkain ang pwede nyo makuha. :-)

breastfeed? yun ang initial plan namin ng husband ko kasi mas matipid at mas nutritious. After ko manganak, ilang days pa bago lumabas ung gatas, kaya pinainom muna namin ng gatas galing ospital (Similac). Nagtry kasi ako magbreastfeed pero hindi matapos tapos ang iyak ng baby kaya naisip ko baka walang gatas na nainom sakin kaya humingi ako ng ready-to-feed. Nung andun pa kami sa ospital, humiram ako ng automatic breastfeeding machine (medela) para lumabas ung gatas. Ayun, ilang oras ako ang pump, kaunti lang lumabas. Nakauwi kami, try pa rin ako nang try, wala lumalabas, so nagpunta kami sa isang lactation staff, tinuro sakin na kelangan inom nang inom ng maraming tubig, pump palagi at least every 3 hours, kelangan lagi ipadede ang baby kahit wala masyado mainom, tulog, etc. Wala pa rin nangyari sakin, ganun pa rin, walang pagbabago kaya nagdecide kami na painom nalang namin ng ready-to-feed na gatas. No choice kaya lang kelangan ng milk ng baby kaya ok na rin. Hanggang ngayon, naka ready-to-feed pa rin na formula ang baby ko pero kung sakali na magbottle feed kayo, sanayin sa powder formula kasi mas mura. Yung baby ko kasi nasanay sa ready-to-feed kaya nung sinubukan ko na mag powder formula cya, nagka constipation cya kaya sabi ng doktor ibalik sa dating formula. Sa ngayon, mini-mix ko yung powder sa ready-to-feed para hindi masyadong mahal.

I, myself, first time mom. Nakapag-alaga na ako ng maraming pamangkin sa Pilipinas. So, sabi ko sa sarili ko nung nabuntis ako na super madali lang mag alaga dahil na experience ko na. LOL nagkamali ako! After ko manganak, super hirap talaga! Dahil iyak nang iyak ang baby, hindi malaman kung anong gagawin. Sabi nga ng mga kamag-anak ko, talagang mahirap kung sarili mong anak sa umpisa. Hindi naman nagtagal ang hirap sa pag-aalaga. Siguro mga 3 weeks lang ako nahirapan pagkatapos nun, nasanay nako dahil lagi kaming magkasama, nalaman ko na kung anong gusto at ayaw nya.

Para maiwasan ang kabag sa tyan ng baby, bumili kayo ng baby bottle na nakakapag prevent ng colic. I tried different brands of baby bottles, pero sa isang brand lang talaga nahiyang ang baby ko. Buy DR BROWN bottles kasi meron cyang tube sa loob para ma prevent ang bubbles. Kapag umiinom ng gatas si baby, ung milk lang talaga na swallow nya kaya hindi cya nagkakabag. :-) Masaya ako yun ang ginagamit ko sa kanya.

Alam ko na magandang bumili lahat ng bagong damit sa baby pero sa akin lang, kung gusto nyo makatipid, pwede din naman second hand. Hindi naman mukhang luma ang mabibili nyo na second hand at hindi naman masusuot lahat yun, promise! Super dami naming bagong damit na binili plus yung mga second hand, hindi naman nasuot lahat at napaglakihan lang. Ang pinakamagandang bilhin ang Onesies, madali lang palitan ng diapers si baby kesa bumili ng dress at pants.

Sa diapering naman, kahit anong brand ayos lang. I use Walgreens brand diapers, mas mura kesa sa branded diapers pero okay naman gamitin. Pero, bumibili din ako ng Huggies diapers kapag aalis kami, yun ang gagamitin para mas sure na hindi mag leak. Kapag nasa bahay lang kayo, oks na gumamit ng store brand diapers kasi papalit palit naman. Malaking tipid din.

Another thing. Pumunta kayo sa mga websites para sa baby para makareceive kayo ng mga coupons. As in makakatulong un paglabas ng baby nyo. Lagay ko ung mga website na pinuntahan ko, basta mag sign up kayo tapos makareceive na kayo ng kung anu ano. :-D I am a frugal mom kaya alam ko kung san makakatipid.

Kung makakapag stock up kayo ng diaper, gawin nyo na. Ganyan ang ginawa ko kaya wala akong kaproble problema sa diaper. Nag stock na rin ako ng mga johnson baby items para paglabas ni baby, hindi na laging gastos nang gastos.

Heads up: Usually, ang presyo ng Huggies diapers sa mga tindahan ay mga $10 jumbo pack. Ngayong week nato, sale ang Huggies diapers sa Target ($8.99) jumbo pack. And if you buy 3 packs, makakareceive kayo ng FREE $5 gift card para kung babalik kayo sa Target pwede nyo gamitin. So, $8.99 * 3 = $26.97 +TAX then receive $5 gift card, so parang $22 lang 3 packs na ng huggies. Good buy na yun.

Kung gusto nyo bumili ng murang damit for babies, punta kayo sa consignment stores for kids/babies. Meron akong laging pinupuntahan, ang pangalan ng store CHILDRENS ORCHARD. I check nyo ung website nila, baka meron clang store malapit sa bahay nyo. www.childrensorchard.com . Usually, mga second hand items mabibili tulad ng damit, sapatos, medyas, strollers, crib, play gym, etc. Mas makakamura kasi hindi masyado magagamit.

Or pwede din bumili kayo ng mga damit sa CRAIGSLIST. Go to www.craigslist.com tapos punta kayo sa State kung san kayo nakatira and city. Maraming tao ang nagpopost dun para bilhin mga baby stuff na hindi na nila kailangan. Bargain na ung price nila.

Or pwede din namang bumili sa EBAY. Go to ebay.com tapos i search nyo nalang baby girl/boy clothing. I sell baby clothing sa ebay, mura lang starting bid kesa bumili sa Mall o sa mga stores. Marami nagbebenta ng huge lot at super mura.

About 5 yrs ago, my husband was living in AZ. I used to send gifts to him through mail. I just went to the Post Office and sent them that way. It took about 3-4 weeks for him to receive them. A small box with weight of 6 lbs was like around $1,000+. I would suggest you wait until it's time for you to travel here because it would be very costly if you do it the post office way.

Always remember petitions are not instantaneous. They have other applications to take care of. All you need to do is wait. You will receive something in a few months from now.

I am very upset with your situation. I'm so sad for what had happened to you.

I just don't understand why you signed a statement to cancel k3 and k4 application. It would mean to them that you agreed with everything they told you, that you just married for paperworks. I think if you really love your husband and wanted to be with him for the rest of your life, you should have not given up. You should have fought for your love and by telling them that you have the every right to be with you husband and they have no right to ban you for telling them the truth! I think they were just playing some psychological games here.

I honestly have no idea what you could do now since petitions were already cancelled. Maybe contact Michael Gurfinkel. He might be able to help you in this situation.

About epidural, hindi ko na natiis ung sakit hahaha kaya kinailangan ko!!! Super sakit pala nun. Dati, hindi ko alam kung ano ibig sabihin nila pag sinabing "contractions". Tanong ako nang tanong kung kani-kanino pero hindi ko ma imagine hanggang sa naranasan ko na. :-D mahirap pala talaga ispelengin un!

Kapag me epidural, napaka convenient. Wala kang mararamdaman, makikita mo lang sa monitor na nag contract ka. Ang nakakaasar lang ay yung manhid na manhid ung buong baba mo, hindi mo talaga maitaas! hehehe

I was induced because my daughter was 2 weeks late already. Tapos kung anu-anong gamot pinaglalagay sakin para lang bumaba ung baby kaso ayaw talaga! After 12 hours, ayaw pa rin, 2 cm lang ako, walang pagbabago. Sabi ng OB ko maubos na daw ung amniotic fluid ko at delikado na sa baby kaya kelangan na ng CS. Takot na takot ako kaso wala akong magawa dahil kelangan na talaga. Gusto ko talaga ang normal delivery. Naplano na namin un ng OB ko pero hindi pa rin nasunod kaya super frustrating.

Ang hirap kasi sa CS pagtapos hindi ka makatayo. Minsan mo lang mahawakan baby mo kasi natatakot ka baka bumuka ung hiwa sa tyan.

She was born cesarian, though. I was induced because she was 2 weeks late, and still didn't want to come out after long hours of wait. My ob decided to perform cs operation.

I sent my I-751 application in August of 2008. I received my biomertrics letter December 31, 2008 and had my appointment January 2, 2009. Everything went well.

I was expecting the approval letter but what I received today was another ASC Biometrics Appointment Letter! I'd have to be at the local office on April 6th.

It's annoying because the local office is like 4 hours away from home. What should I do? Anybody experienced the same situation?
