I've been to Turkey (on a trip from Greece), Kuwait, UAE, KSA.

I liked Kuwait.. though, at night in Kuwait City I saw as many in drag as I would see in SF on a daily basis. Sometimes one can't tell this is an Islamic country. In contrast to KSA and Turkey.. which are less secular and have substantial amount of homophobia and sexism, to put it nicely. To Turkey's credit they are more advanced socially than countries like KSA, but that isn't saying much. People still regularly get killed there for the terrible crime of being gay.

Regarding globalization, to be honest that is of little relevance. The USA has long been a country that is made up of people from various cultural backgrounds. People bringing their culture is/has never been the problem. Their lack of integration and assimilation to basic cultural rights and values where they move to, on the other hand, is a place where no bargain needs to be struck. The advice, necessarily, is, adapt.. respect laws and customs (as every country logically requires), or move back. Not "I'll move to ____ region and expect them to cater to me because I'm foreign and special".

Due to the increasing amounts of terrorism being done by Islamic extremists, fostered in virtually every country run by the Muslim religion, rightfully we should be scrutinizing people of the Muslim religion, who want to come to western countries, more aggressively, and tolerate far less.

They can try and make it mean Islam is a race all they like. It doesn't make it so.

Regarding Turkey, did they not just recently ban gay pride parades? Did they not just attack protesters protesting this ban? Doesn't sound like Turkey is that great to me for gays.

Can't imagine the headlines in the US and Canada if that happened here.

We're talking completely different worlds, the western world vs. the Islamic one. And that's fine if they want to live in the 17th century, just don't bring that stuff here. We don't want it.

Key about living in these western countries is the choice of leaving someone (without being justifiably murdered), and even foundations of support to battered spouses. Something the Islamic world doesn't even fathom. When it comes to womens rights they're back in the 1800s, when it comes to gay rights, go back even further. That's why it's funny to me that leftists placate to and baby a religion fully knowing what liberalism had to accomplish just to attain these rights in the western world.

Three Moroccan citizens were arrested in that awful terrorist attack in Spain this week. Then an 18 year old Moroccan was arrested in Finland for committing a terrorist attack. Such hatred.

I did a little research on Morocco. You can be arrested for preaching any religion other than Islam. So a Christian or Jew preaching there can be arrested. Very bigoted and hateful.

Moroccoan treatement of gays is abysmal.

I think anyone immigrating from Morocco to the USA is leaving a much more bigoted and hate filled country and entering a more enlighten and open society (albeit imperfect like all nations).

The amusing thing is that often these comments come from Countries that are significantly worse.

Yeah, even though Jews are still targeted more than blacks and Muslims, as someone that's also been to dozens of other places I definitely agree the US is nowhere near as bad as most of them.

Could you possibly move somewhere else? Racism is everywhere.

Xenophobia, is that why so many people want to move to the US?

Don't let leftist scaremongering alter how you perceive reality. Respect US laws and customs, and you'll notice that for the overwhelming majority of people they have fantastic lives.

Those who don't want to follow the law and live on society's fringes, regardless of race or ideology (think the act of terrorism by the white supremacist in the car plowing over people yesterday), will always find trouble follows them.

I've experienced racism against myself for being white (by Hispanics and Blacks alike, but also recently from my Asian in-laws from Laos, China, Thailand, etc. as some had this impression that because I was white I was a cultureless mook who would gladly be subservient to their cultural values from the other side of the planet, must not be that great of a cultural environment if people are fleeing it like that), and against my own half-black sister in her younger days when she had much darker skin. I never allowed it to cloud my judgement about them. I still started two businesses with two black individuals, one of whom was a police officer for EPA, another a senior city planner for Benecia. You'll notice similarities in that they wanted nothing to do with criminals like BLM, Antifa, etc., just like, being German myself, I wanted nothing to do with skinheads/Neo-Nazis (laughable concept really), or white supremacy.

Politically, I want to point out stupidity tends to switch based on who is in power. Those on the right were the crazies last decade, this decade its the left. I encourage more independent thought to identify this, although be prepared, because there's a lot of political hostility that's impossible to avoid.
