I think you and your unborn child's well being comes first. If I was in your position I would try to make some inquiries and see if the date can be sooner. Call the Application Support Center for your area and ask questions about it, nothing wrong with finding out. I wouldn't postpone it because you never know what complications can arise during delivery or how long your recovery time will be for you to be well enough to go to the interview. That's just my opinion. Good luck!

thank you so much.. that makes sense.. better to inquire. who knows they might make it sooner.. thanks

There has been a lot of horror stories about people who rescheduled their interviews. The USCIS is a big unwieldy bureaucracy that does not like changes. More often than not the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing and vice versa.  So the consensus I have seen is that do not reschedule unless it is absolutely necessary .

That being said the your health and that of your unborn child should come first.

Thanks a lot.. I'm praying hard.. so my baby will come after my interview... I will try my best to rest, relax.... until the interview day... it's one hr drive... hope the interview will be short...  May God be in control. 🤞🤞

I think an RFIE restarts the processing time, so you might still be within normal processing times, depending on when they received your RFIE response.

To contact a senator or congressman, Google and find out who your elected officials are. Their websites usually explain what's the best way to contact them; some want you to call, some prefer email, others want you to fill out a form first. Explain your situation and if they decide to help, they will inquire with USCIS and USCIS is obliged to respond. And that draws their attention to your case, so it might help to speed up the process.

You could also apply for jobs, and when you have a job offer, request an expedite for your EAD. However, my expedite process still took 6 weeks, so you need a very patient employer...

Good luck! I hope you hear something soon!

Thanks will do that... they received my RFIE on Sept 7th...  it's beyond processing time...

hey miki0630 I don't know what  you did maybe you already contact some people ,if not maybe this would help for you I hope ; first I did 2 service request and didn't get my answers after I reach out my congressman they have people work for follow up immigration cases and they called and e mailed USCIS because case is outside of processing time they did inquiry behalf of me and also we called USCIS the following week 2 times to find out whats going first call IO told us what was the answer of the our 2 SR  and second IO which we called him today and he told us my EAD was approved on december 22nd. So I will keep calling them regular basis to get my tracking number for my EAD card also my status in the USCIS website still same, it says received so they didn't update it. You could contact your congressman/ senator  and also call USCIS regular basis follow up the case maybe make a info pass appointment if you doing it already expect something soon. I believe my congressman helped a lot. I  Pray for you to get some answer soon if you want to ask me something I'm here. You can PM me anytime..

Ok thanks a lot... God bless you

you can google it search the area where you live and look it up help with immigration / help with a federal agency there should be privacy release form you must fill the form and fax or email them back so they can follow your case as well or once you find your congressman office give them call that your case outside of processing time and you want them look into it as well they will tell you what to do step by step.

    Ok thanks

Same here my PD is June 6 (MSC) and I got a RFIE for my birth certificate and then received my response on August 14 since than my case has a huge silence.I did SR twice first one I never got the response and second one I just received a letter says I should hear something soon. I called my congressman and their office did some research and Im expecting some response from them and also I called the USCIS and IO was very nice he said " yes it is outside of processing time but they are working on my case and there is no date or anything for a response he doesn't know when I should be getting my work permit". So congressman office follows my case and I'm calling USCIS and making SR by myself still nothing I don't know what to do. Hang in there..

So frustrating how do i contact congressmen?

Did you guys get any RFIE because I received one of them for my birth cert translation so I assume that was the  delay reason. They received my response for RFIE on August 14th. It will be 4 months after they received RFIE still nothing so far.

I had RFIE AND it was received Sep 7th made 2 service request both says asigned to an officer and it was completed. Received nothing...i made 3rd request by phone... and waiting... so frustrating

I guess i am extremely unlucky. I raised SR twice, and then request expedited request, and then set an appointment to the office and talk to the officer, but it has been more than 130 days. i still didn't see any update :(

Ohhhh sorry really.. its hard to tell why they take sooo long... its frustrating.... i also did twice and they replied finally.. but still in review.. i don't understand 😭😭

Our filing for EAD was June 9. Called USCIS twice and then filed a request on-line. After filing on-line we got a response within 2-3 days. EAD was approved and mailed out on October 25. It should be any time now for you guys!

You are lucky.. ive waited so long.... got the letter on the 14th it has been 8days now.. im praying this week I will be approved..🤞🤞
