Hi,

I just checked my USCIS Account and found out that there is an update   that my Interview was scheduled. How long will it take for me to receive the notice by mail and what are the documents to prepare for the interview so i can double check my lists too. I am from Dallas, Texas area. Will I need to have a new medical to submit prior or during the interview? When i filed my AOS my Medical still valid. So Im confused if i need to get a new one prior to my interview. 

Hope to get some info that will help me in preparation for the interview. Thanks in Advance!

I am preparing today my Renewal documents for EAD/AP Combo card. Expiration of my card is on Nov 27,2018. Question is do I need to fill out I-131  (Advance Parole form) too or just the I-765 form only? Shall I send it also to Chicago Lockbox? or here in Dallas? Also, In question Item 25 " Your current immigration status or category" Shall I answer K-1 Visa Holder still? Hope to hear answer from anyone so I can finish the form this week and send it. Thank you!

I have the same status today.. Yesterday I was still able to view the last status I received in Oct 18 which is "My case is ready to schedule for an interview". Well I hope good news will be the next after they update the site.😀.. Let's cross our fingers!!

Does anyone here have an idea if we already received the EAD/AP combo card then the adjustment of status application says"your case is ready to schedule for an interview" then husband and I need  to transfer in a new place/state will it affect my application?  Yes we can file the change of address Asap, but wil it  affect the application status? Im trying to call USCIS but its hard to connect to them so we can ask some questions...

Just to update I received my EAD/ AP approval notice and combo card in the mail today December 5, with approval notice date of November 28. I am really happy, coz I can now apply for my SSN this week..Hope you can receive yours very soon...

Anyone from August 2017 filers from Dallas who already receive their EAD/AP combo card? With pending AOS application to adjust status. Or any latest update from USCIS re your applications? My PD is Aug 9. Done with my biometrics on Sep 13. Then last Oct 18 my status for my AOS was updated to " Your case is ready to set for interview". I am just curious how long can we receive update for the EAD/ AP approval. Last night I sent a case inquiry for both thru their website.

Hi August filers,

I was able to check my USCIS account and an update was released re my AOS application. Says"Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" and i will soon receive a notice thru mail. I am curious how does the interview will look like? What I/we need to prepare? We still dont have a joint account coz I dont have my SSN yet. As well as credit card as his extension. Hope you can help me for some infos. Thank you.

15-Aug-2017- Received notice thru Text/ Email for 3 forms

15-Aug-2017- Check encashed

21- Aug- 2017- Received NOA 1 thru mail

Waiting now for the mail with Biometrics appointment schedule...

What's next after we receive the Receipt Notice in the mail? How long will it takes for the EAD/AP to get approved?

June 28, 2017       = Arrival in the US

July  14, 2017       = Got married

Adjustment of Status | EAD/AP filing

August 7, 2017   = Sent out to Chicago LockBox thru FEDEX

August 9, 2017   = Arrived at Chicago LockBox

August 16, 2017 = Received Email  Receipt Notice from USCIS  

Hi, just an update in our case. Had my interview on May 22 then I got the 221G form requesting to submit NBI with aka name of my Ex- husband surname. Applied the NBI clearance the next day and received by June 5. Sent the document to USEM on the same day and they received as per 2GO tracking on June 6. I called the embassy on June 8 to check any updates from their side. On the evening of June 8, was able to check the status but still in "AP" but the date says it was updated on June 8. Yesterday, the status changed to "Application received (June 13), Then this morning June 14 it was changed to "Administrative Processing" again.. Was curious, what will be the next. Anyone who has/ had the same situation? How many days more til they will issue the visa? Hope for replies... Thank you!

I have some questions, hope to hear answers from VJ users.

1. After the K1 Visa issuance, Petitioner wanted to transfer from Texas to California, is it possible that instead POE is Texas it will be in California?

2. Where should the wedding takes place? In Texas or Cali?

3. Do we need to change address immediately if we transfer to Cali?

3. Once married, let's say in Cali, can we file the AOS/EAD/AP in Cali?

4. Or better to have the wedding in Texas, file the AOS/EAD/AP in Texas? or can have the wedding in Texas but file the AOS/EAD/AP in  Cali?

We are asking because we wanted to move in Cali asap.

Hi.. When I woke up few minutes ago, I tried to track my VISA Status to NVC...

Says: In Transit

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

Questions:

1. Does it mean that it's on its way to USEM?

2. Why they provided me an interview date? I thought I need to call them to apply for an interview schedule? I'm confused.

3. How long does it take to receive here in USEM?

Hi again. We just got our case number today. But how can we get the date that the NVC received our approved application from USCIS? Unlike the others here I saw they have the date added to their timeline. I saw too from CEAC VISA tracker that it is still at NVC.. How many days are we gonna wait til they update and send our packet to USEM? Just preparing for the schedules that we need to set

Newbie here.. I'd like to ask how long does NVC issue a case number? Our NOA2 is dated March 9. We are running 3 weeks now and everytime we called they said it will take 6 weeks to get our approved application to NVC. I've read some comments here re that and saw that some are lucky to get the case number between the 18th-23rd days after they were approved. Are they sending notices thru regular mail or just in email? Hope to hear from you guys.. Thanks- Edric& Setchie
