if i would like to bring my mother in law to america i know i have to write her a letter but what happens if she is going to pay for the plane but i will pay for everything else? plus can someone give me an example of what i need to write. i know i have to write what we will do but is there anything else. Do i need to include a copy of my birth certificate as well?

i haven't been on for a while but we had an RFE on the 11th of june because i filed as being unemployed for the AOS papers. we have returned them with more then enough time but it hasn't been touched since the 26 of june. still pulling hair bc he wants to go to morocco for Ramadan inchallah we will get our wishes. congrats to everyone and good luck to the rest of you.

I've read about a lockbox, then I heard to send it to where my I-129F was processes which was CSC, I'm kinda confused about that, If anyone can shed a light on that I would greatly appreciate it. I live in FL just in case anyone asks

you send it to chicago it ssays so on the 485 aos papers you vcan send everything together. dont send it to the csc it would take longer or they might send it back to you.

Hello everyone I just have a few quick questions about the AOS process:

1. I used a joint sponsor for the I-134 is it ok to use the same sponsor?

2. For the interview, will the sponsor and/or joint sponsor have to go? or will it be like the K-1 interview where only my husband (then fiance) had to go?

Hi all, Just wanted some advice we are planning to move to sunny Florida soon (in the next few months) or sooner and I have all the forms needed for immigration but I'm not sure If its best to leave it until we actually move to apply or just apply the now then move then contact the immigration office to change our address. I currently cannot get a bank account here in Indiana as they all want social security number or something else which I don't have, also the apartment complex we live at now won't allow my name on the lease as they couldn't check my criminal record etc. And I know that it would make the interview with the immigration officer alot easier If I did have these following things in a joint name with my wife and I probably can put my name on the lease when we find a place in Florida and I'm sure there are other banks down that way that will allow me to be on a joint bank account with the wife.

So should I wait until we move and get my name on a lease and joint bank account etc then apply or should I just apply the now then get all them things sorted out, I'm not sure how the change of address process goes.

i had this same problema couple of months ago. my husband and I were moving to a different place and we were in the process of doing our AOS. if you do move you must always notify them with the form AR-111. its just a form stating that you are moving and gives your old address and new one. if you decide to move very soon do it now if you know your address so they would get it in their systems faster. but you also need to watch out sometimes things get lost in the mail or they send it to the wrong place. i was very fortunate that didnt happen to me but that happened in the past. file the form and everything should be good:D

I hear ya, we have filed on the 14th of february and haven't gotten so much of a touch on the EAD 1 touch on AOS back on 4-2. we are in the same boat.

So today I am watching foodnetwork and I come across Tylers ultimate he is making brick chicken with "moroccan flat bread" and will be over a wonderful bed of couscous. Well mister I have tried your "moroccan" food along with the rest of the crappy foodnetwork stuff the assume that it is. Well as I have been looking all over for a good recipe I have found 1 out of millions that you people think is moroccan because it has either a.) cumin or b.) couscous if you have either of those into your recipe apparently its moroccan. Not only have I had a severly angry moroccan says what is this, this isn't moroccan food. Also this flat bread that you make out of pizza dough and some spices it more like naan bread then anything moroccan. All I want to do is go onto the foodnetwork slap every moron such as tyler and robin miller who think couscous makes life moroccan. GGRRRR. So you ask where can you find good moroccan food that you can make at home for your habibi or something tasty I have a few.

Does anybody know how long it will take to get an interview notice? I think I'm going to end up having an interview because I came in on and F-1 visa, and before that on my dad's work visas. And do they usually show it as a touch if you are getting an interview or do you just receive something in the mail? Thanks!

some good and bad news today. zaki's birthday was yesterday so happy birthday to him. but his father hasnt been doing so good. he was in the hospital for about 4 or 5 days. he has hepatitis c and has been hurting him for the past 5 years. his liver has litterly stoped working and now it puts water on his stomach which spread to his lungs. it got bad to where he was in enough pain that he couldnt barely talk. still nothing on our ead or aos no touches or anything grrr. come on something please. just no other rfe.

No I don't really think it's fair to her. She should get worse,why you ask she killed someone. Someone loved this man (obviously not her) I think people nowadays get off way too easy with murder. Whether its first degree or premeditated or not she killed someone. Also she did it for money what a greedy BIOTCH!!! Nothing I hate worse then a greedy woman who kills a man. For crying out loud if you wanted money that bad play the lotery, you then have more of a chance getting it then as apposed to killing him then getting it. Another thing is that people think that it might be too long ask his family what she should have gotten as far as punishment. I beleive the jury shouldn't do cases anymore you might have ones that are paid off or ones who just don't understand who allow people to walk right away. I believe you ask a family what that persons life was worth and spend that in money or jail.

i just checked i got a touch on my i485 on 4-2. but nothing has been said about ead yet!! oh well patience.

today has been a great day. i woke up early and ate breakfast with my hubby, he didnt have to do anything today so we went to get copies of my resume bc i had 2 job interviews, i also went to deposit money into my bank account today. as i was coming home from the bank i got a call from the bank i applied to and i got the job i thought i didnt have it or anything. i started to cry bc i was so happy bc its a good job. i start on april 7th thank god. plus its right down town but the hours arent that good 1-10 then 3-12 but i dont care its money and its a job. another good one was the came to fix some things in my apartment. the window which has been broken since december is now fixed, the toilet which was leaking is now fixed but i didnt like that they were there when i came in my apartment they were just there i was surpised lol. but they fixed it and nothing they can steal anyways. and another thing we got news that they received our paper for the rfe today and the process is going to proceed. so right now i am on a high from a great day. inchallah everything will get better. and i also did my pee test but i know i wont have problems i dont drink never smoked or did any drug so i am smooth like peanut butter. well i hope your day has gone great have a great day and enjoy

Heidilynne -- we'll support each other! I just called USCIS and a very nice lady told me that Chicago is backed up (I didn't bring up the fact that others' have been moving ahead of ours) and that it could take 5-6 weeks. She tried to look me up in the system and I'm definitely not in there yet.

Here's hoping! I've got a check-deposit alert set up with my bank account so I know first thing if my checks get cashed. I haven't wished so hard that someone would take my money in my life!

I got my rfe today there were 2 things they said we didnt send here i will show you

***in order to process your application further,submit a copy of birth certificate for petitioner listed on i-130.the birth certificate must provide the parents name in order to properly establish the relationship between yourself and the petitioner. ***

do i need to send my birth certificate bc i know we sent his in arabic and english with his parents name on it right in the middle of the page!!!! i sent a copy with my birth certificate in the i-129f form and thought i didnt need to send it again. they said to refer to page to "what documents do you need to prove family relationship?"

i sent the marriage certificate a copy of course sent the g-325a pic of him. should i have attached a picture of me? neither of us were previously married. we sent a copy of our lease to them to make sure that they know we lived together. ugghh.

says i need to provide income tax for 2006 well its 2008 i thought all i needed was income taxes for 2007 bc they want most recent so thats all i sent. why the heck do they need 2006 1040's. what does it matter i didnt make enough money in 2006 to afford this #######!! and my parents will not support us at all. do i need to get his brother to give us his taxes for 2006 bc i only made 3,000 in 2006 bc i was still going to college.

Don't panic! its just an RFE. Not a biggie. You either forgot something, or misread the instructions, or they lost something. Just send whatever they want and you'll be fine.
