You were given a second interview in which you used your interpreter.  Therefore, you were not denied use of your interpreter.  Maybe you misunderstood something the interviewer said, after all you are pretty much claiming you needed an interpreter.  Anyway, you asked for an opinion so here it is.  Better to put it behind you.  Respond to the RFE and just move forward and forget about it.  It's not worth the hassle and you are not going to win any battle with them.  In fact, the more attention your draw to it, the more likely everything will be looked at more intensely.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of your support throughout our journey!
our PD is 10/26/2016. My wife had received her visa and boarded the plane to the US on 10/26/2017.
I actually went and “picked her up” - the POE in Dallas was a breeze and I can’t be more thankful for how things have turned out.
if you are still waiting - Don’t give up!! I know there are moments when you think it will never workout - trust me We’ve been there!! But things will workout when the time is right.
Thanks again! I hope you all will reunite with your loved ones soon.

I don't understand people who can lie to USCIS and expect to get approved for any sort of immigration visa,once you tell one lie another will surely follow 

well.. i was able to get my new case number from NVC today.  ...so seems like when u get approval..its 1 week for it to send.  one week to receive and 1 week to be entered and get case number... just posting for others who may be curious about timing😊 good luck everyone
