I may have posted something regarding this several days ago.  But saw this article tonight that was written on 5/9/17.  The timing is interesting in relation to the apparent slowdown in k1 processing.

USCIS Completes Data Entry for Petitions Selected in H-1B Lottery; Will Start Returning Unselected Petitions

    Tuesday, May 9, 2017

On May 3, 2017, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the data entry process for all H-1B cap petitions selected in the FY 2018 H-1B cap lottery had been completed. USCIS will begin returning petitions that were not selected in the lottery; however, a specific timeframe for the return of unselected petitions has not been identified. USCIS is requesting that petitioning employers refrain from inquiring into the status of cap-subject petitions until employers have received a receipt notice or the returned cap-subject petition.

In an effort to balance its workload, USCIS will transfer some H-1B cap petitions from its Vermont Service Center to its California Service Center for processing. USCIS will issue notifications via mail on cases that are being transferred.

This is the saddest news :(.

Ideally... you'd expect them to process K1s filed before this happened first, and then move on to H-1Bs. But they never seem to do anything in a sensible order

so I suspect this means everyone that's filed between December and now will see an increase in their wait time.... Bah!

So it seems that they were working (albeit slowly) last week but the website just got updated today.

Feb cases touched 5-8 May: 47

    Approved: 7
    RFE: 31
RRFER (Response to RFE Received): 6
    Other: 3

    Raw data here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7wWQs77fPiIb0RMT082QVZodE0

So they've finally started on February for real! Probably still a long way off, but at least it's creeping closer! Thanks for posting :)

Looks like the USCIS check case status is down right now, maybe they are servicing the problem?

Can you imagine if they had only 1 IT guy that takes care of the CSC and just so conviently happened to take a vacation week when this issue started?

Oh my god, this got my hopes up that they've been approving cases all week but the website has been broken! My fingers and toes are all crossed....

I counted (with a little help from Excel) 3598 cases total. 40 approved thus far. Leaving 3558 untouched.

Have cancelled / rejected cases been removed? 3558 seems a tad high...

Boo! The estimated date on my timeline is just creeping further and further away. It's gotten into June now :(

I am sure they are going through training, hence the delay and basically minimal progress. Hope they discuss on how to get back on track.

Food for thought....I am starting to think that as part of procedure, they word have to read/review every supporting evidence that we need to submit. Is it at all possible this is another reason why they are behind? Since some applicants decide to send hundreds of pages of chat logs?

There's an interview with a guy that used to work at USCIS on VJ. If memory serves he said he'd have a check list of things to look for. So I don't think they waste time reading everything we send. They might read a lot if they feel the need but part from that.. :)

found it (it's a bit hidden), very interesting read: http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a

Just finished the scan and no Feb cases were touched on 2-May. I wonder what is going on?

    Raw data here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7wWQs77fPiIZ1A1Tm1RaW5pRDA

Last time I checked there were a handful of November cases left, about 300 December cases, and something like 1500 January cases. Their rate seem to be ~2-300 cases/day. So unless I'm way off we should at least start seeing February cases touched in a week. ...hopefully :)

This isn't another rogue box is it?! Anyone know what the NOA1 date are for these? Were they expedited? :)

I'm guessing it's just more Feb 6 cases, but seeing February approvals still gets me all excited!

Did you get it from Skatteverket or did you print it at home? I'd recommend getting it directly from them, preferably with a stamp and a signature though I don't think it's a requirement. But then you're sure you won't get any hassle for having a "weird" birth certificate as Sweden doesn't have birth certificates.

Straight from Skatteverket. Not sure if it has a stamp or signature on it.. don't think it does. I'll have to check when I get home. :)

On a related note, are they going to need a Swedish version of the birth certificate and the police certificate at the London embassy or is it okay to only bring the English version?

  9. Hey Swedes!

Ive seen that I'll need a birth certificate once our K1 application gets to the embassy stage. People put a lot of emphasis on "original birth certificate" operative word being "original". I've never had a birth certificate, but I've now ordered and received one from Skatteverket. Is this considered "original"?

ill be going to the embassy in London if that matters! :)

    thanks!
