How long did it take for NVC to receive your case from uscis ☺️ we have been waiting 2 weeks we haven't called them yet 😉

34 days in total for them to acknowledge receipt and assign a case number. However since then it's only taken 7 days for it to go through processing to received at consulate and then ready at consulate.

There's some talk that certain consulates are now processing files electronically which is causing a delay at NVC to process them but once processed speeds the process up.

    Hope this helps!

When did you get your letter showing nvc number and what type of visa it is?

I got my noa2 on 5 June but I've booked a medical on the 14th of July too!!!!

they need a letter showing the category of visa and nvc number on the day so I'm hoping it'll arrive by then (otherwise I'll reschedule 3 days before)

I haven't received anything in the post yet but am hoping to get something in in the next week or so through the post. Although when you complete and pay the visa fee you do get a receipt with your details plus LND number on, maybe this is sufficient?

My medical is 3.30pm, had to give myself time to get the train down to Kings Cross

Wow that sounds awesome, thanks! Did you wait until the case arrived at London before you booked? (The embassy website says you "have to", but I'm not sure I trust it :) )

Yeah I waited until it was listed as ready. We had a bit of a nightmare waiting for NVC to assign a case number (just under 5 weeks) but went from number assigned to case ready in only 7 days.

What the availability for interviews like in London? Hopefully getting my NVC case number soon and booking mine too :)

July was nearly totally free on any tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. No Friday appointments available from what I remember and only a couple Mondays left. August for some reason was completely unavailable for some reason. Perhaps they don't allow bookings too far in the future?

I'd love to know how you get on at London so I know what to expect!

Sure thing, I'll most likely put a review up on my timeline after everything is done. Thankfully things seem more about just making sure you have all the required documents and forms in order.

The whole process to get to this point has felt pretty draining but knowing I'm only 5-6 weeks from having it all (hopefully) done feels like a massive weight off my shoulders.

    Good luck with your process!

Did you get your number yet as well?? I'm stressed out and it's only been 3 weeks for me 😑.  I'm also worried because I unexpectedly moved after sending our petition so if my embassy sends me something, I might not get it and calling the NVC will be the only way to get my case number.

I've got my WAC number from USCICS but nothing at all from NVC yet. 33 days since our NOA2!

@Dave&JoJo the same thing happened to me....Received NOA2 on May 5 and started calling NVC on the following week and since then they were saying that didnt received my case. Last week I spent 1 hour on the phone until they give me a different answer....the agent talked to the supervisor and they finally said they did received my case on May 24. It took them a really long time to AT LEAST tell me that they've received, until them they were saying that still didnt have it. I would encourage you to call them again. it is less likely that USCSI would take more than 3 weeks to send your case to NVC or even that post office would take that long.....

Thanks for the reply, I'm slowly pulling my hair out. This I assumed was supposed to be the simple prt and the lack of information available is staggering. My partner is going to call them again tomorrow. I just want to know they have it and that it's not lost somewhere
