    I don't think it should, but I know how u r feeling.

About 2 years ago, I was involved in a small accident (I rear ended someone, it was very minor because I was not going faster than 30 miles p/h). I was cited, and I appeared in court. I decided to take a plea deal, and I was charged with a petty misdemeanor (inattentive driving), and paid a fee of 135.00 dollars. Petty misdemeanor are not considered a crime, yet it was a conviction.

In my application and interview I checked that I had been cited and that had been convicted of a petty misdemeanor. I brought a certified copy of the case and how much I paid. During the interview I was asked if I had been put on provation, I said no, just the small fine. IO kept the certified copy.

I was recommended for approval during my interview, and I did not have any issues at all.

    Hope this helps...

@FerchoGnz Thank you for telling me your experience as I can see from the information I've gathered this shouldn't be an issue at all. I am glad that everything went well with your application.

It may or may not show. You just need to disclose it. No, it does not show a lack of GMC. Because yours truly (myself) had had about 6-7 speeding tickets before I was naturalized and they definitely did not care.

Hi @USS_Voyager Thank you for your prompt response it really puts my mind at ease with this whole mess. I will take the proof of payment of the ticket+ the notice of infraction to my interview. Congratulations on your approval.

  3. Greetings, I recently came across the following situation and I thought that folks who have applied before me had some insight in my situation:
I applied for my citizenship (N-400) back in October 2019. I've had my green card for 2 years but was admissible because of my military service (Since I'm currently serving in the Army as a logistician). A few days ago I received a photo enforced ticket from Bellevue school district with the King County District Court. Due to my vehicle failing to come to a full stop in a third lane going in the same direction as the bus. Since my wife and I drive the vehicle we called the clerks office and I was told that regardless of who did it, I either I needed to appeal and appear in court or just pay the fee since I was responsible (vehicle registered under my name). We decided to pay the fee on-line to settle the matter and since according to WA law a photo enforced traffic ticket is not considered a traffic moving violation, it is not considered and crime and this will not go in my driving record (in fact it is the same as parking ticket it is put on the vehicle's record) we thought it was ok to just pay it. Now my question is, will this incident come up in my interview, and does it show a lack of GMC?

Congratulations and what did you tell her were your intentions when you stayed back

I was honest with her , I explained that I came to visit my family but everything changed when I enrolled in school. If you are in the same situation you have to make sure that your IO understand that your initial intentions when you got your visa was just to travel, make sure you don’t lie as they have already done their homework on you. She even had all of my visa application and school documents.

  7. Hello guys So I finally had my interview in the Seattle field office and this is my experience interview was around 10:30 in the morning I live like an hour driving from the place so we decided to stay in a hotel nearby the night before. We were so emotional that we could not even sleep the night before. We arrived to the support center around 9:55 am and there was a fee of 7 dollars cash for parking. Went through security and waited for our name to be called, we were called roughly 10 minutes after 10:30 and we walked invited the office and were put under oath, the interview was very intensive they wanted to know more about my life back in my country and how many of family members are living in the US no questions about my relationship were asked to me other than what we put on the forms, and if I knew her family, IO wasn’t rude but make sure everything was in place didn’t want to look at the additional evidence as she explained us that she was making this decision based on the initial evidence we sent, I believe she only took our latest bank statement because my wife was hesitant for the IO to see it, she did not explain anything about conditional greencard or anything like that in fact she mentioned she wasn’t making a decision on that day and that it looked a bit difficult since I overstated my visa and that further review was needed since I came in a tourist visa she asked me why I stayed and what was my real intention. At the end she scorted us out and she didn’t say anything else just “you will hear from us in the next 120 days you may be call for a second interview or you’ll get a decision in the mail. Yesterday we receive letters of approval for both I 485 and I 130 and my greencard is arriving today.

It's all in my timeline, but pretty similar dates to yours - filed early February, NOA for February 14, biometrics in Seattle March 20. We got an RFE for more financial info around end of April that we promptly responded to. This was the first update to the AOS since then.

Congrats :D we are still waiting for our interview we had an info pass about a month ago and were told that can happen any time between now and July next year

Whee, finally an update this morning - interview scheduled for December 14. There was no intermediate "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview" step. I did file a service request last week since it had been 6 months since the last update (response to RFE received) but that was never assigned to processing so unclear if that had any impact.

Hi north by northwest did you file in Seattle? What was your priority date?

  10. Hello guys I haven't posted anything in a few months I just want to share what it's been happening with my case since I have not received any updates e since march 23rd when my status changed from received to we are ready to scheduled your case for an interview my local uscis office is seattle and they are currently processing november 25th cases and my priority date is september 27th, the only thing a I'm concerned about right now is the medical documents those I know they expired in one year and they are extremely expensive.

    New status update for AOS:

On April 12, 2017, we scheduled you for your interview and mailed you an interview notice for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx. Your interview is on May 15, 2017.

    Finally some positive update!

Congrats it seems like cases from February are moving really fast compare to the ones from November and December! My I 485 still shows your case is ready to be scheduled

I have a copy of everything ready to be send out.

Does this RFE (if I should get one) affect my EAD and AP application?

No it  doesn't because forms I 764 (work permit) and I 131(advance parole)  are totally independent cases that are not related with your petition I 485 (green card), even thought they were filed concurrently, sometimes people get their green card before than the work authorization documents.

    Just a comment:

You can always expedite your I 765 (EAD)

Letter of employment and some of my husband's pay stubs. I somehow only submitted his 2015 tax return. Do I also have to include his W2 from 2016?

Yes absolutely if you had the W2s you should have sent them along with the form I 864 (affidavit of support)  it's really important. even if they don't send you an  RFE for 2016 have them ready just in case, they may or they may not send you an RFE because you filed just when the year started.

Hopefully you won't get one 🙂

Just a question: I received my Biometrics Appointment letter last week. The appointment is scheduled for April 11th.

I'm still assuming that I will receive an RFE for sending documents that I have forgotten to submit with the application. Do  get the RFE before I have the appoinment or afterwards? My USCIS status hasn't changed yet.

Hello, you can receive an RFE at any time during the AOS process including interview (if you have one)

What documents did you forget to submit?

I don't really have a status update, I have no idea where my petition is. USPS says never delivered, called USCIS multiple times and they said to just 'keep waiting' or make an infopass appointment. So tomorrow if they can't help me I'm just sending another petition

Is really sad what is happening to you I've been reading your updates and at this point I believe you should resend your application and cancel the check because if you don't they might cash you twice
