My NOA came 2 days after the checks had cleared in my bank account. so dont worry too much!
Thank you! I've been worried because I didn't hear anything from them for 20 days. So when my husband told me that they had cashed the check, I felt so relieved. However, since it's still pending and there have been no texts/Emails, I start to panic again. I hope to receive those notices soon in order to be completely reassured.
-
Just a quick update on my case:
My husband told me that USCIS had cashed the check yesterday morning, which was my 21st day. However, the check cashing process is still pending as of this moment. I've been waiting for the texts/emails since last night, but I think I must wait until they completely withdraw the money from my bank account in order to receive those notices, mustn't I?

I hope you'll hear something before they reply your email. I know it normally takes forever for them to get back to you. I've seen someone was told to stay on the line for 230 minutes. Anyways, good luck to you, and to me, too! Let's keep on checking our bank accounts for some good news LOL.

This is funny, but I just told my co-worker, I think this is the only time in my life where I'm hoping a couple of checks totalling near $2000 gets cashed from my bank account. lol.
That's right! LOL. I've kept on telling my husband to check his bank to see if they already cash the check. I guess this is definitely the only time we're happy to see someone takes our money. Btw, have uscis responded to your email yet?

I have good news from my timeline. My bank account listed USCIS as cashing the check today.
packet received 3/13. Check cashed 4/5
I'm hoping yours will be next!So they cashed your check? Congratulations! You'll receive texts/messages soon. Now I'm waiting for my turn...

I have a feeling like if a packet is missing information or something is missing, then they "punish/penalize" you and put it in a pile where they will deal with it in 30 days. I checked all the boxes and forms. The only thing I didn't do is submit a copy of the I-864 for my step-daughter. I included the AOS for both my spouse and her daughter but only submitted 1 I-864 for both of them. So I'm thinking because maybe they need one for my daughter, they penalize us and they send it to a pile where some intern's job is to make copies of it and then submit it with the main packet. That's all I can think of and of course it's all speculation.
If, and only if, that is the case, then we still have some hope since they're gonna process it anyway. Just sooner or later. I've seen someone got his/her texts/messages on the 22nd day, so let's cross our fingers for us and for those who are still waiting.

I see.
I'm following your case too. Bc you sent around same time as mine.
I live in NY and sent to Chicago lockbox.
Do you wrote right amount on check right?
Yes, I did. I double checked it several times before I sent it out. The only 3 things that I didn't include is the form I-130A (I sent out the G-325A), the 4 photos (I only attached 3), and the paystubs of my husband and my co-sponsor. In case they return the package back to me, if it's not because of these 3 reasons, then it's because I must have made some mistakes on the forms such as checking the wrong box or missing information.

As long as you get a case number and your paperwork is in process, you won't be out of status. The key here is to actually get a case number, which you and I are in the same boat.
The only thing we could do now is waiting for them. Please let me know if you receive anything.

Yeah, I won't resubmit yet. It's like you don't know if it's sitting somewhere or it's been lost. No clue since the checks haven't been cashed.
I know right. Mine was worse since I'm gonna graduate in May, so I need something in order not to be out of status. I think we should be more positive hoping that they'd do something before this week ends. Good luck to you, Denis!

Do they cash your check yet?
Which field you sent your AOS?
No, they haven't even cash my check. What do you mean "which field?" I'm adjusting my status from F-1, sent my package to Chicago office, and I live in Sacramento, CA.

Still nothing. So frustrating... I don't know what else to do. A part of me wants to resubmit everything, but I'm told to just wait it out until I hear from USCIS. If I have to resubmit, it's no big deal, but I would have lost a whole month. Uggh.
Don't resubmit until they told you to do so. I understand your feelings since it's what I'm feeling right now. Hopefully, we will hear something by the end of this week..

Same here. Same exact timeline. Sent AOS package on 3/9/17 and they it was received and signed for on Sunday 3/12/17 at night. Basically, it arrived there on 3/13/17. Still no NOA and check hasn't been cashed. It's been exactly 21 days now. I sent an email to Chicago Lockbox support today asking them status. Will see when that gets answered, but on their website, it also states to contact them after 30 days if you don't hear from them. I sent my email to them early since it mentions that it can take up to 15 business days for someone to respond, so I figure by the time someone takes a look, it will be past 30 days.
Still nothing yet, Denis? I don't know what could be wrong with our cases..

Hi. I've been stressing about my AOS, Ead, AP status.
All of the forms arrived in Chicago on 3/13. I have not received any notification and my check has not been cashed. I didn't expect to have to wait this long for the NOA, its been 3 weeks! I called USCIS on friday, and one of the agents had me put on a list for another agent to call me back later and help with the case, sadly i wasn't available and didn't talk with them when they called. So i called back later in the day, talked with a different agent, and they said i would have to call back after 30 days of it being received at the Chicago lockbox. I'm thinking of calling back tomorrow and trying to talk with an agent that will look into my case.so 3 weeks officially today, anybody else with a similar wait time?
Mine was received on the 16th, so it's already the 19th day, and I still have nothing from them. You'll have to wait after 30 days to talk to uscis.
Btw, do you live in Sacramento, too?

Did you hear anything back from USCIS yet?
No, not yet... It's already the 19th day, and I still have nothing. I'm preparing myself for the worst situation to happen now.

This is the first time I had heard about the i130..... Kinda panicked!
I did check the USCIS website, I was getting ready to print off the form, but then realised the i130 wasn't same form I have used. Just to check @Pinkielicious what edition of form did you use cos it says this:
- "If you are using the 02/27/17 edition of Form I-130 to file for your spouse, you must also submit a Form I-130A, Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary."
Then i panicked because the edition now on the website isnt the same as mine at all, but then turns out:
- "If you are using the 12/23/16 edition of Form I-130 to file for your spouse, you must also submit two Form G-325A, Biographic Information: one for you and one for your spouse. Do not submit Form G-325.Please read our Lockbox Filing Tips."
which is the form I have used, and:
"Starting 04/28/17, USCIS will only accept the 02/27/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the Form and Instructions."
so all in all, @Pinkielicious if you have used the 12/23/2016 edition then you did not need to submit i130, you only needed to submit the G325A
You know what, I used the old I-130 at the very first time, but I made a mistake on the form, so I had to print out a new one. However, I didn't even pay attention to the version date as well as the instruction even though I DID realized that the form is a little bit different. That was why I just filled up the I-130 and kept the G-325A as it. Until yesterday, I read someone's post regarding the new and old version of I-130, I then realized that I had made such as silly mistake. I hope they won't send the whole package back since it's already been 17 days when they received the package, but I haven't heard anything from them.

So I realised I don't need 1-130A, so thats good. But I did forget to send his birthcertificate in. So we will get a RFIE for that.
Why don't you need the I-130A? Did you send the older version of I-130?

Hello folks, hope all is well with us. Quick update, I had my biometrics today, arrived by 9.27am for a 10am appointment at Riverside CA and by 10.15am was done. Good luck to you all. And thanks so much for all your encouragement so far. Thanks so much, it is my fervent prayers and wish that all of us will smile in the end of this tedious seemingly endless journey...lol
Congratulations! I'm glad everything is going well on your side!

I know it is extremely frustrating and trust me all of us feel your pain ,but you cant do much either. Let them send you back what you are missing and if you can also review documents on your own time, that you think you might be missing ,then you can mail them back all your application as soon as you receive it.
That's what I'm gonna do tonight thou. I went through my application over and over, but I cannot believe that I could miss such simple things like that :(. I'll graduate in May, and if my case is delayed because of those mistakes, I'm afraid I'll be out of status.

Re-read the instructions about the filing fee, and it does say you can file I-765 and I-131 without fee if you file I-485 and pay the fee for that. That's a relief. But I'll probably still get RFIE for missing passport photos for the EAD and AP
We're on the same boat. I missed the 2 passport pictures fo the EAD, too..

I just want this day to be over. Seriously...I have forgotten to submit two pictures for my EAD and two for my AP. Happens when you don't read the instructions completely. SO done with this day.
Oh no, I just realized that I missed the photos, too...

I feel you since I sent my form right before they changed the version and was lucky there. The reason they could ask for paystub is to verify if your husband is still employed or not. Again do not quote me as every case is different and I sincerely hope they process your application without any RFE , as a few of them on this forum had sent the wrong edition of the I-130 but still were lucky enough to not get a RFE.
I sent the right version, but just not the right supplemental form. That would be better if I recevie the RFE instead of having my whole package sent back to me. And guess what, I forgot the 2 photos for the EAD, too. I'm totally screwed :(. It's been 16th day, and I haven't heard anything from them yet. Do you think I should expect my package to be sent back since I have too many mistakes?

I have never filed taxes before even if I used to work on campus. When I signed the contract with my school, my manager told me to check the box that basically saying that I was exempt from filing tax since my income was not that much. When I received my W2 for that year, I asked my manager and the tax advisor what I should do with it, they both told me to do nothing.
Now you come up with that issue, I'm afraid they'd ask me for a proof, too. And I have no idea where to get it if that happens.
