Nice to know Togovi. But still its driving me crazy.
Yeah jimmy, some people its easy for them to say to calm down but when you are in that situation yourself, you know how frustrating it gets. We have been doing it the right way to get legal but they say ours its just of low priority to USCIS well I think any cases thats done the right way should be deemed of high importance because we paid for it! Its bullshit! I am happy for everyone that were already approved but does not make sense how fckin CSC has not been processing any more these days. Im so tired of this waiting game.
Thanks Vic! Hopefully it goes well for all of us! They should get their together because its peoples lives theyve put on hold! People with family, kids and goals. 😡😡

It seems legit. Hopefully this means that they are starting to adjudicate June 2016 applications. The wait has been long!

    Eosorio07, yes I am CSC.
Funny thing that 3 days ago I got a generic response to my service request. I don't think there is any logic on their approvals.
Hang in there, it should be soon.

The 1 year extension that your NOA mentions IS good for 1 year after your GC expires. If you haven't been approved one month before that date, you need to make an appointment at a USCIS office to get an I-551 stamp in your passport that extends your proof of status for another year.

Notice that I said "proof of status" - you are still a conditional permanent resident as long as your case is at USCIS. You are not "out of status" or "illegal" at any point in this process, until and unless your application is rejected. However, if you wish to leave the country and return, or, in some states, get a drivers' license or a new job, you need to provide proof of your legal status. That's what your green card is for, and what the NOA letter provides, and (if necessary) what the I-551 stamp in your passport provides.

I know it's frustrating and sometimes stressful. But our I-751 petitions are considered to be low priority by the USCIS precisely because we are not out of status at any time during the process. We continue to be legal residents, who are authorized to work, to leave the country and return, and we still should have all of the rights we had when our green cards were unexpired. It's a nuisance, but it's a fairly minor inconvenience as compared to people who are separated from their loved ones waiting for a visa, or those who are adjusting status from a non-immigrant visa, who can't work or leave the country until they achieve legal status.

Worst case scenario we need to make an appointment to get a stamp in our passport. Yes, it's a pain, but there's nothing else we can do!
