End of May and totally relieved!

I've also booked my medical.. just gave them my case number!!!

Soooo... I rang 😬 I have no patience lol #wuss haha, so Yeh the usual the rep told me there still still scheduling, haven't been told that that have stopped scheduling may interviews.indid ask her whetgee she knew if the London embassy still had interview slots, she said she didn't know and there wouldn't be a way of knowing  so yep me still confused!

Ahh zebracakex I'm praying your right insha'Allah!!!! Need an interview or date or something at least!! Where was your cousin's consulate? And congrats on the approval!!!!

Yes send it! When we called on a Thursday and were informed we had a checklist my husband sent the required document the very next day before even getting the email to say we had a checklist. It just saves time and hopefully gets the waiting time started.

@Thesmiths2016 Just to clarify, was your request expedited for a) interviewing only, where NVC will still complete case as usual, but once done, it will be fwd to your embassy right away & you'll be given the chance to schedule the interview as per your schedule? Or b) embassy processing, where embassy will request NVC to just fwd everything right now, and embassy will review & complete the file & then schedule interview?
 
As for supervisor review, you can try at 6 weeks, it doesn't hurt. If NVC will do it, then great. Otherwise, the worse thing is they'll tell you to wait till the 8 week mark. However, when you do request supervisor review, it doesn't change any "queue". It remains in the same queue, and retains the ageing. All supervisor review does is that it just puts a flag next your case, so they know that it's overdue.
 
@chamma DCF is Direct Consular Filing. It's basically an option offered by certain embassies, where they will accept & process your I-130, instead of 1 of the Service Centers. DCF processing is usually a lot quicker, 1 - 2 months depending on embassy. Then, if approved, the petition is fwd to NVC. So DCF doesn't have any impact on NVC processing, your case will still be sent to NVC, but just a lot quicker. Then NVC will processes it like any other case.
 
@claudia88031 Since you just sent your docs, even if you follow up, they will not give you much answer except that they have upto 8 weeks to process your request. Until those 8 weeks are up, you really can't do much because you're still within their processing time. Once those 8 weeks are up, that's when you can start to demand a status update, supervisor reviews, supervisor call backs, & etc...
 
@Samad194 Just curious, did you not get an English marriage certificate, is that why you have to send in the Urdu Marriage Certificate & Nikah Nama?
 
@chamma Yes, you can send in the AOS & Civil docs if you have them ready. However, your 8 week processing will not until you submit DS-260. The real date from which processing starts is either the day a) NVC scans your documents or b) the day you submit DS-260, which ever is later.
 
@Hannah9285 Sorry to hear that you've been waiting for such an awful long time. Have you tried contacting your congressional representative or your senator? How about talking to a supervisor or requesting a call back?
 
@UsSwedlover I would suggest that fill out all the boxes. If the box doesn't apply to you, put N/A, if the answer is 0, or nothing, then just put "None", but don't leave anything blank. I prepared the AOS form myself, so for the preparer & translator, I just put "N/A".
 
@Zebracakex I know how it feels to lose days like this. It happened to me too, where they were closed due to snow storms... Good luck with supervisor review, hope you get a CC soon!

Did you do this after your 6/8 week waiting period or before? As my 8 week wait will be over this time next week.

I had my case at nvc and it took more time to review. I was told that it will take 8 weeks but there was no way I was going to wait 8 weeks. I called and called and called to get a hold of a supervisor and repeatedly told that supervisor is busy. I told them very clearly that there was no way I will stop calling until I get a hold of a supervisor. I sure did keep them busy. 13 calls within 30 minutes. Your call goes through right away in the early morning or late night.
 
When they realized that I was not gonna stop to chew their ### for being lazy, the supervisor order my case personally and review it and now it is complete.
 
So the moral of the story is to call them and tell them that you will not stop calling until you get a hold of the supervisor.
 
Supervisor personally called and completed my case and now I am all happy

I didn't see if someone already responded to this, but I would say that calling now or waiting two weeks is not going to change anything.  From what I know and have been through with the NVC, it is just going to take however long its going to take - which at the moment seems like 10-12 weeks, they just give people these "6-8 weeks" time frames to call them down, get them off the phone, etc.  It's like parents telling children "in 20 minutes".  Whether you are placed into supervisor review now or in 2 weeks, they will still tell you that after going into "supervisor review" they have 6-8 weeks to review it.
 
With your given timeline, my unprofessional opinion is that you won't be able to get case complete, get an interview and obtain a visa with 7 weeks.  But like I said, its just an unprofessional opinion, and the best route is likely the congressman route.  Also a thing to note is that the US citizen does not need to attend the interview at the consulate, it can be helpful to have them there but is not required.
