I sent in my I-130 for my husband 2 weeks ago. Just got NOA-1 today. Priority date of March 3rd in the Texas Service Center. I'm hoping Texas is still going as fast as everyone says.

A lot of Nebraska cases are transferred to Texas so they are sorting out the jam for people stuck since last Sep.

Texas now handling November new cases so it has slowed down for a month.

Let's hope everyone in all centres get approved soon!

can you give me a link of the service center updates? :) thanks!

    http://www.visajourney.com/content/ir1cr1historical

This one is current time for IR1/CR1 processing at each stage (based on VJ member data ONLY)

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?op3=5&op5=&op6=All

This one is timeline statistic based on VJ member input ONLY, you can filter the service centre, set the viewing order by NOA1 date to see who has recently been approved.

For instance if you look at TSC, it is quite consistant that a lot of people has received NOA2 if they got NOA1 by the end of Nov 16.

But of course official figure is more accurate (but less up to date).

Hey everyone looks like I'm on this journey with you all! I recently submitted my I-130 form to petition for my husband. I received my NOA1 with a priority date of February 27, 2017. Unlike most of you I got the Potomac Service Center which looks like they are processing September petitions so let the waiting begin :)

Hey! Potomac that's unique! Let's hope we all get through it quick as!!!!

i called USCIS they said if i dont receive in 4-6 weeks call back ... they wont tell me my case number on phone

Would you consider calling them and ask if you can submit G-1145 at this point so to supplement your email / phone?

yes it is my second application :)

It's up to the person. I don't see how the word ''toxic'' would apply to it, that's a little bit extreme. Some people want to be on the ''safe side'' and front load much as they have, others just comply with what's necessary, there is no right or wrong way in my opinion. Whatever gives you peace of mind and helps you through the process.

So agreed there's no right or wrong and hopefully everyone gets the answer they're seeking for! My toxic as in wanting to read more and more what other people do and digging into the issue like unstoppable!

i have always wonder, if there will be anything other than RFE after NOA1, if not straight to the NOA2?

  7. 19 hours ago, Dilorena said:

although it might not seem necessary, it is a good idea. It doesn't hurt and it can actually improve your chances of avoiding a RFE or extra scrutiny during the interview process. It's funny because my first CR1 was accepted just with a marriage certificate and affidavit, but now we submitted evidence. With how things are going we didn't want to risk it!

Wow so it's your 2nd application? It's somewhat toxic to keep reading on and on about what should be included and then eventually we tend to include more for the "just in case"!

Yes it says you will receive hard copy of NOA 1  in 7-10 days,

Actaully i got that on 02/27/2016 in mail only.

I am thinking to send K3 application as well with all documents that I did not sent with I 130. so that they have all info there. and may avoid RFE on I 130.

Let me know if you see any important updates ( if Files moving fast) from Texas center.

    Thanks,

    Jagrut.

I still think calling them and send supplementary info will be easier and faster than filing a K-3...since you already have a case number they can refer to, and they can always add the info to your file.

Hi Thanks Nattie_Bry, MrChamploo and misshepburn for your valuable feedback

I will surely contact them but dont know the number to call and what is the address for TSC to send documents..

I have one question, did you or others has tried to file K3 as well,

I know K3 is non significance now a days but just in case I 130 get delayed.

    Please guide and educate me,

    THanks

What did they say in the email you received? did they say you will receive letter from mail in 7-10 days?

Application was delivered to Phoenix Lockbox this past Tuesday and we received the text notification on Friday.
Unfortunately our petition is headed to Nebraska, which currently shows abysmal processing times. Hoping for the best, but was definitely disappointed to see where it ended up.

    Good luck to everyone!!

Hey there! dont get disappointed as time line is different from case to case!!

I read threads of filers in 2016 to keep an idea in mind what status it is for others in my centre.

And we will all do this together!

    Cheers!

    Hi Nattie_bry, Thanks,

Yes you are right. I made mistake in typing here. i am february filer. PD is 02/16/2017.

I Sent them copy of marriage certificate with I 130 as proof.

But no other evidence like joint bank account, affidavit, photos, or insurance beneficiary. Hoping that they will ask all info during interview and not delay case by issuing the RFE.

I recently got married so not had all these proof.

Interesting thing is we have lots of similarities in our timeline. Its interesting. Lets update timely.

Want to know is it affect our case if we call TSC in advance without asking info. Have anyone did this before??

    Thanks, Jagrut

Hey Jagrut yes we even got married on the same day what a coincident!!!

So FYI what i have submitted was:

    -  the flight itineraries and photos when we travel together before we have married

    - husband's mom and good friend (both US citizen) written affidavit letters explaining their knowledge of our marriage with a notary chop (please try to search online for a notarized affidavit letter sample)

    - some photos when we got married or when we hang out with friends and families

Some other cases i read people submit:

    - letters / emails when they communicate

    - call logs / phone bills showing their contact

I think it is not a bad thing to call and ask questions because i read that some people actually find out they have missing info when they call, before they received the RFE so they can react quickly.

But i am sure there should be people you can ask in some other group who has did this before?

Hi all, I sent out my I-130 application for my wife (in india) on January 15th 2017, received at Chicago on January 16th 2017.

Received email and Text about case number on 22nd January, 2017, Check cleared on 22nd January, 2017.

Case was assigned to Texas Service Center.

    Priority Date was 02/16/2017.

Waiting for NOA-1, not received as of today. Will keep updates here.

People lets keep our timeline and status updated specially who are at same service center, so can estimates/expects something to hear back from USCIS..

    I have one question:

    • --> When I send I 130 i submitted everything required except the proof of bonafied marriage. Does any one has idea do we need to send it togehter. or it requires later during interview??
    • Do they Send out RFE for that?
    • What kind of proof it can be??
    • When they ask for RFE, with NOA-1 or after that anytime.

    Thanks,

    Hello!

A little confusing here: You have received the email and text but not the actual NOA1 letter?Have you filed in January or February? (received date usually match with priority date)

As per instruction (see check list page of I-130 on VJ) you should send bona fide marriage AT THE VERY BEGINNING, which shall include: copy of marriage certificate, any proof of joint bank account / property / kids if any, affidavit of marriage from friends / family preferably from US citizen and better to be notarized too (templates can be found online). Photos and other relevant information such as insurance should also be sent.

That's what i prepared from all the readings on different wedsites and forums.

Maybe you can try calling TSC and ask if you can send those information as supplementary info package to your I-130?

I also read that sometimes they issues RFE but not until you call and check.

Yes the letter gets send to the petioner's address, I would suggest to ask a  familymember/friend to check his mailbox at home. Well it's been only 21 days since we've filed and the estimation time for adjudication is in may, so I'm also playing the waiting game lol. In the meantime you could start preparing the affidavit of support. Msheppburn has a good guideline I think a few pages back on this topic.

Our wait starts today! Got email and says its TSC!! Thanks for your tips, will start preparing for AOS!
