Hello everyone I have a silly question! Would it be a problem for me getting my green card if I'll keep my last name instead of getting my husband name???
-
In my experienced I went to get a SSN and they told me to go get married first before getting my SSN so that I won't go back again and change my last name. So that's why I got my Marriage license first and got married before getting my SSN.

Hello everyone. UCSIS got my AOS and yesterday I got my appointment letter for my biometrics. I'm so happy. Thanks for all the advice.
God bless us all ❤

And one more thing; Do I need to report my Marriage before applying AOS?

There is no filing date requirement for the AOS. As Geowrian said many people file well after the 90 days, and even a year or two later. The general rule-of-thumb though is to file as soon as you can after marriage to get the clock started.
Good Luck!
Thank you guys, Visa journey helps a lot. I'm just thinking to much. Getting a Visa and being here gives me goosebumps everytime I think about requirements. I need to get over it.

As long as you married within the 90 days, you can do AOS the same way at any time afterwards (years even...barring laws changing). However, once your I-94 expires (90 days after entry), you will be out of status and deportable. Once you file for AOS, you have authorized stay. If you're a few days out of status, the chances of being held is extremely low.
I see, we got married before 90 day's of entry. btw thanks you!

No, you will not be deported if you file AOS a little late. A fair number of people like myself have filed AOS late and there is no problem at all doing . Once you file for AOS the expired K1 will be forgiven because you are married na and have filed for AOS. So don't worry po.
Thank you so much. Makakahinga na ako. I am just over thinking about it. We need a lot of paperwork's to do; so it's a little late and I was really thinking I'll be deported.lol salamat po!

You should be OK when you file at month end. We waited over a month ourselves when filing because my wife had to request her birth certificate from the Philippines.
Thanks, but however do you think filing AOS got an expiration date? I just wanted to be sure about it. It's a little bit stressful thinking about it.

Hello everyone!
If I may ask; is there an expiration date for us to file AOS? we got married for a month now. But still we're not yet finish filling for AOS, however we're planning to file by the end of this month. I'm a little worried if I will get deported by chance?? Please help me clear my mind. Big Thanks!

to my co Filipino applying for a K1 Visa, while waiting for your Visa. Sit back and relax, spend time with your family and friends. Eat Filipino food and enjoy till you say bye Philippines. The most challenging part is being in the US of A; far from Family and most of all wala pong masarap na pagkaing kinagisnan po natin. For me I'm craving for Mangang hilaw at bagoong samahan pa ng mainit na letchong baboy.lol
Good luck everyone, napadaan lang. God bless!

After that CFO ceminar and you're good to go! Good luck

Print the email that they sent to you. and bring all of the documents you have in case they need something from you. Better to be ready than sorry. And btw print copy of DS 160 and attached your printed schedule for your second interview. Good luck! God bless!

They forgot to give me an oath taking before the interview.it will be on May. Not done yet. Any suggestions? How about yours how long it updates to issued and voh? Thank you
if that's the case it's nothing to worry, it's odd that they forgot about it. After my second interview it took couple weeks to get an update and then I never got notification that my visa is ready for pickup. Luckily my husband were always checking the status of my visa online because I'm busy working. But anyways Good luck you will have a hint when your case status change into Non-immigrant from Immigrant.

Second interview do we need to pay again or not?did the embassy do the scheduling or us?ty
No need to pay again for second interview. Base on my experience I had my second interview done and waited couple weeks to get my Visa. It's rare to get denied in a second interview but still Good luck and God bless you.
PS: prayers were the key to success.

Is it ok that my american boyfriend will only visit me here in the Philippines just once and then after that he will file me a petition for a fiancee visa? I would love to hear your advices guys. Fiancee Visa. Thank You!
In my opinion it would be definitely okay if you have the proof of your genuine relationship. And if I may ask how long you're in the relationship with him?

I have been on AP since 9 months and its for a tourist visa....I wanted to check the status but I think the CEAC website is down.
I'm sorry to hear about that. But I don't want to speculate since you're in tourist visa and I am in K1 it's way more different and as far as I am aware that tourist Visa is hard if you don't have a reasonable reason to visit a country. But still don't lose hope Good luck and God bless

Yeah I have been waiting. But since my departure tickets are of march 31. M thinking to email them for an expedite processing request.
I don't know if that works because it's not advisable to get a ticket without the Visa on your hand. But trying is better than waiting. Good luck!

To all in this thread, especially Nauman, keep the faith. my wife's visa was approved today!! Our case had no updates for 2 1/2 months then got 6 updates between the 3/3 and when it was issued today on 3/20. So all I can say is if its updating frequently then they are in the process of approving. The wait is mind boggling, believe me I know but hang in there, its coming. À Dieu soit la gloire (To God be the glory)

Believe me if you think waiting sucks I had the same thing it took a year for us to get my visa approved but I never give up or lose faith . Now I'm happy with the person I loved the most. Good luck and God Bless.

I have been in AP @ 03/09. I was asked to submit Confirmed Air Tickets for travel. Submitted on same day.
@Islamabad Embassy
In your case I advice you to wait for their response, I waited couple weeks after I submitted my additional requirement at the same day as well. But by chance if you can message them to ask for update better to do I did that before and that helped me a lot to lessen my worries.

Actually our 212g was for our communication records which we turned in 2 weeks after interview in early Dec'16 and then the wait. They actually called her and asked for the police certificate which was odd because I know she brought that to the interview and when she returned. We didn't get a 212g for that. But at any rate the status has started updating so we will reach a conclusion soon, one way or the other.
It's good to know that the status is changing it means they're working for it. I don't want to speculate because I don't encounter the same situation, I have sent home under 221g without any form with me I waited 2 weeks to get update for my second interview and that is all because they just need to disclose my fiance's misdemeanor record. I am hoping you can message them through their website that's the best thing I did to have lessen my worries and just keep on praying and be positive you'll get your sweet approved in the right time.

Really? Thanks. I just love my last name compares to his last name, but still I love him so much.😁 and he told me doesn't matter if I'll keep mine. But however it just cross out of my mind if ever it would be a problem for some reason.
