Note: My K1 took a longer process because my husband had a misdemeanor when he's in college. And btw If your fiancé had “ misdemeanor or felony “ make sure you know everything about it. The officer asked me details about my husband misdemeanor”

    Note for K1 Visa:

So the Interview is pretty much about your fiancé. So make sure you’re confident about his information. I remember one question back 2017. The officer asked me What’s my husband mother “ Maiden name “ so keep in mind that the interview it is never hard if you’re prepared and confident to answer everything. Make sure all the documents you submitted, you read and understand because they will ask about it too.

    Note for Adjustment of Status:
AOS is the process you made after you got married in United States. You have 90 days to get married to your fiancé when you got here in the U.S of A.
The questions are about your travel and wedding. They will also ask who attend to your wedding, the venue. And still make sure you know all the information you submitted in your application they will always always ask for it. Add tons of
Pictures. So take pictures together with his family , friends and of course you guy’s.

    -Removal of Condition (ROC)
    ( 10 years Green Card)

Note: Lucky for me I didn’t have interview for ROC. And I don’t want to speculate about the process so
Ask someone that actually had it. ☺️

    Note N-400:

So Naturalization this is when you apply for your citizenship. You can submit application 90 days prior to your 3 year anniversary as a green card holder. ( take note Green card holder this is not the day you got in the United States, it’s when you got your 2 years conditional green card. You’re only eligible for this to if you’re still married with your original Petitioner or your fiancé at the time you apply for your K1 Visa. So for almost 3 years to actually apply for this process. They expect that you guy’s had travel
Together , tons of pictures together with family and friends, proofs that the marriage is genuine. ( pictures actually helps a lot through all the process ) this time the questions were given; so study study study because that’s your key to get your citizenship. It’s easy, just be confident and never let your fears take over.

My experience maybe different than yours. I’m  sharing mine so you guy’s will have ideas in the future ☺️

    Good luck everyone 😘😘😘

Becoming American Citizen soon! Just waiting for my Oath Ceremony ❤️

  3. Hello everyone I am here again asking for any advice regarding to my AOS. USCIS received my application July and got my Biometrics done August, recently I received my Appointment Interview for AOS for this coming October, and I just wanted to ask if I need to get new medical again? since my medical I sent with my application was already expired last month. Is it necessary to get a new one even if they already started my application when my medical is not yet expired. Please help me. TIA

Did she come here on a K-1 (fiancé) visa?  When she applied for AOS, she should have also applied for AP (travel document, form I-131) which would allow her to leave the U.S. and return while her application is being processed.  Until she receives that card, she should not leave.  Otherwise her application will be considered abandoned.

She got here June and got married the same month and applied AOS last month and I believe she got her biometrics done. And now they're planning to go travel outside the country.

I am fiance visa holder and still working in doh under philippine goverment i just file my leave and got authorization to travel abroad from doh..my question is do i need return ticket since my leaved untill january 2018 but im not sure when i will come back because my plan is once my spouse visa is done i will file resignation through courrier.pls help me

    Thank you

Your question is confusing. If you're approved K1 visa holder or fiance Visa you shouldn't have to file leave instead file for a resignation letter. However if you're a GC holder before or after 6 months in USA which I believe in the long process is impossible you can go back home but just for a visit.

  6. Hello guys I have a question regards to my close friend. She ask me if she can go travel outside the USA. I told her that it's one time entry and I myself are not pretty sure what to say to help her. Well I also don't want to speculate and want to know if it's fine or there's any documents she can use to do so. She just got married and apply for AOS. and they're planning to go for a trip outside the country.

Hey guys. I'm posting a little update on this.

My fiance called the consulate this morning to ask about the envelope. They told that the envelope is NOT supposed to have that cut. They asked her to send the entire packet back, along with her passport. They also mentioned that she would receive an email shortly.

Well, we got the email and it's telling us to send more evidence. #######????

You shouldn't call them about that because it's normal and sending it back will just cost money and a waste of time. I got mine last March pretty much the same. But I never had problem going here in US or entering the fort of entry.

I went to Disneyworld Orlando with my hubby last week and i don't even have NOA1 yet. We flew via Delta. Used my passport as my ID and no question at all.  Which mall did you went to and what item are you trying to purchase? why do you need to show your passport or ID?

as I remember my mother in-law took me to  The Shops at Columbus circle as I remember, I want to buy her a thank you stuff and I don't want to mention the name ( she loves those I even  make an alibi to go there without her for a minute without her knowing). The cashier ask for a ID and I handed her my passport she said my Visa is expired and she declined it. I don't have EAD and I'm very disappointed about it. I told my husband about what happened and he said it's very retarded for them to do that. That's the first time happened to me here.( I went back there with my husband to buy it diff. Cashier and she didn't decline it) But moving on I am thinking just to pass the travel stuff for good. Jeez I am really excited about it tho.

  9. Hello everyone :)

I just wanted to ask if it's okay for me to travel around USA when my Visa is already expired and I just apply for AOS, which means I don't have a valid ID except for my Philippine passport which I am not sure will work out for me. My mother in-law would love to go with me at Las Vegas Nevada and Boise Idaho next week. I am currently living in New York. Thanks :)

PS: I had experience buying something from a mall and they ask for my ID and they declined it because my Visa is already expired they didn't accept my PH passport. Which I think is very retarded.

Should the pictures taken to the interview include the same info on the back as the ones sent to USCIS (names, dates, location)?

Are month and year enough? Do they need to be labeled at all?

In my experience my fiance sent the information summary when we met, place and pictures labeled with date. And I do my scrapbook with the exact same information as what he sent to USCIS ( very frustrating) They asked me all the information my fiance sent to them and super happy everything went well and got approved last March 2017. Good luck. God bless both of you.

    PS: Never Lie. :)

In the instruction package for K-1 applicants it says "You should NOT schedule the interview appointment until you have received an instruction letter from the U.S. Consulate and have submitted the confirmation page of the DS-160, visa photos, and a copy of passport for each applicant to our office at the above address. Failure to do so may delay your visa processing."

Does anyone know how long we must wait for this letter. We are in Ho Chi Minh City and we've submitted information they asked for.

    Thank you

HI VJ Members my interview will next week now  i dont know if i still need to get a police clearance even though i already have a NBI ? I never work abroad or stay overseas .

Base on my experienced during my interview I just have my original NBI copy with me and of course the list of all requirements needed. They didn't ask for a police clearance but however  just to make sure just bring your police clearance too.

    Good day all,

I have a question. We are all set to schedule her interview, medical, and CFO but we are still waiting police clearance from Jordan and Qatar. My question is, is it possible to complete her medical, CFO, and interview in one week? Here's what I'm thinking....Medical on Monday (2 day process I here!), CFO on Wednesday, Interview on Thursday. Is this possible or am I dreaming? She lives near Davao so she has to fly to Manila and she'd rather just do it all in one shot. Is it physically possible if I can get the schedule to line up?

Hello it's possible if there's no issue on her medical exam. I had done my medical , interview at the same week I did the CFO after I get my Visa the day after flying here in the US. I can do my CFO at the same week without problem however I'd rather do it when I have my Visa so I won't go back to CFO and get the sticker. I am also from Davao. Good luck for the both of you guys.God bless.
