    as you know JFK is the busiest airport in USA, and i would worse too in slow process specially, because hundreds airlines arrive all together most of the time. Huge lines in waiting. i would said waiting time period could be from 1 to 3 hours could be longer and also depend on the officer who has your case. i remember when i came it took me 4 hours because the officer was so slow to process cases.     oh ok then things must be changes now. because before i had to sent it through courier. once you submit documents it take up to 60 days to review so now give them at least 2 months. hope you get response sooner. wait 2 months then follow up with them.

    I would send them inquiry just to let them know that i did submit documents just FYI.. if they see it then they may response you to wait 60 days, and don't you submit the documents through courier service with original sig? or they advise you to submit through website?

    My sister had interview on 14th March 2018 and she got 221g checked with new joint sponsor.. She mailed twice to embassy but got same reply that you need to submit new joint sponsor. Her last update on ceas was on 4th June which was itself and she kept checking meanwhile but couldn't arrange new joint sponsor.. Today on 16th July ceas shows her visa issued.... 🙂 Quite a strange thing.. Hy na

    by the way how much it cost to kick time bomb in your case, do we need deep pockets to hire reasonable attorney, also such case how much average time need to come up with decision?

    i think this is the only way to puch them to make decision on your case or else then forget it.

    Salaam everyone,

     

    I hope everyone are doing well. I am not getting no more update from Embassy. I even sent inquiry o June 11 and my case was update on that day but they never response me, then i contact senator 2 weeks they did send inquiry as well, and still waiting. My case has not been update since June 11..I hope pray that everyone are are stuck in AP get some updates soon. I know we have been waiting for many many months. Allah knows best. Sab ki dil ki murad pori kare and may Allah unit you with your love one. Ameen..

    Hi everyone, I've been following this forum for over 8 months but have never shared my experience with being in Administrative Processing.  I have been in I130 visa journey for over 2 years.  I sponsored my husband in 2016 and everything went very smoothly up until after my husband's interview.  My husband had his interview on June 15th, 2017 and after his interview, the counselor gave him a piece of paper asking for further documents (it was basically a way to put the case in "administrative processing") and a few days after my husbands interview he received an email asking to fill out personal questions (essentially for background check).  Long story short, the embassy asked for a new medical exam on April 2018 and after a few weeks of submitting the new medical we had consistent updates (strangely we had an update on a Sunday).  However, it'll be 3 months since my husband's new medical exam and we are still waiting!  I have even contacted my senator and his personal assistant has been inquiring since November 2017 but unfortunately, it seems as though they don't have much power when it comes to all of this.  However, I do still encourage you all to involve your senators so they are aware of the problems with the immigration process and you never know it can help in some way.  I wish you all the best of luck; this is a very stressful time we are all going through but all we can do is pray and hope to get out of this dreadful process very soon! 

     

    I would wait until his 2nd medical is about to expire. I notice few of the case over here, they make decision almost when the 2nd medical is about to expire but again depend on the officer plus they have backlog cases, so i would wait another couples of month until your 2nd medical about to expire and lets see what they response you. Hope and pray that you get response soon. You are lucky you got 2nd medical, here are some people that never got 2nd medical and has been in AP for almost 1 year.
