  1. Hello everyone, first hope everyone is keeping well

Today I recieved my forms from London to fill in....

    DS-230 part1

    DS-156

    DS-156K

    DS-157

Just a few questions if somebody would be kind enough to give me and Amie some advice.

    1) Its asks for police certificates for not only home country but any other country I have lived in for over a year, I have lived in USA for 12 months not so long ago, in California, does this mean I have to get a US police cert to or does this not matter as it was USA. If I do need to get one does anybody know how to get this as it is really worrying us

    2) The Medical, I was always under the impression that I took the medical on the morning of the interview, after reading this letter it looks as if I can get it done before I even get an interview date...Is this correct?

Sorry for being so clueless on this, Hope somebody can enlighten us

    Thanks

    David and Amie (L)(F)

  2. Wow just checked progress of case and this was there....

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status:

This case has been approved. On October 2, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.

Cannot believe it, me and Amie are so happy right now!

What happens next, I haven't a clue! Do I just wait for a pack to arrive to me in England?

Good luck to others, I really hope this is real after reading others misfortunes!

    Cheers

    David

  3. The processing times on the USCIS is the time it takes for them to get from NOA1 to NOA2 and nothing to do with the time that a visa is issued, NVC and the Consulate can add months to the time. This just a max time, sort of their way of saying if you have not received your approval and NOA2 letter in 6 months, don't call us until 6 months are past since NOA1. :clock:

After NOA2 then petition goes through NVC which takes time the on to the consulate.

Thanks for that....On average then doea it take around 6-8 months for the whole thing to go through

  4. Hello Everyone,

I would be grateful if somebody could answer this question for me, it may be pretty obvious but here goes..

On the USCIS site is the processing time the time it takes to get get your visa in hand or the time it takes to get the NOA2, their dealing with cases from March 8th right now...

    Cheers

    David and Amie
