  1. I have few questions. Hopefully someone can give me answers. It is very much appreciated. Here is the situation. My mom was visiting me as a tourist in the US. I am a US citizen. I decided to file for her Green card especially with this Covid 19 shut down. My understnading is that I need to fill out I-130, I-485 and -I 864 all together.

When I was filling out I-485, I come accross this:

    - Part 8, Question 61: Self-Sufficiency - Are you exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility?
I believe the answer to this question is "No".

1- Do I need to complete I-944 form as well?

2- If the answer is yes. Do I need to include any documents with that?

3- Is there a model sample that I can follow to fill out the form./

    Thanks

  2. K1 Visa are exempt from paying the fee. Please see the following:

    USCIS Immigrant Fee

Effective February 1, 2013, all individuals issued immigrant visas overseas must pay a US$165.00 USCIS Immigrant Fee before traveling to the United States.  Only prospective adoptive parents whose child(ren) is/are entering the United States under either the Orphan or Hague Process, Iraqi and Afghan special immigrants who were employed by the U.S. government, returning residents, and those issued K visas are exempt from the new fee.  The below USCIS website has more details on the new fee, including contact information for USCIS, if there are further questions: www.USCIS.gov/immigrantfee.

  3. If you book the ticket through Royal Air Maroc, you don't have to deal with issues of visa transit. ticket with RAM can be very expensive. The port of entry would be New York. Then your fiancé will need to change planes in New York to fly to Salt Lake City. Or you can book ticket through other airlines which are cheaper in most of the times like Air Portugal, Air France, Iberia. I don't think he needs a visa transit if he does not have to step out from the airport. You may need to clarify this issue with the airlines when you call them.

  4. Hi Guys,

I would like to share with you a bad experience that my fiancée have had recently about a week ago when she tried to do her medical exam with this Dr. JANAH ABDELAZIZ .
Cabinet Address: 104 BOULEVARD ABDELMOUMEN, 3eme ETAGE, Apt: 8 CASABLANCA. She was accompanied by my sister in law. The doctor was interested in my sister in law. My fiancée was harassed by this doctor and threatened that he would fail her medical exams if she did not provide him with my sister in law's name and phone number. I Believe it is amounting to sexual harassment. My fiancée mentioned that there are many people who were complaining about this doctor. I am going to contact the US embassy in Casablanca and complain about this doctor. Anyone who had bad experience with this doctor, please do the same. I would like to arise awareness so other people know about him.

Please anybody who has any advice if I need to do any other further action on this matter, please advise.
    Thanks

  5. Hello everyone,

My fiancée is having an interview on April 13, 2017 for K1 visa. I have 2014 and 2015 tax transcripts, bank statement, paystubs and employment letter. But I have not filed my tax return for 2016 yet. I have made enough income for these past three years to support my fiancée. Can I just submit my W2 for 2016 instead. I am hoping that my fiancée will come and get married and file taxes together. Is it OK to do that? Your thoughts?

    Thanks

The Moroccan fiancé fills out the DS 160 not the USC. Can fill it out when you get your interview date. Will need to upload a photo and print out the proof of completion at the end to take to your interview.

You fill out form DS 160 online when you receive confirmation of interview date. You upload picture. you print out the front page with picture. You submit the printed page with other documents on interview date.

    Good luck!

    Hello Fromspace,

have you asked NVC the reason it's taken too long to send it to the embassy?

I asked them why it is taking so long. They did not say the reason why, except they keep saying it is in Administrative Processing (AP). By the way, I have a good news though, I checked today my case on line. It shows in Transit.

    Good Luck

  8. I have received my NOA2 for my K1- visa petition since Jan17th, 2016. I called NVC many times, they gave me a case number and told me that my case is still in AP. Right now, my petition is stuck at the NVC . Still waiting impatiently that my petition will be sent to the US embassy in Casablanca, Morocco. I am not sure if this delay has to do with Trump's recent executive order to ban some Muslim countries to enter the US . I have compared other timelines of people from other countries, the process at NVC is faster. Any Thoughts?

you wait / and when NVC asks for something, you comply

    nothing to do but wait

you are well within processing times

at this time NVC is overwhelmed with cases as many from the banned countries are stuck in their office waiting to process to embassy and not allowed as one of the women married to Iranian can tell you / her case is at NVC since November

yours should be ready for interview this summer

Thanks for adil-rafa for your response. I know that I have no choice just to wait.

  10. Hi everyone,

I am wondering what is the processing time at NVC after K-1 visa is approved from USCIS and receipt of NOA2. My K-1 visa was approved on 01/17/2017. I called NVC. They gave me my case number and told me they received my K-1 petition from USCIS on 01/30/17. I am checking the case status every day on line and it shows still At NVC and I called the NVC, they told me the case is still processing. It looks to me it is taking a very long time since I am comparing my time with others who filed for K-1 visa. What do you think should be my next plan of action.

    Thanks

Yeah i used this translator too , she have her place near to the american embassy and it coast about $15 wich is 150 MAD per papper

Thank you guys for your tips. I figured now that all documents may expire before the interview date. I will wait until we receive a letter from the US embassy with an interview date.

so the translation fees will cost only 150 MAD per document. that 's not bad at all.

    Thank you again

  12. Hi everyone,

I have few questions. I will appreciate your answers.

I filed for K1 visa for my fiancée. The petition is still at NVC. I have not received confirmation that it was sent to US embassy in Casablanca and I don't have an interview date yet. I would like to know if I can ask my fiancée to start collecting all the necessary documents ahead of time, such as the police report, the court records, the certificate of singlehood and etc.,

Also, we need to translate these documents. Does anyone know of a good and reasonable translation service in Casablanca ?

    Thanks,
