    thank you!

On 3, I googled passport agencies, and it seems to be the right approach. They only take appointments by phone, and they take appointments 10 days in advance (but the appointment itself must be no earlier than 72 business hours before the flight). So hopefully they will have appointments available.

Please keep us updated whatever you did and if you succeeded. I'm interested to find out

    Is a I-751 interview a common thing?

I asked a USCIS rep about the interview and he said generally everyone has to go through an interview for removal of conditions. Then I read some official USCIS document stating that all filers after December 10th 2018 have to go through an interview unless waived. Ahhh. Now we gotta prove our genuine relationship over and over again. This was not the case before!

No green card news or interview date yet but my husband passed his driving test and has a drivers license good while his EAD is valid so that was exciting today. Now we just have to pay for renewals as he gets his various green cards. Anyone else got their drivers license recently?

yup. I got mine in Illinois state on the basis of EAD. valid for one year.

Thanks for the info, @mhbrz! I got rejected since they couldn't find the record of my I-130 being accepted (and yes, I had filed them concurrently, and I have no idea why it happened). Do you think they'll process it faster when I resubmit since everything has already been in their system?

Thats so strange, how could they not find record in their system ? Did you not send copy of your I-130 receipt (or approval) notice with the adjustment application for the first time ?

On my rejection notice for I-485, there was a Received Date and a Receipt Number. If I resubmit, will they give me a new Received Date and Receipt Number? Or it remains the same?

    Yes.

New received date and new receipt number.

Source: My EAD application got rejected because of missing signature. I got the rejected package back, but when I filed again, they assigned a new receipt number to the application.

Hi welcome back from your interview ,, how did it go ? Now the one with the experience please share with us ,, 🙏🏾All goes well or went well thanks!

    UPDATE for my green card:

    New Card is being produced

Today I went to Chicago Field Office with my wife. The interviewing officer was a very nice lady. She first asked us to take oath and then asked for our Photo IDs. After that she asked how did you meet, we told the whole story. She asked for our marriage certificate and said that she doesnt have that on file (strange because I had sent the documents with the application already). I gave her that. She asked to see our passports. Then she asked if we have any photos, we showed her a whole album. She took a few photos from it, she was particularly interested in photos of me with my wife's family and my wife's with my family. The album contained our wedding ceremony photos and some other general photos we had together. After photos she asked for any bonafide documents we have relating to marriage. We gave her our joint tax filing documents which had our name together. I showed her a checkbook from our joint account, it had both of our names. she took a deposit slip from it and kept it. She asked do you have any other accounts i said we have credit cards with same account number. She made a copy of them too. Then she went on asking several yes/no questions relating to like being arrested, criminal history, drug trafficking and she asked have you ever claimed verbally or in written that you are a US Citizen? She then told us about the removal of conditions process and told me that when you go to get a drivers license tell them ahead of time to not register you as voter because that may do serious immigration problems for you since you may be asked to sign the form, and if you do it then it may be termed as "falsely claiming to be a US Citizen". Then she walked us out in a very elegant manner. She had a very polite way of talking and had a nice smile on her face all the time. There was a small camera mounted up near the ceiling in the room.

In the afternoon I got the update from USCIS website which said "new card is being produced".

best of luck to everyone else!

    Interview Experience

We went to our interview and the Interviewer was really nice. He asked us how we met, then, he said, do you have any updated documents, I gave him the joint income tax that we filed for 2016. Then he asked my wife a series of questions from the initial form we submitted. Like "if you're a terrorist or held a gun or bringing goods for sale" and so on, just answerable by yes or no. Then he did something on the computer and told us that, I don't see any problem here, and I'll approve your application pending the background check. Background check is for 24 hours, so he said, he can approve our application tomorrow and we should be getting my wife's green card within 2 weeks.

Finally we can stop stressing lol.

    Good luck everyone!

    Great! Congratulations!

Whops...I didn't read that. So you might get your EAD some time this month.

When did you call them? I see you submitted your application at the beginning of February.

Yes it might show up in the mail in a week. I called on april 24th for the service request. After that I called on 90th day too, to raise another service request but the reps told me that the system wont allow creating a new request if it hasnt been 30 days since the first request. I eventually just waited and after three days I received the beautiful message from heaven hahaa 😂

I called yesterday to make an inquiry about my EAD. They made a service request and that afternoon I checked my case again and it said my request was already completed. My case still says the same thing (case was received on February 21st). Has anyone else experience this? I am not sure if I should call USCIS again or just leave it and see what happens.

Yes I have experienced this. I dont know if the SR does the work but it definitely doesnt hurt to raise one. Because if could only help, it cannot delay the application anymore so why not take a chance. On day 77th, my service request was raised, assigned and completed in like 3 minutes 😂 and then there was no outcome...finally after 93 days i got the update that new card is being produced.

Yeah like Miggel said, it seems like it can take up to a month which is just bad. I know it's 100% our fault and I take the blame for it, but a month to send everything back seems a bit excessive.

They wasted my full month before sending me my rejected I-765 form just because I forgot to sign the form. Dont ever forget to sign the forms
