  1. What would be a cause for RFE? I'm so worried we will get one even though I sent more evidence then they needed at initial filing, maybe I'm just paranoid lol. He came here on a 2yrs visitor visa we got married on his second trip here to the US and he went back before his visa expired may 2nd. I sent alot of evidence except receipts for the wedding which I didn't remember till after.

our PD is May 22nd Algeria

From the November list I've been tracking, which is mostly Nov 29th cases, the list is getting smaller.

They are processing mid December cases as we know, the ones I tracked were all Dec 13th (mine was a week later)

I did see 2 cases with updates from the 25th that said

'Notice explaining USCIS actions was mailed'

We mailed you a notice informing you of the action we intend to take on your case.

Please follow the instructions in the notice and in the notice and submit any requested materials.

This isn't an RFE because there's another case that has an RFE earlier in the week.

I wonder if that means they intend to reject it.

25th of December? And it does sound like they might reject those cases if there's no RFE

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I was curious why our petition was forwarded to Nebraska when my husband is from Florida. I'm unsure but I thought Florida is within the jurisdiction of Texas Service Center. Anyone knows how this works?

Processing status says that our case will be adjudicated between January 10, 2018 and January 18, 2018.  Is it possible to request for a transfer to another service center?

The lengthy separation with my husband gives me undue stress :( :( still I'm keeping my hopes up.

Unfortunately alot of cases have been routed to Nebraska since Nebraska is the main Hub. I feel you when it comes to waiting times mine will be middle of January early February. I got Nebraska since I live in Oregon. I don't know if you can request a transfer or not I don't know much about that, but Maybe your will.

  4. My husband wants to try to visit on a visitors visa again and Algeria gives 2 year visas to the usa he has had one before. He has a year and 3 months left on his current passport and were still waiting for our noa2 were in Nebraska so it's going to be a long wait since we filed in May 2017 so my question is will that effect us in the process or not? Or should he try getting the visa with his still valid passport?

Hello,  I noticed, we will be getting our approvals around the same time and hopefully, moving on to Algiers Embassy for interviews. I'm hoping to meet someone to encourage each other and give informative tips, nice to meet you and good luck!!

Yes best of luck to you I know waiting for approval of i130 is the longest and i see that nvc is still 9 to 11 weeks but thsts nothing compaired to the long wait at Nebraska, if you would like to talk more we can private chat or text.

yup, and with that I see a lot of people complain when they're well within normal processing wanting to call right away not realizing its just going to make it worse.

When I first started the process it was 5-6 months and now its 7-8 months.

Really one of the best things to do is not check so often or you'll drive yourself mad.

So basically if you call while your within the normal processing time u get pushed back 60 days?! And the same thing if your over the normal processing times too?

    Hey,

In the same place as everyone else. May 11 priority, Nebraska Center, processing from Israel. Wish we had just done adjustment of status in the US, like everyone else I know, and which a lawyer even recommended. But alas, here I am and it sucks. Looks like we will be here until March 2018 at this rate. whoopdeedoo.

I totally understand me and my husband were going to to AOS here in the states but he wanted to do it this way. So unfortunately we got Nebraska too priority date may 24th.

  8.  Me and my husband got married here in the usa while he was on a visitors visa on February 4th 2017 and he went back may 2nd to Algeria and I put in the papers and they received them may 24th already have my noa1 and got nebraska. I was dreading Nebraska. My husband is the cheery one and oh so positive that it will go fast. But as for me I can't help being more realistic about the situation and were both not in the position right now to visit one another. I know I should be more positive and go on with normal life like it doesn't bother me but it does, even though I haven't been in this as long as everyone else I know it will be a long wait in the end. I hope you

all have fast approvals and wish you all the best
