Yeah I can imagine this could happen. Just got stuck to the previous one in the stack wherever they print and mail them out of. Definitely wasn't simply put in the wrong envelope since USCIS uses window envelopes.

What's the address on the notice, if it's yours the law office probably got something intended for one of their clients and your notice and they were nice and just forwarded it to you.

The address in the envelope is my home address....Oh... thank you this is making sense...

  2. Guys....... So has this happened to you???

I got another Prima Facie this August and it came from a law firm from another state:(( ANd then I called the law firm why the prima facie came from them because this nevr happened to me before this is the first time this happened that USCIS did this..... And the law firm said that USCIS sent it to them. So that's why they just forwarded to me...... Do you guys have an idea why this is happening??? Has this happened to anyone here??

Yeah you're right they are the CEOs of been vague! If you want more information as to why the cancellation..you can enquire through your congressman or senator. That's what I do. My attorney and senator were happier than me when my journey came to an end because I was hot on their necks! Lol..I didn't leave any stone unturned!💁

Hi Stillwinning, I am planning to write my congresssman to ask assistance about my i-360 which i filed in october 2017 and right now there is no decision. I just keep getting the Prima Facie latter:(

Iam so sorry for you ..

are you filling by your self ? Or you have a lawyer ?
did they sent you any RFE ??
it doesn’t matter if you sent the applications all together or no , this couldn’t be the reason for the delay ..

my suggestion to you is to get your congressman/woman involved in this and make them inquire about your case on your behalf because it’s taking longer than normal ..

I hope you her from them soon !

No they did not ask for RFE at all............

  5. I have question which would be the right processing of time for me for my VAWA.....  I got i360 reciept notice for my VAWA in june 2017............. aND THEN I came to a knowledge that I can file for employment also because my husband US citizen so I go ahed and filed for i485 and i765 in OCTOBER of 2017................    then I get my employment card now I AM WORKING BECAUSE of employment card.....  And no news until now of approval............ do you think that is why my case is taking very long time because I did not file all the paperworks all at the same time????????...........

If you file I-360 on June 2017 your case is out of processing time, contacted your congress person to inquired to Vermont service Center about your case... and also raise a service request online. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt here is the link.

Hi......... thank you very much.... :) I submitted the request and it is said there I will receive a reply on Oct 12...............

  7. Guys............ see I see it clearly now please let me make clarifications.  I filed my VAWA i360 first in JUne 2017. Then I got the prima facie then.  But then I know after that i could file my i485 and i765 concurrently because my husband was US citizen.  So my notice for my VAWA i360 is June 2017, and my notice of USCIS receiving i485 is October 2017.............. Still...........it is a long time now. I read that each person is a different case and I am just happy i have work permits to work.  I will keep praying............ thank you for listening......... I have no lawyer to ask sometimes and I am very confused sometimes................

I think you may be confused about different paperwork and what they mean.

Lets start at the beginning. What visa did you enter the US with? Did you ever file ANY paperwork with your spouse? Was your spouse an LPR or USC? Finally what does the prima facie say? Here is an example of a prima facie for VAWA=

Notice how on the letter it states what form was filed. If you have a prima facie saying its for form 360 with the receipt number then you did file the 360.

Prima facie says: I-360 Petition for Amerasian, widower, or Special Immigrant

But my EAD is c09 Category, why is that so?  It should suppose to be c31?

You have a prima facie! That's awesome..and a good proof of the petition! Now write to Vermont and contact your congressman like I adviced!👍

Yes, my work permit is only basing the i485 because my ead is c09 category. But the i360 I did not submit.  Please if anyone of you here a lawyer who can help me........  how do i submit my i360?   :( Maybe it's always good to hire lawyers to file because to less mistakes............ I need help guys......  Can I still submit my i360?

You have to file based on something..so what's it gonna be? Or let me ask..you already filed VAWA right? And you want to file i485 now? You can if your spouse is a USC!
