My I-360 approval letter says, the petition indicates that you the self-petioner are in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status. You should contact the local USCIS office to obtain form-I-485. A copy of this notice should be submitted with application. Mine doesn't say anything about Vermont.

Deferred action means you will not get deported until a decision is made on you adjusting status. When USCIS approves an I-360, Deferred Action is granted to the petitioner.

 

I-765 is the form you fill in to receive your Employment Authorization Document. This form is not dependent on the deferred action document. 

If you filed I-360, you may file I-765 and check category C31, which means you will receive your EAD once your VAWA is approved. 

If you have a pending I-485, you may file I-765 under category C09, which means you will get your EAD 3-5 months after filing I-765.

You are wrong! I received deferred action for 15 months and my lawyer applied for EAD C-14! EAD based on deferred Action

My case was similar to yours!!I applied January 2017. February 2017 RFE for Good moral character.I sent FBI clearance April 2017 then a week later I received Prima Facie! Good luck

I requested a Prima Facie  extension (2nd prima facie)  back in January. They sent it to my lawyer(who no longer represents me) his office only sent me a scan and it is just a letter from USCIS, it is not the same as the first prima facie, was yours the same?

 

Btw, I am an August 2017 petioner

Hi guys, any idea after I-360  aproval email. How long before you get approval letter in mail?? I want to apply for EAD . Thanks

I got the same email on Thursday 17 and on Friday 18 . They approved my case ,, that's the only time that I got the email that they were revewing my case then next day I got the approval email notification.

Hi,,, I submitted RFE for good moral character (FBI fingerprints)  it shows Vermont got it last Friday(check UPS tracking number),,  my question is how long before there is an update on my case online or they acknowledged on line that they actually got my RFE?

Hi sandra since they didn't mention deadline,,, should I call Vermont and explain to then that it might take a while before submitting good moral clearance since FBI takes 12-14 weeks to provide background check!!  Thanks for your help and I'm from NJ as we'll!!!

Hi Guys,, my RFE has no deadline on when to respond back,,, since I have to submit fingerprints to FBI,  I know it will be around 3 months until I send it back to Vermont!!! Is it normal to received RFE with no deadline to response?  I heard they usually give you 30 days to send back information in regard of RFE!  Any experience on this??? Guys,,, thanks for the help

About your question, FBI clearance takes a long time. Did you check if your state does a police clearance? As in not the local police department but a state investigation agency ? That is quicker. If you dont mind, you can let us know what state you are in and we can help you search if you can get a state clearance. For NC and GA i was able to order the state clearance via mail by printing out some forms online and sending them in with fingerprints and a money order. Responses were within 2 weeks.

OK,,, I-797C received date January 3 , Notice date January 27 and RFE January 31,,,hope this information helps
