Had the interview today. Went very well, passed. Now we wait for the status updates and oath letter.
The interview was as simple as they come. He just asked for the green card, drivers license, and interview letter, and didn't even ask for the latest return transcript. 6 civics questions followed, along with 1 reading and 1 writing sentence. Then each and every question on the application was reviewed.
Boom, done.
The only reason it took 20 minutes instead of 10 is because the INTERVIEWER required an interpreter, as he was deaf. Go figure.
I still believe it is field office speed more than anything else if you are inline, mark my words bro your status will change within one month, applications of many people are rolling now
Green cars, or any other color cars, are not necessary, although, in my opinion, everyone, if they drive, should be driving green cars at some point if we want to save the environment.
Bring your green card and any other immigration documents you may have, driver's license or state ID, passport, and oath letter.
Finally i have taken my oath today and became citizen of the United states of America . Thank you everybody for the support and i wish you all the best and good luck . Kindly someone please update the timeline .

I had my interview today. I was the last person. IO went through the whole application, but since my application was very straightforward it took only 10 minutes. IO said that if everyone application was like mine, their job would be very easy. I was asked the following questions;
who was the president during world war 1?
what did susan b anthony do?
Name a war fought by US in 1800?
and other three I don't remember
IO stamped my my application with "Approved". I asked the IO if my application was approved or recommend for approval. He said he approved it but just in case I did something from now and between oath that disqualified my, the "approved" would have no meaning. Very easy interview overall. Now, just have to wait for oath letter.
My husband's interview was at the Washington DC Field Office in Fairfax VA yesterday. He was approved and the experience was very positive. We arrived 40 minutes prior to his interview. As stated on his interview notice letter, we were not able to actually check in at the front desk until 30 minutes prior to his set interview time. He was called back for his interview right on time, and the whole interview lasted 20 minutes. His officer did not ask him for any documents other than his green card and passport. We brought many other documents, including passport photos, which were not asked for (better to be prepared for anything!). The whole thing was done in an hour. If you have any specific questions, please let me know.
Now we're just waiting for a notice about the Oath Ceremony.
They'll go through each and every Q on N-400! Be ready to state:
- total nr. of trips, cumulative days of absence, month and approx. days of absence for trips in the last year.
- all your previous addresses and exact dates of residence.
- Answer questions clearly and completely.
- Talk about something only if you are asked to do so. Be succinct and to the point.
Bring 2 passport photos, even if invitation letter didn't state.
Don't sit down until you are told to do so. Don't place your documents on his/her desk without asking permission.
Listen carefully what IO tells you, follow his/her directions.
Read through every document IO gives you carefully; sometimes inadvertent errors slip in; use opportunity to correct them on the spot.
I brought several hundred pages of original documents, I was asked for none.
I didn't feel like IO asked me anything that I shouldn't have known already.
My IO was professional, clear, succinct, and to the point.
