Here are some more detailed instructions :D (source: quoted from the London VJ guide)

    1. Hit “Register” then select the top option.
    2. Enter your details.
    3. Hit “Add Applicant” and then pick the middle option in the drop-down menu (“I need to register a K Visa Appointment”)
    4. Fill in the details here too, and then you'll be taken back to the main page.
    5. Hit “Continue” and select the closest DX Secure depot to your location (You can pay for home delivery afterwards if you want it delivered).
    6. Then enter your appointment information.
    7. Next up is paying the visa fee which is currently £150. Once that's confirmed, you can then print off a copy of the next page as evidence of paying. After that, you also now have the option of paying an extra $30 (currently about £19) for home delivery of the visa. Print off a copy of that receipt too – you get sent the confirmations via email as well so you can print those off at a library if you have to.

Let me know if you still have trouble! I hope this will help you get through the payment

Hi it just says email already registered !???

Hello! After your interview is booked you can pay your fee at this website

Hit 'Register' then follow the instructions!

In the end, once you pay the fee, you should print off the confirmation page to bring it as proof to your interview.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you. I tried but still can't find the payment part!

I hit register and I am registered what's next!??

You can track your case here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Once the status says 'ready', your file has been transfered to London. You can then do steps 1-5 here: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

In the meantime, gather all your required documents i.e police certificate, passport pics, birth certificate, medical history, vaccine records, I-134, paychecks, W2s, letter from employer, new statement of intent (signed) and continued evidence of relationship ^_^

Thanks for the info. Today our status changed to ready! What do we do now??

@KeriAn Yep, they only interview on Thursdays here, so my dream date would be September 21th or 28th... Not later than October 5th in any case, because the next Thursday is a holiday in Spain and I don't want to wait past mid October. We'll see ;)

@mcs LOL, ask the consular officers how annoying I can be :P

I guess I try to be polite in my persistence and stubbornness, and that makes me less annoying.

Thanks for the nice words!

So I was wondering.. are anyone else planning to visit the US or have their fiancé visiting the US with the K1 pending? I'm flying over next week and I'm a little worried now that we now have the visa application pending. I've been reading other forums and it seems to be ok just wondered if someone else was having upcoming trips and were worried..... cos again.. I worry about everything lol 😂

Hi we sent our application April 1st I was here as I came to visit and help fill the application. I'm here until June as I'm allowed to stay 90 days using my ESTA visa.

You can visit as long as you have the correct visa and don't overstay your allowed time. Also have your return flight booked and I always have proof of this to show at border control.

Sorry I didn't explain myself that well either first time :) And keep in mind we are still in the process, so I can't be 100% sure about the pictures. But I read other people did it that way too, so quite positive that part is fine.

Uh oh! Welcome to the April fillers, but I'd lie if I said that post of yours wasn't a bit disturbing. Didn't you have plane tickets or something in the two years period, that they were asking for more proof?

We sent proof for all the four times we met, and the first one was actually the one that was documented the best, since it was a vacation for both of us, and not one staying at the other's... But that happened in February 2015, which means two years and a month before filling. Now I wonder if that's going to be a problem, though I wouldn't understand if that's the case, considering plane tickets, pictures together and all that for the other three times should be more than enough.:o Worried now :(

Hi don't be worried. The mistake was entirely ours we didn't send enough information. Also we didn't realise they'd want so much. I had been in the USA from the UK for over a year and we were even living together!  I was just posting how long things took for us last time.

  8. Hi we are April filers however this is our second application. We first applied in August 2016 but received an RFE in October asking for evidence we had met in person. We sent back some information and photos. We then waited until January 2017 which was the 90 day time frame for the ucis to reply. We called them and two weeks later early February 2017 our application was denied as the evidence wasn't all from the two years prior to our application our mistake!. And the photos we sent of us together at various times in the last 18 months were considered secondary evidence. So we have reapplied mailing our new application April 1st including everything requested and more!! We have our NOA 1 and now sit patiently waiting again. It's a hard long journey but we wish you all well.

I just wanted to know is this the first time for everyone or like us are you reapplying?

Also I was showing how long some of you may have to wait. Let's hope it's quicker this time!!! 😊

Ahh yes I see, yea that's an automatic denial then If you didn't meet prior to filing the K1 petition. You'll be OK this next time, just reapply, and don't forget to include both yours and your fiances divorce decree's in your petition package, in addition to your evidence of meeting.

    1) Must have met face-to-face prior to filing

We had met we'd been together a year before we filed! It's just that some evidence we sent was a month after we filed. And we did send divorce papers that wasn't part of it. It was the documented evidence that we'd met in the two years prior.

its all sorted now tho thanks we are going to re apply.

    What e

You didn't state, what exactly was it you didn't do till AFTER sending the K1 petition to USCIS? If you didn't meet prior to or either of you didn't finish divorce prior to sending your K1 petition to USCIS, then yes you are disqualified on this petition and will need to reapply AFTER doing so. Two of the main big requirements for filing a K1 petition are that 1) Must have met face-to-face prior to filing. 2) Must not be married to another person at date-time of filing.

And yes, you can file your K1 petition while you (the foreigner) are in the US, as long as you leave the US for your embassy interview.

Hi thanks for your answer and help.

We both divorced 20 years ago. The evidence we sent of meeting in person wasn't enough and my fiancé sent his evidence of travelling to the uk but it was in the September and we filed in August so that didn't count. It's our mistake.

And we are re applying and including the correct things this time! ? It's a learning curve!!

Your situation is very similiar to the OP in this thread.  Therefore you need to get all your evidence together proving you have met in person.  Then put together your packet again following the K-1 guide here on Visa Journey and reapply.  good luck!

Thank you!!! It's exhausting isn't it? Lol

i also have the question of ...... I'm going to travel to the USA to help my fiancé with the forms and to take the copies of things I need to. I will travel on my ESTA possibly staying a month my return ticket will be booked. Can we fill in the K1 application and send it while I'm there!?? I've googled it some say yes as long as I DO leave which I will.

  12. Hi so I'm in the U.K. My fiancé in USA. We applied for a K1 and sent our application August 2016. We received an RFE for evidence we've met and sent some information. However some of this was after we applied so didn't count which resulted in our application being denied. We have just received the letter explains this all to us.

So now I believe we have to reapply!??

Has anyone experience of this and can advise me!?

    Thank you

Precisely. If the OP is insisting upon appealing, instead of first investigating through resources they have at their disposal and then perhaps refilling - as described above they may find themselves spending $675 pointlessly on a case that will be denied again or falling into a black hole. They will then be further angered when they have to shell out $535 for refilling after another lengthy wait with no answers, when they could have chosen to get right to the point of that step. The OP is taking the denial notice of instructions at face value, when it is generally accepted that appealing is a great waste of time, money, and effort. People are trying to help in this thread.. if the OP wishes to proceed instead of further research, then I can offer no advice anymore, other than good luck, and I sincerely hope they are not disappointed.

Sorry we are just doing what is asked of us!!! We weren't given a list of options on the letter. Just what I've stated if there was a list of options I would have asked for advice on the best to take.

I assume you've heard of others having been through this!?

I think what she means is that you have not been very detailed, and in this process DETAILS REALLY MATTER. You were asked for the specific wordings and details so that ppl may help you better and suggest what might have specifically gone wrong so that you can overcome it. If you choose not to supply that info, then don't be surprised if the problem doesn't resolve itself for next time.

I've been as specific as I can. What I've written is what we received. They denied our application as the evidence we sent for the RFE wasn't enough. They now want documented evidence that we met in person.

The samples of what we can send are silly as I was working and living in the same town as him for 15 months. This is stated in the application as my address was near to his. I then moved into his house 3 months before I left the USA. The direct tv account at his house is in my name I'm also on his cell phone plan.

But hey ho we will carry on and send the information they want and the $675.

Hopefully we will resolve all of this. The frustration is immense tho
