    Hello,

    Quick question.

Can you still upload documents on the ceac website after u have been scheduled for an interview? In case one have new vital additional documents to add

I have read that it is not required.  Case closed at NVC.  Just need to bring new passport along with you to interview.  But...I just uploaded and submitted new passport my wife just got.  Interview next month in Bangkok for IR1 interview.  We shall see 😎

How to pay the Green Card Production fee of $220 on the Elis system.

NO NEED FOR ACCESS CODE, that is for other procedures like getting a copy of a green card, etc.

    1. Create the ELIS account here: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

    2. Go here to pay fee: https://www.uscis.go...g-online-filing

    3. Click to pay the USCIS immigrant fee icon.

    4.Click "continue" at the bottom.

5.Enter the Alien Number and the NVC or DOS case. Use the same email you used on the ELIS account.

This is critical to enable your created ELIS account to receive your payment information.

    6. You will get an email confirming your payment.

    7. When you log again on the ELIS account, you will see your case number. (It is added automatically).

    8. Login into your ELIS account to track or check the status of your Green Card.

Note: Green Card process starts when immigrant enters USA and is processed at POE.

Getting ready for interview at this time and preparing for our move to the US from Thailand.  My wife is IR1.  Is this something I will need to do?  It seems as though I have already done this during NVC stage along with the SSA card for her.  From what I understand is that she will receive her Green Card at POE from USCI official.  Can get some clarification on this?

    Thank you

Take the new passport to interview

I understand that i do need to take the new passport to interview.  I am wondering if I need to upload the new passport to NVC?  I am thinking that I do not, seeing that our case is complete at NVC, and if i remember right, NVC says after DQ'd, all inquiries should be directed to the consulate.  Am i correct with this?  I really haven't found anything on this issue and I sure didnt expect to be having this problem as my wife should have been here by now, but..so goes the journey of immigration 🥴

  5.   We were DQ'd back in June 2020.  We got our interview appointment about 2 weeks ago for next month in January  Like Lucky Cat, they are working on backlog.   Should be coming soon. or mayb soooon. 😜.  I am so happy to be coming to an end of all this and am very exited to see my wife again.  Has been over a year and a half since i have been able to hold her.  Hopefully just 3 more months. 🙏

  6.  My wife is IR! with her interview date next month 25Jan.  She went to do her medical and was told she needed a new passport before they would complete.  I do remember reading about this and yes it is needed even for medical.(6mo. before expire).  With all this extra stuff going on I kind of forgot about the passport expire issue.  So.. my question,  do I submit new passport to NVC?  We have been DQ'd and have left NVC and just waiting for interview.  Or,  Do we just bring the new passport along to the interview? Case complete and DQ'd at NVC, will they accept and forward new information ie: a new passport?

  8.   We have our interview date 25Jan.  I think i read somewhere that my wife will receive by post mail,  paperwork for medical and whatever else I cant seem to think of at the moment.  Would this be Packet 4?  or even Packet 3 for that matter.  Where do they come from?  Have I already done packet 3?  I just have some confusion on my end about this issue.

  9. Anyone ? 😰

    Link for reference below.

This is so absolutely confusing.  I had to create an account to register a delivery address for my wife.  I also need to do 2 more times for scheduling interviews for her 2 children.  I completed the first, then for the 2nd person it erases information and does not save from the first person after i have completed the 2nd.  I did get confirmation numbers for each individual.  When I log in to same account,  it pulls up last person i had completed and that person only.  I thought that was the purpose of the DS260 form(able to contact information).  Or is that just for NVC use and now trying to be transferred to interview i need to do again?

What is our hold up,  where to find what is holding up our process?

Until your CEAC status says READY the embassy does not have it. So call NVC and see if they know when ur embassy may start accepting petitions.

This really is not making any sense at all.  From what I understand is that Trump has allowed family based immigration to continue, and is stated on the US embassy in Bangkok website.  But, the NVC is saying that routine immigration is suspended until further notice, which seems to be including family based immigration.  But then I see other peoples post here that they are getting interviews.  Well mayb sometime this year we will get ours. 🙂

NVC does not schedule the interview appointments, the embassy does. So you will need to wait for the embassy to tell NVC when they have available dates.

    Also, NVC is not closed.

Your best best would be to contact your embassy. You might get lucky and they will give you a timeframe...

Message from the Bangkok Embassy below.

Also,  I am still waiting response from NVC to confirm.

The Bangkok Embassy is open for interviews as stated on their website.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Per our records, we currently do not have your case at our office.  You can use your case number to track your case status online at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

We have tracked your case using your provided case number; and the system shows, as of today, the case is still “AT NVC”.

Currently, all routine immigrant visa services are suspended until further notice.  Once we are able to resume operation, you will receive a new interview date by email from the NVC.

Thank you for your patience during this time.

    Regards,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

Our NVC expedite was approved last Monday, Aug 17 and the status is still showing "At NVC". I spoke to a NVC customer service representative yesterday who said there is no confirmed time frame of sending the case once its approved 😕 I'm getting anxious at this point because many people had their cases sent next day or so. Will you guys have any suggestions or is anyone in the same situation?

I have that exact same problem that i just found out.  We are IR1 going to Bangkok Embassy for interview.  The Bangkok embassy is open and doing limited interviews as has everyone has been talking about lately.  We have been waiting 8 weeks now just for an interview date.  Well its not going to happen.  NVC is closed.  The embassy in Bangkok may be open, but the NVC has suspended interviews for regular immigration services.(not scheduling interviews with the embassies). Sooo...we are stuck floating between agencies. Sounds like you may be as well. 😑

They will send your Interview Letter to your email. Is your embassy even open and conducting regular interviews?

We are going through the Bangkok embassy.  They say they are doing limited interviews and IR1 is on the list for those interviews.  So,  what you are saying is that I need to be checking emails and not our CEAC account?  Also,  I am the petitioner,  will they send the email to me as well, or will it just be sent to the applicant?  Thank you

  14. 6th week of waiting for interview date....IR1 & IR2 x 2.  Still waiting....

Oh question.  Will NVC post a message on the NVC account about the interview being scheduled? My last message from NVC was... All documents have been received and approved.
