    not sure if you know but anyone (even you or your girlfriend) can translate them as long as they sign an statement saying they are fluent in both languages. might save you some time and money if you were going to pay someone to do it.

    12 pages..$200. My wife can translate it no problem but she will worry its not correct which will get me worried so for me, its worth the 200 to pay to get it done.

    But yes,  you are definitely right about the time.. They are saying 1-2 weeks to get these translated. :o

    Thank you. She is on a non stop flight so we don't need to worry about any layovers. I had enough miles in my united account for a free flight so that saved a lot of money.

    We will make sure she has all the paperwork for her little demon of a dog ?

    United does want you to come real early to check in the dog and fill some paperwork to request the dog goes on the same flight but other then that you just got the basic stuff.

    big enough crate paperwork etc etc

      Now i do remember, my mother was traveling back and forth from China to visit my father working there and i remember saying that she able to get  like some sord of doggie valium so your pet will not stress out during flight.  Again,  am not sure about restrictions, and being that i work in Afghanistan, i just cant  go down to vet and ask about it.  But i do know that my mother did do this for her dog and that it was recommended to do so.. Mayb check with United.

    Yeah my wife has two dogs she's bringing and i am constantly trying to find info on this.

    She come from Europe and i am curious if shes allowed to check them in as luggage? She has a ticket with united and they have a pet program but there so vague on it all the time ><..

      I was reading that they will be checked in as over sized luggage and you will have to pay extra on over sized luggage either by weight or size depending on airline. Just make sure you have the paperwork complete and just check in with airline as normal. You do not have to schedule to bring over sized luggage.  They have special handlers just for the pets and are not allowed to touch or open the cages. If you have any layovers, you will need a Pet Transit Passport (is online and downloadable) for 9$.  Just check with layover country to make sure transit is acceptable.  I have not done this yet, but i do do alot of reading on it. Also I travel alot. And i will need to do this myself for my wife...woohoo cant wait to immigrate my crazy dog.  Hope this helps with some information you may need.

    Oddly, there are mini Thai communities set up in lots of the middle/bigger cities.   Some revolve around Thai restaurants and Temples.  We live in a medium size city (350k) and I thought there was no Thais in the area.   Took wife to a Thai reastaurant and turned out it was owed by Thais and had lots of Thai workers.  She now has lots of Thai friends.   Also, interestingly, many Asian stores may know.  There is an Asian store about .5 miles from our house and the Lao workers knew quite a few Thais.  Good luck.

    Yes,  i did forget about that.  Thank you to remind me.  We have been to the states before with her tourist visa.  The Thais were very happy to see her.  I have already located all the Thai restaurants and food stores in the area where we will move to. hehehehe.

    hi

    what is the question, since there is no problem, she has sole custody and she was never married, so she can take the kids out of the country, no need for father's signature since there is no dad

    There is no signature on the sole custody document from the Government Office.  She did explain to me that the Government Office made the decision to give her sole custody without the fathers consent.  This paper work is good for Thailand, just wondering if is good for the US as well?

  6. I am bring my Thai wife and 2 step children on an IR-1.  My wife has sole custody of her children according to her.  She was never legally married to bio father.  Also, she has a paper that says she has full rights to kids without bio fathers consent. Papers are required each term for schooling in Thailand which require mother and father.  This paper allows her to do so without the father. It is signed and registered at the local government office. It does not however have the bio fathers signature.  This is a difficult question for me to figure.

    Im petitioning my parents and nvc is asking for support. Im a working student and made about 12k last year(2016). My grandmother(my dads mom) will help me to meet the poverty level. We live both in the same address and just the two of us as well. Question is....is she going to fill-up i864 or i864a? Thanks

    (5)  (U) A sponsor may use the Form I-864-EZ in place of Form I-864 if he or she meets all of the following requirements:

    (a)  (U) The sponsor is the visa petitioner (who filed the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative);

    (b)  (U) The affidavit of support is filed on behalf of only one intending immigrant, who is the only person listed on the Form I-130;

    I am the petitioner On my I-130 I have put my APO address as being my address (this is because officially I live on the base).

    On my G-325a again I put my address as the APO, even when my home of record is Las Vegas. I did this because I do not want any address conflicts or confusion as to where I am currently based, being I am a contractor.

    I have 2 questions:

    1 on the G-325a QUESTION- this form is submitted in connection with an application:(NATURALIZATION, STATUS AS PERMANENT RESIDENT, OTHER,) I put Other I-130

    2 I put the same on my wife's G-325A, and she fills out bottom of form and signs and dates

    Once these documents are completed I will send to the U.S. Monday/Tuesday 17/18 October 2011

      I have read that the Address for the APO is for Mailing purposes only and once you are ready to move to to the US, you file a change of address with the USCIS and that will be forwarded to the VC to be added to your packet. Check out the thread on my profile under Proof of Domicile.

  9.    I have attached link below for the US.  You will also need to check your country export procedure.  Mostly just Micro chipped and vaccinated.  If you transit through another country you will need transit papers for that country.

    ie; We will travel from Thailand to US.  So, i need the export paperwork and vet paperwork in Thailand. We will Transit through Japan to go to the US.  Japan requires transit paperwork 9$. easy.  and then you reach the US which you just need to show all your paperwork.  Fairly simple.

    This think provides some fairly good information and you want to look for State based information and what is required.

    Hey guys we have handed in our CR1 visa and will hopefully be moving sometime later this year. My question is have you or anyone you've know flown their dog from overseas to America? We have enquried with a few pet transport companies but we are just wanting to hear some stories as we are both super anxious to put our baby on a plane for 13 hours.

    Please let me know how that works out for you. I need information on this topic as well.

    Thank you

  11.   yes... You should file separate i-130's for each and yes you will need to to pay for each i-130 form.  That seems to be he biggest cost i have seen so far is the first page.  Also, depending on how long you are married will determine if they will get IR or CR. More than 2 years, your spouse will get IR-1 and her Children will get IR-2.  Please note: if you want them to be permanent resident of US, you will need to do the i-130 form anyway.  if you are in not to much hurry to bring them, then for sure the i-130 form for IR/CR is the way to go instead of K-3.

      Am not sure about the payment of separate checks or a single check, but you do file all as a single packet. I have attached step by step guide to help you.  I have just started to bring my wife and her kids from Thailand so it has been alot alot of reading.

      To help you out:  Me and my wife wife have been married for 5 years.  We had no plans of returning to the US, but plans change.  I did get her a 10 Year tourist visa a couple of years ago. And from that experience,  i suggest you get everything the USCIS is asking for and nothing more ie;(try not to over think what they want). So, with that said. make a book of all your files. put section tabs to separate the information for the USCIS to find your information easily.  You do not want all your pages stuck together for the immigration officer to sit there and try to find a certain question he may have. Just make sure you have all the information required in your packet. Like you said its alot of information to read, but definitely worth it to be with your family.

    Good luck to you and your family
