Ok, thank you so much @masum I emailed them weeks ago but they are slow to reply, I will call them then as you suggest. Good luck.

email takes weeks to reply. Just call them and tell to send the cover sheet to your email. They will send you within two days.

I don't know. I would just try to call the nvc to see if you can have it corrected, other wise just explain it at the interview. I'm sure this confuses people all the time.

I called nvc and they said you can't edit once submitted. They will inform us if anything incorrect or I have to correct it at the interview.

If the spouse is a us citizen or LPR then the answe is "no" to the immigration with you question, and the subsequent question about immigrating later.

Immigrate = to come to live permanently

A us citizen or LPR is already living permanently in the us so they can not immigrate to the us. They would simply be traveling with their spouse (not immigrating).

This would be more appropriate if someone had petitioned a married couple such as their parents. Are they both immigrating together? Would one remain and immigrate later?

But I click Yes. Is it gonna cause any trouble

  4. Hello everyone,

I have lots confusion going around. Here the story....

    My case is F2A (spouse)

    *Got WL on (jun/21/1017)

    * DS-261 agent selected (jun/23/2017)

    * Paid AOS fee (july/01/2017)

*Paid IV fee on (july/17/2017) but it took 16days to get paid.

    * Submitted DS-260 on (Aug/01/2017)

Everything done but after that I checked DS-261 and noticed I didn't put applicant middle name with the given name. So I click edit and I was able to add my middle name there. Thats made me resubmit my DS-261.

Now I am worried because NVC already reviewed my DS-261 one month ago.

Is this going to creat any problem coz they will review my new DS-261 again.

    PLEASE REPLY....

Go back to the website with none of your add-ons or other software running in the background. Google : chrome or firefox safe mode.. that makes your browser like the first day you ever used it, temporarily.

try on another computer... There are too many variables that could be preventing this.

I have tried changing the browser and pc but still shows same problem

Note: This thread was started March 2017, this cover letter requirement could change, if in doubt, CALL the NVC or USCIS for instructions.

I just wanted to share some information so that nobody else gets all stressed out over these cover sheets the NVC talks about.

    There are TWO.

You will get 1 with your NVC Welcome letter, it will have an outline of documents for you to checkmark what you included, not included, and not relevant with your application of support.

You need this for your submission, but you also need this other one as well:

THE OTHER COVER LETTER IS IMPORTANT.

Because on this "cover letter"  that you would print out states on it that failure to do so will delay your case.

    Follow these instructions:

If your Document Cover Sheet is missing, you can print a new one online.

Go to ceac.state.gov and click on “Fee Payment” under the “Immigrantcategory. You will be asked to enter your NVC case number and Invoice ID number. After doing so, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on either “Print Document Cover Sheet” button. You can also choose to email yourself a copy of your document cover sheet for printing at a later time.

This an example of what this other cover sheet looks like:

    DOCUMENT COVER SHEET

The next step in the immigration process is for the
Petitioner to submit an Affidavit of Support. A link to the
instructions has been provided for you on the Receipt Page.
You can also find the instructions on the NVC website at
    http://nvc.state.gov

You MUST RETURN THIS COVER SHEET with the
Petitioner's completed forms and supporting documents.
Failure to do so will delay your visa(s).
Please attach this page to the front of the documents for
    this case and mail to:

    National Visa Center
    Attn. CMR AOS
    Address
    city, state 00001-2345

( I removed this address info, because I assume this might change on a case to case basis where to send your docs)

    Principal Applicant:
    LAST NAME, FIRST NAME

    YOUR NVC CASE NUMBER

    _BARCODE_

    visa type

As you can see, completely different than the NVC Welcome letter, cover sheet.

    Hi,

I can't print the cover sheet from ceac. When I try to print or send on email it always shows application error.

    What should i do now?

  8. Hello guys. I think I made a mistake when i filled DS260. There was a question in family information.

(Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you? And I answered YES)... But my spouse is my petitioner and she is in the USA. I am so worried and I cant change it now. Will I face any problem for this.

I too had sent an email to asknvc well over a week ago without much luck. (I have been waiting since 11th).

Just got off the phone talking to NVC and have been told that CEAC website is down again (Update functionality), and that not much can be done until it is resolved. (Even though one is able to view the web page(s)).

It seems the website is not under NVC's control (from an information update and/or maintenance perspective), and hence an ETA of the fix cannot be provided. Sadly, the only option for those of us that is stuck with this issue is to just hope and pray. (Even though NVC receives our email complaints with the documented issue they will be unable to act on it for the above reason - I am told).

Can anyone else impacted by this issue please call and report back here to see if we are hearing the same?

    Thanks.

Just call the NVC and they told me they having problem for so many payment. They gave an email and told me send them an email with the bank statement. But i think it won't help because their payment system is too slow. We might have to wait couple of days.

If you haven't visited the UK after you got your latest PCC, then I believe you don't need a new one. A PCC is supposed to cover the entire time period that the applicant was in the country. So, if you haven't been back there, then the last PCC has the correct and latest information. But, of course, that's up to the NVC or Embassy to decide. Like I said before, the rule of thumb is to assume that PCCs expire after 1 year. You may want to contact the NVC/Embassy whoever is currently processing your case to confirm that your last PCC is acceptable.

    Thanks for your answer
