  1. Guys, a quick update.  I went to the Embassy in Bangkok for my interview this morning.  My appointment date from NVC was 11 October but after I have completed collecting my document and medical check up, I sent an email to my local Embassy asking if they could move the interview appointment forward in case they have space and I received the reply within the same day to change my appointment to 28th September (this morning).

My appointment was at 8am and I arrived around 7.20am.  I went to a window for IV applicants. The lady there asked for the following:

    1) original police certificate

    2) any documents/photos to show relationship between me and my husband

    3) original birth certificate

    4) original certificate

    5) any tax document of my husband

6)all my passports, current and old ones

After the documents were reviewed, I was asked briefly about my relationship with my husband.

    1) how we met

    2) how long we talked before meeting in person (we have mutual friends on facebook so we chat for a couple weeks before I decided to meet him in person)

    3) how long have we known each other before getting married

    4) how long have we been married

    5) if I have lived anywhere outside my country more than 1 year

    6) if we have any children

Then I was asked to wait for the interview with the consular. I got to meet him at around 8.45am. He said hello and returned original documents I submitted back to me and asked me to raise my right hand and swear that everything in my application is all true. Then he asked me to scan finger print and told me that my visa is approved and I should get my passport back in about 2 weeks.

    My CC was 23 August.

    Cheers!

  3. Guys! I just check on CEAC and it says 'At NVC' and the AOS line disappeared. I guess I just got case completed today. I asked my husband to call NVC when he wakes up tomorrow morning to reconfirm.

I am so over the moon now.  By the way, what's next??? lol  book my medical check up and then wait for interview date?

PS: my scan date was 22 June and my cc date is... 23 August.

It does! I was hopeful that they would speed through June faster. But who knows maybe they will! Afterall we only have a small percentage of the cases they receive daily and scan dates on our forums..

    Good luck!

Does not stop me from checking the website 30 times a day with high hope.....  LOL

I really hope the CC news gets moving again on this tread.

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

If you haven't received anything yet, wishing you luck!! looks like they're def processing faster!!! Seeing CC's from 6-7 weeks!! that's fantastic!!! For April scan dates, the average was 9 weeks.. Earliest being 8-9 weeks..

Me: been checking on CEAC every 20 minutes for the last 3 hours... nope, I am not obsessed at all !! LOL

Apparently, they are. Found that response in a different thread, seems like there was something wrong with their fee processing system.

Thanks!  Hope they find a way to fix it soon.  It is super frustrating indeed...

By the way, not only I gave transaction id over the phone, I also sent an email to them with all evidences I have available with hope that it would help them track my payment faster. I will give it a few more days and call NVC again at the end of this week if this issue is not solved.

  7. I had paid AOS fee on 6th June and 2 days later I saw that IV fee is available to pay so I paid (at that time, AOS fee status was 'in process').  Last Friday, I found that the IV fee status is showed as 'not paid'.  I have the receipt for IV fee that I paid on 8th June.  The bank account shows that both transactions went through.  I called the NVC a couple of times but nothing has happened so far.  The phone operator said she has sent information to the supervisor to investigate and nothing they can do for now.

Anyone experienced this issue? Should I be worried? Will it delay the procedure even more?

Its nice to know that you did visit your husband with a pending i-130. I think you could still visit if you are able to convince the Immigration officers about the intent of your stay/visit. Nebraska is way behind processing at Jun 29(as of today on VJ). Unless you are from Philippines.

Just curious to know what were the questions from the Immigration Officer during your visits?

    Hi Chamma,

Thank you. I really hope so. Every trip I made, I was nervous the whole journey. I am from Thailand (imagine, 26 hours on the flight thinking if the immigration will let me in or send me back home).

The last 2 times, they asked general questions:

    - What is the purpose of your visit (the first time I said 'holiday', and the second time I said 'visiting family')

    - Have you visited The US before? (yes)

    - How long do you intend to stay in The US this time (6 weeks)

    - What do you do for living? (I replied that I am an employee.)

    - How much money do you bring with you (this was asked on my first trip)

    - When was the last time you were in The US (I gave the month/year of my previous trip)

    - Why are you back again so soon (this was asked on my second trip, and I answered 'to visit my family')

I cannot remember if there were any other questions...

  9. Hi guys,

My husband has filed I-130 since October 2016 and we are still waiting for NOA2. Since then, I visited my husband twice and each time was about 6 weeks (I was 6 weeks outside The US between those 2 trips).  I do not expect the NOA2 for at least a couple more months given how slow Nebraska Center is.  I want to visit my husband again for the third time. I want to stay about 6 weeks again and by then, if I am lucky enough, I might get NOA2 and fly back to process NCV in my country.Do you think the immigration will let me in easily?
