  1. We had our interview yesterday feb 15th. Everything went well it was a very short and stress free interview. The IO never told us if we were approved or not however few hours after the interview was over our case was updated online to 'new card being produced'

so i guess we were approved on the spot. We are so grateful that this part is finally done and over with at least for now

    Goodluck to everyone

    Good morning, and congratulations!

I haven't really even been checking the occasional email notifications I've been receiving over the past few months, but chose to read yours.

Just checked on the app and my interview has also been scheduled for early next month! Joy of joys!

Now to read up on interview experiences in my area and update my wife and I's folder of evidence of our ongoing relationship (sounds weird wording it that way). Thank you for inadvertently having me check on my status.

Good luck to all those still waiting.

I stopped checking my emails and updates as well. I just happened to stumble on the app yesterday and there it was “interview scheduled”.

This is a very long and tiring process and I wish for it to be over already. At least our interviews are scheduled.

Congratulations to you and goodluck on your interview.

Please do keep us updated on how your interview goes as yours is 3 days before mine

Congratulations! Btw, did you raise any Service Request or Expedite Request for your EAD? Thank you.

No I did not expedite request as I didn't qualify.

However I did put in a service request on Monday. I got a reply saying my case was not going to be processed until July 22nd. I just gave up after that reply

to my surprise I got an update yesterday saying my new card was being produced. Shocker 😮

You'll have the AP validity statement included on the bottom of your EAD.

I'm still concerned because I had an approval notice for my AP but haven't had any update on my EAD. I can't find any other instances of it happening this way around.

Didn't know the AP was also included in the statement.

for your case I think you should call USCIS and speak to someone. Maybe they updated your AP status by mistake instead of your EAD

  5. I actually registered my fiancé in one of those online CCNA certification courses. That pretty much takes up much of his time while I'm at work. Before he moved to America I always reminded him that for at least 3 months or more he won't be able to work. Either way they are all eventually gonna get bored. So I got a PlayStation 4 game for him because African men love the FIFA soccer ⚽️ video game.

thank you so much for the response.i am relieved.I just worried my fiance for nothing

Our case was expired way before we had our interview as well.. my fiancé still got his visa with no issues.. that expiration pretty much doesn't mean anything as long as your packet is with the consulate at the embassy. So you will be fine

Its been 3 months since the petitioner received a notification from the embassy that they ll call me for the interview and i ve not heard from the embassy .....and am a bit worried!!

    Thanks

I'll suggest you should ask people from your country that were able to scheduled their own interviews themselves and take notes of the process they went through. There's no reason why you should keep waiting if there's a possibility of being able to schedule your own interview.

  8. For my fiances interview I separated the paper works into 3 different folders for him.

folder 1 had the paperworks they were definitely going to need like my affidavit, his medicals, police reports, birth certificate, appointment letter, DS 160 form

2nd folder had paper work on evidence of our on going relationships because the last time I visited my fiancé was in 2015. So this folder contained face time screen shot pictures, whats app and BBM messages, text messages, call logs,

3rd folder had miscellaneous paper works like emails the embassy had sent me, and all our notification receipt from the filing

this worked in our favor because when he went for his interview he was so organized and they only asked for paperwork from the very  first folder only. The consulate even commended him on  how organized he was ??

  9. Difference in religion is not a big deal. Especially in this day and age.. however immigration list it as a red flag.. I doubt they deny people based on religion. Like shola said this is 2017. so you'll be fine.
