Keeping the passport is generally a good thing.  But if they said several weeks, and it only has been 2 weeks, no need to get nervous.  Wait till late January and then have your USC fiance enquire.

No, this is pretty typical. There's nothing to worry about from what I see. They're pretty busy this time of the year, and lots of people are out for vacations and holidays, so I would expect it to take a little longer than normal. Just keep waiting.

At this point, there's not a whole lot you can do but wait. I'm assuming that through your application and interview, the pregnancy was a part of the documentation showing your genuine relationship? They have all the information at this point. Taking the passport was a great sign, and that "administrative processing" at the end can just take some time. You're almost there!!
