I wanted to have this and the other two posts moved to off topic asap. The K1 forum can be a bit oversensitive, so I had it immediately moved it to this forum. Wink. Sorry if you thought I was hijacking the thread Y and A, but listen, the thread was going nowhere in the K1 forum. There were already way too many flames on the thread before I arrived, and I think people got the point that she would have to go back home. I didn't feel bad changing the subject (or hijacking it) because everyone one made their points already. Peace

Remember, we might criticize this woman for finding another man while she's in the US, but we should equally criticize those men/woman that constantly shop for woman overseas and then drop them like a bad habit at the first sign of trouble. Not saying that anyone on VJ goes shopping, so dont take that wrong please!

Simply amazing. Perhaps if there were more social ostracism to divorce, the US would NOT have a whopping 66%+ national divorce rate? You make another good point about the incredible divorce rate in this country. Perhaps if there were less divorces and less single mothers and fathers, then we wouldn't have nearly as many problems with the crime rate amongst our youths (particulary inner city) in this country. It's a fact that a child that comes from a stable house with a mother and father raising them in a sensible manner is much more likely to succeed in life than one that had to rely on just a mother or father. All in all, that was a very poorly written story that left out a lot of details. There could be a million reasons why they were told to move to the back. It seems like every time something bad happens to an African American it's branded racism -- listen, sometimes it's just life. You can bet your fat arses that if it were a black bus driver sending white kids to the back, then you wouldn't be sitting here wasting your time reading this thread, but instead out doing something useful with yourself like getting that lawn mowed or golfing. On the other hand, it's very possible that this bus driver is a rotten piece of white trailer toenail trash that should be hung until death. But for right now, let's just sit back and read some interesting statistics.....

With all due respect Ana and Dan...but do you have ANY idea of the rate of teen pregnancies in this country???? And I can just about guarantee you these girls getting pregnant are at least 17...some much younger.
Take a tour of some local high schools one day...you might be surprised. I'd wager that some have more than one child too...contrary to what some may believe.
KarenCee, I honestly have no idea how many girls in high school are walking around pregnant. Must be great business for planned parenthood.
What percentage of those teenage girls do you think are impregnated by men 27 and above though? Because that's the real issue here, not teen on teen pregnancies.
My friend Brianna is a nurse at the local hospital here. She just helped to deliver twins to a 14 year old. Her (the teen's) second time being in the delivery room, by the way. So, she's 14 and has 3 kids. It wasn't "odd" enough to warrant more than a casual mention from Bri. I'm from the "country" of Indiana.
In Indianapolis, try something closer to 10-20% of under-18 girls having kids.
The statewide teen pregnancy rate and rank for Indiana is:
Indiana Rate (of all births, per 1000) 73 State Rank 20
That's 7.3% for the entire state. Of all births, 7.3% are to teens. My area is higher.
North Dakota has the lowest rate, by the way.... 4.2%
Nevada has the highest rate with 11.3% of all births being by teens.
Fine, but by no means a LARGE percentage. In my particular city (Bellevue, WA) it's much much less.

I think you are incorrect. It is illegal. It's also illegal for an adult United States citizen to go overseas and have sex with minors. USC's. if caught will be dragged back to the U.S., and charged. There have been a number of cases of this happening, and many americans in prison for taking part in the sex tourism with kiddies industry...here's just one of MANY examples of one sick 57 year old ####### that had sex with underage boys.....oh and jeez, it just HAPPENS to be an article from the DOHS. The immigrants, mostly from Western Africa, would pay as much as $6,000 to be introduced to their "spouse," usually on the day of the marriage.
I wonder how they were getting away with it though. They must have had a lot of forged documentation and pictures. Unless they used the old "I can't meet him/her in person do to religous reasons" excuse.
Very sad either way and probably means more scrutiny for the rest of us.
