My husband took my last name when we were married. I never thought I might change my name - I like my name, I identify with it, and my mother never changed her name. It wasn't important to me to have the same name as my husband, and it would have been alright to give our future children his surname. But he liked my name and was keen to take it, so he did. And it's cool.

Cool, a list! I guess we ought to be on that.

That employment-based AOS fiasco doesn't really involve us, but it's pretty bad. USCIS said there were a bunch of numbers available, so everyone spent the money to file and hire lawyers and stuff, then USCIS revised the numbers and all these people were summarily rejected.

Hey, ours was touched again today too. There was a change of status (to pending at CSC) on July 2nd, then touches every day since then. It could be something good or it could be a coffee spill, but it's nice to see that date changing.
-
Hi June filers! I bet you'll start to see CSC transfers soon.
-
We got a touch today too. Happy 4th!
-
AOS case got touched yesterday and we received the "now pending at CSC" email. So yay for that.
-
Congrats BB. You're everyone's idol now.
-
I AM happy for everyone and their touches...
However, I'm frustrated that we haven't been transferred) or even touched since biometrics.
We mailed out my husband's paperwork on May 1st.
I wish that we knew something...
Poor kids.
Something soon for you, hopefully!

We got the email late last night (6/25) - AOS transfer to CSC. Yay.
-
Yay, AOS + EAD touched today.

Biometrics went fine yesterday. No post-bio touches yet!

Hubby got his Indiana driver's license yesterday with no trouble at all. He did just fine on the test, and they didn't ask any questions at all about his immigration status or demand to see any identification besides his learner's permit and car registration. They even asked if he wanted to register to vote.

People who got W2 + 1099 RFE - did you initially send tax returns or tax transcripts?
-
Regarding driver's licenses - My husband came here on a K1, and got both his SSN and his Indiana learner's permit before we were married. The learner's permit definitely didn't expire with his I-94. I can't remember the exact expiry date, but it's something like a year or two from the date of issue. He changed his name when we got married and got his SSN and LP updated with no trouble.
He'll be testing for his driver's license in a couple weeks, so we'll see if things are different. Getting the learner's permit was pretty easy, though.
He never drove back in England, but he played lots of video games, so it really was pretty easy to teach him to drive. He parks crooked, though.

Hola! Our biometrics is scheduled for June 21.
I presume you're going to the Indy USCIS office? Remember to take $5 with you cos that's what they charge you for parking there! Rip-off!
Hilarious. Thanks for the heads up. I'm still deciding whether I should send Pigu (who will be newly licensed to drive at that point) up there on his own, or if I should take the afternoon off work and go with him. Probably the latter.

Congratulations!

Hey, do we get the biometric appointment details only in the mail, or is there an email / website update with that information?
It only comes in the mail...
I'm feeling the irrational fear about not getting the notice in time! Oh man, it's started.

That's a lot of people touched on Sunday. The coffee spill must have been epic.
-
We got touched Sunday too, both AOS and EAD. It'll be something pretty preliminary and minor for us, maybe biometrics or something.
-
ASC Code on the NOA1s means the type of biometrics you'll need. IIRC, 2 is something like photo and one fingerprint, 3 is that plus complete fingerprints, or something.
Our checks were cashed last week and both cases touched on May 29 and June 3 (a Sunday #######).

I didn't put it in my signature, but I also got touched every day for about four days after I got the pending at CSC email.
