After months of being apart my fiancé has arrived in the US.  The Atlanta airport is quite busy so the line for US Customs was incredibly long took him over 3 hours to get through.  When he finally got to an agent the conversation lasted 2 mins, they  explained the rules of the K1 visa: 90 days to get married, no international travel until the AOS is completed.

i was terrified while waited since his phone died I had no way to reach him but luckily some others had families on the immigration visa line and they let me know that the line was quite long.

With that said, I just wanted to send a giant thank you to everyone that answered any questions, you provided me with so much support during this trying time.

I wish you all the best during the rest of this process and a wonderful marriage.

Thank you for the information Stephanie!! We will be coming through in July and I am now so thankful I booked a five hour layover in Atlanta as I thought it might be this way!  I wish the very best of luck and many years of happiness to you and your fiance!

  2. We are nearing the end now (hopefully!) my fiance had his medical on Wednesday and all went well and has scheduled his interview at the embassy week after next! We are hoping we have all in order and the process will go smoothly at the American Embassy in London.  Any reviews, feedback, suggestions and prayers would be greatly appreciated! And congratulations to all those in this group that now have K-1 visas in hand and I am sending prayers for swift approval for all those still waiting. Thank you to all for your wisdom, experience and encouragement!

We just scheduled our visa interview!  Montreal has the reputation of being backed up for 2-6 months, but we were able to schedule our interview for the end of April!  Sending love to all of you who are still waiting.  Things really do move quickly after NOA2.

Hello and congratulations! How did you get notification that your case had arrived at the NVC? we have an NOA2 notice of 2/23/17 and have yet to hear from the NVC. Just curious and thank you for a reply.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! and to all others who have gotten approval . We are in our zen state of waiting as no amount of worry will speed up the process. At this point, no news is good news that means no RFEs.  Have a great day everyone!!

  5. Well we are still waiting with many other November filers. I can now see cases after us getting approved but we have had no RFEs so that's a good thing. Still trying to stay positive and hopeful!  I won't make an official inquiry yet as it has not been long enough yet, Our NOA1 received date is 11/23/16. Good luck to everyone and congrats to those approved!
