Frank How are you. I got the New GC thanks for all the info you gave me and made me feel better. Couple of things I got the Old Design Only  and It Never Updated in the USCIS website still today but I received by Mail. Now Next Step would be citizenship

At times their online case status is unreliable :/

congratulations! And that's what this forum is for to share your experience and help others on the way. I hope you do the same for someone who is going to go through the same as you did. We all get anxious and the wait is the worst part of this process... having someone telling you it's normal and that they waited long too kind of gives you a peace of mind.

OK Frank Card Was Mailed on Friday so Three Days Will be Tuesday or Wednesday I will check on it. Sorry I know I am bit impatient after all waiting over a year you can understand the anxiety thanks

I understand it first hand. But you already know you got approved. I think that's the worse part not knowing what they will decide. In your case you are blessed to know that they indeed approved your case.

I have created a profile in USPS and I did have alerts setup in USCIS . Do you Think I can request USPS to send my G Card to my work Address because both me and my spouse are working and our mail box is not locked and its an apartment. My Spouse is little worried thinking may be they will ask for again interview? Frank Can You pls tell me will that be the case even after getting approval thanks thats all I have to ask I will keep you posted after I get updates on my profile

    Thanks

You should call your local usps office and explain your situation to them, they might be able to have you pick it up. You'd have to check with them. I guess it all depends on what their policy says. If they wanted an interview they would not have sent you an approval letter. I think once you are approved, it means exactly that. You are APPROVED. On another note if you are a legitimate couple you have nothing to worry about. In my opinion you just need to be patient.

  5. I received the new design.

After the approval letter mine took about a week. I was actually amazed by how fast it was.

As far as usps goes, I believe you can create an account and they will let you know when a package from uscis is on your way. As for myself I never tracked it or anything I simply waited and it was delivered to my attorney. She got it on a Friday and scheduled me to come in on the following Monday to pick it up.

i do not mind helping friend, there are others that have helped me here. I am glad I can be of some assistance and I hope I helped you by sharing my experience.

*** also I signed up for automatic updates through text/email on the uscis website*** as soon as your case is updated it will trigger alerts.

  6. https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

case status enter your receipt # and that's it.

i do not think it changes, it stays the same throughout the whole process mine was a MSC.

I believe once you are approved there is no need for another interview. Maybe later on for ROC if you are getting a 2 year conditional gc or when you file for citizenship, but other than that you should be fine.

*** my advice is just based on my own experience ***

Nothing too much to see here, just a big thank you to everyone for your help. The information posted on this site kept me and my husband level-headed throughout the entire visa process. Today, my husband received his green card, issued exactly 1 year after our wedding. He was able to get his status adjusted w/o interview, and until receiving the green card in the mail, we hadn't heard anything after submitting documents almost a year ago for an RFIE.

Now - 2 years breathing room until he renews :)

    Congratulations to you both!

The I-601A waiver allows the ban due to unlawful presence to be (provisionally) waived. You cannot AOS if you entered without inspection - you must leave and re-enter legally (either 1) interview for a visa abroad, or 2) utilize AP if available and obtained).

I see, thanks for the info on the waiver.

  10. We waited for 9 months for our I-130 to be approved. And my status still shows online as case received...

you can always call the 800/ number and they will check to see if you are out of processing time if indeed you are they will help you create a SR (service request) which is basically an email to the officers to let them know you are inquiring about your case. I'd suggest you be as proactive as you can be. Good luck to you!

  11. I want to thank everyone that helped answering my questions on this forum. We filed a family based petition based on marriage to a us citizen August 2016, and thank god we had a positive outcome. We received my gc about a month ago. And I just wanted to thank all the real couples for sharing their experiences to help those who are embarking on this immigration journey.

I am more than willing to help anyone with any ?'s they have based on my experience only. I am no lawyer but willing to share my little knowledge.
