Called NVC today and they received our case and established our case number! But when I go and check the status of the case it says "Your search did not return any data"? Is this because it hasn't left NVC yet? (The woman on the phone told me it was still at NVC) Im confused. hahah

Update on current processing at NVC
 
I called yesterday afternoon around lunch EST and they had received it from USCIS yesterday morning. Called back today and they had processed it yesterday afternoon and issued the embassy number.
 
looks like NVC is currently moving quick once it gets away from USCIS.

Called NVS today (11 days from NOA2) and they still have not received ours. Staying positive though!! I feel a little crazy being one of those people who calls everyday but it looks like that will be me hahah.

(603) 334-0888 for non-immigrant visa inquiries,  (603) 334-0700 for immigrant visa. But K1 is so-called dual intention visa and can be referred to both, I guess.
 
Thank you again, I will tell my fiance to try again and use all his patience, lol. 

I called Wednesday morning (I am in California). I was put on hold for only 20 min or so. I heard right when they open, and around when they are closing is their best times to call. 

i started calling 10 days after the app showed i was approved,13th day they had received the case,next day they issued a new case number.

This 6 weeks thing she said is not true, because I know of a lot of people(many on this forum itself) who got the case number from NVC within 10-12 days. Thing is California to NVC itself takes some time (east n west coast) and add the processing time to this. From whateverI've seen in recent past, call NVC 8-10 days from NOA2. And hopefully you have the case number within 3 weeks. (i hope thats the max)

So I have been reading a lot of mixed things when it comes to the appropriate time to wait until calling NVS after receiving your NOA2. Lots of people said they waited a few weeks (way to antsy to do that) while others said they called everyday starting the day after receiving their NOA2. So I waited a week and tried calling today and they didn't have my number yet, and the woman said "we wont dont receive or process cases until 6 weeks after your NOA2 date"....oops. But part of me feels like thats just something they have to say and hopefully it will be ready within the next week?
 
Anyone who has gotten their approval given NVC a call yet? What is the general time people have been waiting in the last few months, does anyone know?

We got our NOA2 on Jan 25th. I was alerted by the USCIS app, and also checked our receipt number through the USCIS website (Just to make sure  ) But we still have not received a text and or an email. Is this normal? Hopefully the hard copy will come sometime this week! 
 
Should I be concerned that no email has come through yet?

Yes, definitely going to be very persistent with NVC. Hopefully things go quickly once they reach Kenya. But the US embassy in Nairobi, Kenya is the only embassy that processes K1's in all of East Africa. So lots of competition and back log when it comes to getting and interview date :/
