    Hi friends,

    Just wanted to know if this is normal.My attourney had sent the ds230 forms and the affidavit of support papers about 2 weeks ago,now when i check on the automated voice machine is says that they recieved the biographic details but are still waiting for the AOS papers.

    does nvc process these papers seperately and enter AOS after they review them or they acknowledge they immediately???

    please clear this doubt of mine,

    I feel u should get married in canada cause if she comes to the usa and gets married u may have problems with ur petition cause ur wife entered usa on a visit visa with the intent to get married.

    im sure u will get a k3 or cr1 visa within a year

    It is not illegal to enter the US to marry, nor does it cause problems with the petition. There is no intent issues with getting married.....only an issue if there is intent to immigrate.

    Ok i sure ur right about that but i assumed that if she married in the usa and didnt go back to canada doesnt that mean intent to immigrate?? on a visit visa.

    i may be wrong sorry i dont mean to mislead anyone.

    Hi Tracy,

    well as per my observations if all ur documentations are filled properly u should get ur approval this month even may be next tuesday or the one after that, as Laura had said from her call to a friendly immiration officer that uscis has to send some kind of notice after 30 days from recieving the RFE.So u seem to be really close keep ur fingers crossed.

    My wife got approved today!!! i'm so happy i could cry. we filed in ecuador, so her interview was in the Guayaquil consulate. She said everything went well, they just made her wait almost 5 hours, barely asked her any questions, and spent most of the time reviewing the papers. Please don't hesitate to ask us questions. Thank the lord!!

    Hi friends,

    I had called the NVC and checked on the automated voice service and it said that they had recieved our biographic forms.Does that mean the DS230 ??? cause then i think im close to a complete case.

    O yes the affidavit of support is yet not recieved which my wife had completed about 2 weeks back with our attourney.

    so as per VJ time lines how long do you think will it take for the case to get completed and have an interview once the AOS is recieved by NVC?

    And as far as the inteview date is concerned we dont need to wait at all cause there are no applications at all altease none on VJ .

    :( This waiting game is driving me insane..I have not seen my fiance in 4 month and I dont see the end of the road on this!!! waiting since march is not fair for anybody we are doing it the legal way and this is how we get paid!! Good luck to everyone hope we see some approvals soon I need be able to sleep again...

    WHY ARE WE YELLING

    She is not yelling, She is in Vietnam, I am familiar with how computers work in other countries. Windows when installed in other regions especially Asia have keyboard mode that allows native characters to be displayed when typing. Lower case generates the native characters, but when type capitals then will display english characters.

    I can tell my fiance is in that mode when chatting and sometimes she types all caps instead of switching the chinese mode off on her computer.

    Wow, really? This site is so educational. I often wondered why someone would type all caps, aside from yelling. Thanks for the tip.

    I have a question about Packet 3. I know I'm not there yet but I wanted to find an answer just so I can stop worrying. I was on a TN (Trade NAFTA) Visa going to the US to work (from Canada) and I met my husband in the States, fell in love, got married in Canada.

    When I tried to cross the border with my husband after our wedding, they said I could not enter and took my TN Visa away from me and told me that I have to go through the I-130 and the K-3 process. (Which we already have)

    On the I-156, there is a question #35: Has your US Visa ever been cancelled or revoked?

    I guess it would be 'yes' for me?? Is that going to cause any major problems when I'm submitting my packet 3???

    Can anyone help me?

    I DONT THINK THAT IT WOULD MAKE ANY PROBLEN AT ALL THAT UR VISA WAS CANCELLED.ITS JUST THAT THEY WANT YOU TO ENTER THE COUNTRY WITH A SPOUSE VISA AND NOT ON ANY OTHER VISA SINCE UR NOW MARRIED TO AN AMERICAN.

    I am still waiting for my IMBRA RFE and was wondering if there are other K3 applicants who are waiting as well. If you are, would you please let me know?

    My I-129F recieve date was May 4, 2006 and I haven't heard back from them.

    E-mail notifications from USCIS/NVC

    Hi, everyone. Congratulations to those who have been surprised by fast I-129F approvals lately. It's energizing to see so many people moving forward!

    I have a question about e-mail notifications. I have seen posts where VJers say they have recieved e-mails about their cases. I didn't see a place on the I-130 form where I could write in my e-mail address, though I did on the I-129F. So for the K-3, there are apparently some things that I will in fact be informed of via e-mail.

    1. What exactly will those things be, and who will they be from?

    2. Are e-mails always followed up by paper notices, or will there be some things that will only be communicated electronically?

    YOU NEED TO REGISTER URSELF ON THE USCIS WEBSITE AND ADD UR K3 CASE NUMBER AND THERE IS AN OPTION WHERE THEY WILL ASK U OF U WANT TO ACTIVATE THE EMAIL NOTIFICATION SO YOU CAN TAG IT AS YES.

    FROM THERE U CAN LOG IN EVERYTIME U WANT TO CHECK UR CASE STATUS AND SEE HOW MANY TIMES UR CASE HAS BEEN TOUCHED.

    HI,

    COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ON WHAT NUMBER CAN I CALL USCIS FOR MY PENDING K3 APPLICATION I HAD GOT MY NOA1 ON 04/20/2006 BUT SINCE THEN NO NOA2.

    THEY RECIEVED MY RFE ON 7/29/06 ITS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH NOW BUT NOTHING.

    I TRIED THE 1-800 NUMBER BUT IT DOESNT CONNECT FROM HERE SINCE IM CALLING OUT OF THE UNITED STATES IS THERE ANY OTHER NUMBER ?

    AND WHICH DAY IS BEST TO CALL THEM CAUSE IM NOT SURE IF THEY ARE WORKING ON WEEKENDS

    PLEASE TELL ME AS PER THE VJ TIMELINES WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY NOA2????

    I dare say to sit tight...it's a little too soon to be stressing yourself out with trying to reach someone at the USCIS. Still, the waiting is hard :clock: , we all know.     That would depend on variables such as the backlog due to IMBRA and if the petition is undergoing background/security checks which may be holding things up.

    As you are now into the NVC process with the I-130 for the CR-1, it is more beneficial at this stage IMO to be continuing this path as when the I-129F is approved there is more then likely going to be little time difference between the two visas, and afterall the CR-1 is the biggie that comes with all the benefits.

    I GUESS ALL THAT I CAN DO IS WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT TILL I HEAR SOMETHING FROM THEM

    OR WAIT FOR MY CASE TO BE COMPLETED FROM NVC FOR MY CR1 AND GET AN INTERVIEW SOON

    REALLY WANT TO BE WITH MY WIFE ASAP
