    best of luck in ur journey hope all goes well.

    just one thing i noticed which i think you should check out ,your timeline says u recieved ur police clearence in march dont you think its too early to get one.i think it is valid for 3 to 6 months max.

    please find out if u can use that police clearence dated march.

    Case forwarded to embassy

    Hi friends,

    just wanted you all to know that i just spoke to an operator and she said that the case has been forwarded to the embassy in the 14th of sept.noa2 on 5th of sept just for ur info.

    Congrats Bombay!!! Just so you know, I was told too that our case had just been transferred to the Embassy on the 5th of Sept. as well...Guess what?! That was wrong....that was the day that the Embassy put it into their system as being received!!! Sept. 11th our packet 3 was mailed out. So hopefully, that will be the case for you as well...won't be long now though that you receive your packet 3...GOod Luck!!

    Welcome to the ME/NA Forum, Bombay !

    I think you are our first member processing through Oman... not sure if Muscat has a reputation of being fast or slow. It usually takes at least a couple of weeks for your file to be "officially" received and then they do some office processing. But you will probably see your packet within a few weeks.

    Oman is a beautiful and fascinating country -- I have a good friend in Salalah who sends me amazing pics.

    Hi friends,

    Im so happy finally after a long wait my case is sent to the embassy.My case was approved on 09/05/06 for the k3 just for ur info.

    how long will it take now to get packet 3?

    Congratulations! So did NVC forward your K-3 case to the Embassy? Good Luck. Someone who dealt with consulates in India can answer your question regarding packet 3.

    Yes NVC has forwarded the case to the embassy.And its the embassy in OMAN(muscat) i dont know how someone who dealt with consulates in india can answere me about the packet 3 as im not applying from india.anyway thanks .

    No the ds230 and the aos forms were sent together.the voice machine says it recieved the biographic details but are still waiting for the aos papers.

    im really confused what to do.my attourney says they have sent both together in one package and may be they process the aos seperately.i dont think this was a rfe it was a normal aos request.

    Why were the forms sent seperately? If they were sent as a result of a RFE did the lawyer send that RFE letter also? Are you sure the lawyer mailed the documents when he/she said they did? I have never know them to acknowledge every piece of paper. I know they do acknowledge the RFE if they are sent back.

    Hi friends,

    Just wanted to know if this is normal.My attourney had sent the ds230 forms and the affidavit of support papers about 2 weeks ago,now when i check on the automated voice machine is says that they recieved the biographic details but are still waiting for the AOS papers.

    does nvc process these papers seperately and enter AOS after they review them or they acknowledge they immediately???

    please clear this doubt of mine,
