Did your new step-dad marry your mom before you turned 18?

If so, no issues sponsoring all of them.

But - if they re-married after you turned 18, you cannot sponsor the Step-dad.

Yes ur right they live in india and i live in san diego and what i mean by sponsor is to petition them for an immigrant visa(green card).

I had a question im a US citizen and am intreasted in sponsering my parents but its a bit complicated.

My parents got divorced a long time ago, my mom got married again but my dad is still single, now my question is

that can i sponser my dad and my mom and my step dad also?

Does anyone have any idea about such a case if its even possible or i will be only allowed to sponser my biological parents?

It says u have to carry ur greencard always but its ok if u have a state id or a drivers licence

you have to carry it for sure if ur travelling to mexico or canada cause when u come back into the states

you will have to have ur passport and green card to enter, a drivers licence wont do anymore.

otherwise if ur in the country noone askes for it.

if u can get ur greencard great but if u think it can be a problem the guess what????

join the military like in the navy u will be ok and you will have a place to live make a decent income and stay away from your husband also and file for divorce.

And once ur in the military you dont have to wait nomatter what status ur on everyone in the military is eligible for citizenship.

In my case i joined the military and chose the same place where i lived before joining to be stationed so that i could stay with my wife and we are very happy together thank god.

I got my citizenship in 2 months from the time i applied .

All i can say is this looks like a MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE ,

the guy wanted someone who would be like his slave and just stay home and work and clean dishes

the girl accepted the deal for her ticket to the US thinking that would probably be what she would have to do

but in the end it turned out to be that she gambled on the wrong guy and in her early post she is worried about her next petition

and since this didnt work out she will do it again and somehow fulfill her american dream.

It sounds really harsh but if anyone ever goes on yahoo in a chatroom there will be a million messages from such women who are intreasted in you cause ur profile says UNITED STATES and in a few minutes the girl will ask will you marry me .

She has not even seen ur picture for gods sake and wants to get maried in chatting with you for 5 minutes.

Because of such people, the people who are actually in love have to suffer the long wait and have to produce so much paperwork cause there are thousands of applications where love has nothing to do with their marriage.

once again im sorry for saying all this but it is the truth. as far as the girl is concerned i really feel sorry for her also that the marriage didnt work out but i think she should be safe and alive away from that guy in this country or go back home and start a new and happy life.

Very sorry to hear about this situation.But you know what im really sorry to say that MOST OF ALL i again say most of all NOT ALL of these women from the philipines and some other countries get married to these men mostly to somehow come to the unites states.

Hi Friends,

Just wanted everyone to know that i had my oath ceremony yesterday and now my journey with uscis is finally completely over.

Now i have a new process to wait for, my US passport .

We were asked to be in the hall at 7:30 but the ceremony actually begun at 10:00 and got over by 11:30.

Was a very nice experiance hope all of you get to do it soon.

I have a question , I was accepted in the military with the extention letter ( my I 751- is in process), but I am going to the selective reserve so who helped you in your application and can you do it when you finish the boot camp or A school or just when you take the oath in your boot camp , please help me i am leaving for boot camp in 3weeks and i want to know

In my case it made a very big difference my attourney have told me that if my wife was present for the interview it makes a huge difference on the one who interviews you .And it did in my case our inetrview was just great.In the begining only the applicant is called in atleast in my case and while we started the interview i let the interviewer know that my wife was outside and if she was needed to come in also and the lady said sure and it was all good .

I think its a great idea even if they dont call you in but knowing ur out there really makes a difference.

Does anybody have any experience with getting a tourist visa for Great Britain if sponsor? Here is the situation: I have to go to London for my continuing education credits, i will be there 4 days. I am thinking of having my wife meet me in London for the 4 days then flying to her country of Ukraine.

what is the likelihood of sponsoring her visa successfully? of course we have reams of proof we are married and have filed and received NOA. Etc.

any insights into this would be appreciated.

I am also on active duty and i think you should aks ur husband to check with his admin dept about this situation.

i know for a fact that if you could accompany him on his orders you can apply for naturalization from overseas

but if ur going on ur own im not sure the best thing is to check with admin and also call uscis and aks a agent urself

to be sure or take an info pass appointment at ur local immigration offfice and speak to someone there and explain

ur situation.

because i joined the US Military,and all military personel are eligible for citizenship immediately once ur in.

And my case was expedited because im going on deployment in a few weeks.

And about filing from nebraska instead of of california is because all military applications have to go thru nebraska.

Just got a call early morning from admin saying i need to go to the immrgration office today and give the naturalization interview at noon.

I was asked 7 questions which were really simple was asked to read a small scentance and write one also.

And since my case was expetited i got the very next date for the oath which is in 6 days.

finally no more waiting anymore.

Hey just called NSC and found out that my case is complete and mailed to my local office.

How long will it take now to get an interview especially when i have sent them an expedite request.

The agent told me in 2 weeks i should have my interview.

Just want to know if any of you know how long it take after it reaches the local office.
