I tried but messed up so I had to scrap it...will try again another day but if someone else can get to it before me that will be great. I'm talking about the April filers list. The list here and spreadsheet is out of sync. In addition, there are those who have posted their information here but aren't on the either list.

What about Seattle? Any ideas guys? Anyone know how long it takes after the fingerprints?

The total processing time for Seattle is about 6 months. That's pretty fast.

I don't want to be pessimistic but my field office (Atlanta, GA) is one of the slowest and backlogged offices in the country. One field office serves both Georgia and Alabama. It's not as if these states are like Montana or the Dakotas (no offense) in terms of population. I looked through Atlanta timelines and found that the process goes fast until biometrics or "in line" and then stalls. Anyway, I'm hoping that my case will be one of those exceptions that goes fast.

 

same here I was actualy hoping to get lawrence MA it would have been over an hour drive but the timeline is way faster then hartford CT ,

I see hartford as one of the slowest  average wait time after fingerprint 7-8 month , wish there was a way to choose the field office 

According to current USCIS processing time table which is extremely accurate , NYC and ATL field offices are running just about the same - about 9 months for N-400. Hartford is just a tad faster at about 8 months. I estimate my interview will be anywhere from late December 2017 to early February 2018.

 

Just checked my mailbox and biometrics appointment is set for May 16. They cut it a bit close!

My bio is scheduled for May 19.

Same here. Got the alert couple hours ago. 

10 Year GC in hand. Same old same old...just as expected (and hoped for). No sweat either way because if all goes well I'll be surrendering in about 9 to 12 months.

It depends on her situation. Sending in N-400 before ROC is approved helps in some situations and hurts in others.

Let's say for example you filed ROC and became eligible for citizenship 3 months after filing. If ROCs are taking 1 to 1 1/2 to be adjudicated filing N-400 early will be a good idea because it will be likely that interview for citizenship will be scheduled before ROC would have been approved (ROC will be adjudicated at N-400 interview).

This is your scenario:

You're (your wife) is a May filer and May ROCs have already started getting approved. If your N-400 application hits the system before your case if adjudicated it may cause a delay. I don't have concrete proof or firsthand experience of this but I've heard that they may wait until your N-400 interview to adjudicate your ROC. I've also heard that you won't get an actual Green Card if you're approved while N-400 is pending.

If your wife doesn't need to have a physical GC within a year I'd say file the N-400. But it she needs a physical GC, you may want to wait till ROC is approved. 

Reasons she may need a physical GC:

1. For the job

2. To obtain or renew driver's license

3. For travel purposes.

Some people have reported difficulties in these situations when a physical GC is not present.

All I know is that this is unneeded stress for us. My wife is superwoman and is dealing with all of this, plus work while being 8 months pregnant with our first child. 

I understand how you feel. It makes it worse to see some people at the end of the May filers line have already gotten approved. I don't understand their logic in processing cases. They say "cases are processed in the order they are received" but there are obviously other factors at play.

Don't stress it too much. I would give it another 2 weeks or until you're outside "normal processing time"  before considering other actions like contacting your State Senator.

Congratulations on the baby. Wish you guys a safe delivery.

Timeline doesn't tell the full story for many. Take me for example. I don't have a formal timeline but some of my past info is in my signature. I came here as a B-2 visitor and then changed to F1 Student. Got married for the first time about 4 years later. Filed for AOS with the first marriage but things fell apart before the first interview. Got married for the second time in 2012. None of this info is listed in my "timeline". Maybe I'll include it at some point when I have the time to find exact dates.

I guess you can use this rule of thumb - Anyone filing for AOS most likely came here on some temporary status not related to getting married.

My email alert came in about an hour after the text alert. Not sure why. They came in at around the same time with the first change in online status.

For the Roc we put every documents that required including travel together to my home country (pics with family, receipts, etc.).

I am just curious after checking every approvals and seeing that they're mostly applied from their home country and thinking they process them faster since they have longer relationships together. 

I don't know maybe I just have bad luck with this type of stuff.

My AOS interview was hellish as well and for partly the same reason - lack of evidence. Less evidence for AOS than ROC may be understandable, especially in cases where the marriage is only a few months old but you still need some form of evidence. 

You had a Stokes Interview the first time around? Wow. 

You'll likely hear something on your case soon. Hoping it's an approval.

The burden of proof is always on you (us). Even more so for ROC. They really don't expect that much evidence with AOS because most people are newlyweds. ROC commands more evidence because you need to show 2 years worth of proof of a good faith marriage.

Another status change for me - Card was mailed today. Can get it as early as Saturday but more likely to come next week.

This whole process can be nerve-racking. I try to calm people's fears and frustrations but I can't say I wouldn't be frustrated with the wait. It's not late in the game so don't get too nervous. It's very possible that some here wouldn't get any word until mid May. Does that mean something is wrong? It could, but it could also mean that you're stuck with a slow officer who has not gotten to your case yet.

RFE for waiver cases are almost always certain. There is a recent instance here where a waiver case got approved without RFE or interview but the ROC application was supported with a massive amount of evidence that included a positive letter from the ex spouse. You may not need to go that far but you might get lucky if you included very good supporting documents.

You're right!

You only need to provide proof of registration if you were required to register or provide a letter from the Selective Service Administration if you were required to register but didn't register. You weren't required to register so you're good.

That's interesting. Is there another way to sign up for alerts besides using your receipt number? I thought they only started alerts on cases after the first NOA has been sent.

I know...That's why I'm not making a fuss about it. I actually prefer the old design - It looks more like an official government issued document (IMO). I loved the optical stripe on the back (not on the new). The new design looks more like a fun pass to some ...I don't know...somewhere.
